Amusement Park Respite
[CANON] After defeating the demon that stole Sirius's body, most of the people who were involved in that battle spend a day at an amusement part in Obsyma that had recently opened for free. While things were supposed to be fishy at first, nothing seems to happen? No one is sure why this is the case.
Author's Notes
Note: Sirius didn't get to see many people during his recovery aside from Okeanos & Demiurge, hence why it took him a while before noticing Wolfgang. Also, the two had never met in Artherium beforehand.
II. Friend from the past
Fortunately for Sirius, the whole Executioner incident was not known to most people in Obsyma, aside from those who directly contributed to resolving it, as well as all of Procyon’s workforce. This meant his reputation would not be ruined…for now.
On the day Sirius was able to go back to his usual activities, every visitor was instantly kicked out of the mansion by Procyon himself. While some started enjoying their stay, most people completely expected this and were practically waiting for it, although they still question the reason Procyon specifically waited until Sirius was fully healed before going back to his old ways when he could’ve used this opportunity to take his younger brother for himself.
With their job in Obsyma being done, Minerva & Demiurge decided to leave to go back to exploring the paranormal in the Equinox Library. Everyone gave them a modest goodbye and they set off to their origin region. Watching the two leave made Okeanos want to leave as well, as he had a whole library to take care of, but both Sirius & Wolfgang tried convincing him to stay for a bit, especially since the librarian doesn’t take that many breaks.
“Aw guys, I’m glad you want me here, but I can’t just keep leaving the library to Calypso! I know she wouldn’t mind taking it over for as long as possible, but I think they deserve to take a break too!” Okeanos exclaimed in protest.
Sirius held Okeanos’s hand and stared at him with a saddened expression. “Aw man, I haven’t seen you in months, and the one time we can actually do something together, you want to leave? And I wanted to bring you to a location I know you’d enjoy too…”
The librarian spent a minute trying to keep a stern expression to tell Sirius that he had a job to do, but couldn’t keep it for long. He knew Sirius had just recovered after essentially being mentally tortured for months, and Okeanos simply couldn’t leave his friend alone after going through so much.
“Alright, fine, I’ll stay with you for a little bit longer! I didn’t mean to make you feel like I don’t want to be with you, in fact I love spending time with you!” Okeanos exclaimed. He, then, stared at Wolfgang, who seemed oddly excited over all of this even if he had only met Okeanos in an urgent situation. The lycan was seen wagging his tail very aggressively.
“Woah! I don’t know what happened between you and Wolfgang, but it looks like he really wanted you to stay for a bit, huh!” Sirius stated with an air of curiosity. The vampire, then, quickly turned in Wolfgang’s direction with the most surprised expression. “Wait a minute, WOLFGANG!?”
“HAHA! I’M GLAD YOU FINALLY NOTICED ME, SIRIUS! Glad to see you around here, buddy! Really missed ya!” Wolfgang barked with the biggest grin on his face.
“Dude! That’s amazing! First, I get to see Okeanos again, now I get to see you too? Who else used to be in Laurencia and is also here, huh?” Sirius’s expression lightened up even more, almost looking like he could explode of excitement anytime. But then, his expression darkened a little bit. “Sorry you had to meet me when I wasn’t fully myself, though, that’s very unfortunate.”
“Don’t worry about that, I’ve dealt with worse”, Wolfgang responded, while wincing at his previous memory of Procyon killing off a clone of Sirius just to get him to do what he said.
From a distance, Xena could be seen, trying to make many gestures towards Sirius. More specifically, those that meant “come here, I have something to show you”. Noticing this, Sirius & the others joined his girlfriend and wondered what she was up to. “Took you boys long enough! Love, while you were trying to recover, me and a few other people planned a trip to this new amusement park in Obsyma that just opened! I heard there’s something for everyone to enjoy, and I somehow managed to get free entry for everyone! Isn’t that amazing?” Xena rambled with glee & excitement, fully knowing that her boyfriend enjoyed amusement parks.
“Oh, Xena…you always know how to cheer us up…you’re literally the best, I hope you know this”, Sirius softly thanked his girlfriend, almost on the verge of tears from how supportive she was even if he kept making her go through everything that was caused by him or/and his own problems.
“We’re going tomorrow, so you guys prepare and rest well! Oh, also, we unfortunately don’t have enough space for Okeanos, so he might have to stay with Wolfgang for a while. I hope that’s fine!” Xena declared.
Okeanos quickly replied, although nervously. “Oh, uh that’s entirely fine by me, uh…”
“Xena. You can call me Xena!”
“Xena!” Okeanos happily shouted.
Okeanos quickly followed Wolfgang, while Sirius was euphoric at the idea of spending more time with his girlfriend after getting stuck in books for a few months.
