Dream a Little Dream of Me

"Lately, I've been having... weird dreams..." Sparrow started, as she hesitated a bit before finally getting the courage to tell her friend about the events as much as she could.

"Hmm?" Erandia paused her actions, fully intent on listening towards her friend's plight. "Maybe it's your subconscious telling you something, I wonder? Like, what did Freud said in psychotherapy--"

"It's not that... I told you about... my dreams about various worlds before, right?" Her friend nodded solemnly, sensing the mood of the brunette.

"So, you discovered a brand new one?" The red-head raised her eyebrow at the prospect of an undiscovered world.

"Kinda...? It's still a bit fuzzy. I just remembered a pretty white-haired lady and someone... teaching her?" The brunette sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose. Sparrow tried her best not to let it overwhelm her, recalling the enchanting voice narrating the events.

"Are we gonna go full-on Colombus on this new world? Manifest Destiny and all that crap--"

"Gods, I hope not! Especially since I know you'd just use that as an excuse to go on vacation." At her friend's aghast, Erandia laughed loudly, as a shit-eating grin settled onto her face. A few minutes passed as the two friends casually let the silence settle in before the red-head once again broke it with a simple question.

"Have you tried asking Gunnthrá about, you know...?" As the words left her mouth, Erandia barely hid the cringe she made, regret slowly creeping onto her when she saw Sparrow tensing up and her knuckles turning white from her harsh grip.

"She's... she still hasn't woken up..." Sparrow admitted, her words barely a whisper near the end of her sentence. "... And I haven't seen her in any of my dreams. Not since..."

"I'm sorry."

"It's... okay. I would have gone to her for answers too, if she..." Sensing her friend's distress, Erandia stood up and awkwardly hugged her friend.

"She'll be back. You know how strong your wife is."

"Yeah... You're right."

"Of course I am, you taught me all I need to know after all." Sparrow finally laughed at her fellow summoner's proud admission, mentally thanking her for her attempts at making her smile.

"Flatterer."

After a few more words of encouragement and finally, farewells, the two went their separate ways and back to their own respective Zeniths.

"A new world, huh?" The red-head muttered to herself, her Breidablik showing the E3 trailer for Fire Emblem: The Three Houses.

"So... The FE Sage strikes again~" She laughs at the little in-joke as she meets up with Frederick and Gordin waiting for her near the entrance of the Arena gates.
