March Tamable Dragon 2

Soothing down his clothes as the wind picked up again on the breezy day, it was a beautiful day to be outside (hence they were). Off to the side Clover could see Kiwi and King getting along, playing a game of chase or tag where Kiwi was darting after the mechanical noodle who just kept ahead of her as his small little tugged tail wiggled so happily for their day of relaxation and food. Everyone had previously sat and ate, or almost everyone as Aster had gone missing soon after they arrived in the little forest.

Worrying a bit, the rider knew Aster was fine as he didn’t feel anything through their bond that would distressful, but all the same he went searching for him. Kiwi followed out of curiosity, always wanting to follow her nice rider so she could get praise sooner over late. Dashing off to catch a little lizard, he was very much telling the dragon how she was when he heard rustling.

Clover looked up as he saw his long dark blue storm noodle humming in a pleasant way. Swinging his basket too and fro that had a bunch of berry clusters he must have been gathering when he wasn’t paying him mind. As they were out here to just soak up nature and relax, indulge in a small picnic and eat food, put work on the back burner. Here Aster was though, going out and finding a bunch of berries as his other small hoard of dragons took to playing over working.

“Are you going to eat the berries?” Clover ended up asking. “You could have just asked if you wanted something fruit wise.” He was unsure what Aster planned to do with them, but as they were all gathered by him he was going to let him keep them. Aster shook his head however, letting his rider take the basket from his mouth so he could talk while the younger dragons skittered around in excited ways around their legs or lack of legs.

“Nope! I was going to see this pretty bird dragon I found. I heard if you are lucky sometimes wild dragons can be tamed if you are nice to them. They also just seem hungry too.” Aster reached out to take the basket after his explanation, slithering off towards more bushes and leaving Clover looking quite surprised before he slowly followed after him.

Behind him Kiwi had bored of play and was chasing after some bird, all flying off as the small bean was full and slower than normal. Huffing, he watched as her tail wiggled, still until she pounced on something, just barely catching it as she ran over to Clover looking so pleased.

“Yes, such a good girl. You want to follow and see what Aster is doing?” He asked her, making sure the rest seemed fine on their own and they all seemed to be calming down after eating. He hadn’t traveled far before he caught sight of the missing one.

Agreeing, the pair followed quietly behind the eldest of his dragons as he kept gathering. The storm dragon paid no mind as Kiwi darted back and forth to burn off calories, her speed picking up and soon the smaller dragon was hunting and chasing all sorts of wildlife as Clover stayed low to the ground and hidden in the bushes as he watched the other. Slipping the basket on the branch though, Aster seemed to know and able to talk again he turned towards his rider.

“You can come with me without creeping you know, they’re right over here!” Motioning his head to a clearing, Clover stood up and left Kiwi to chasing after a rabbit, sure that she’d be fine on her own as she did travel.

“Fair enough, let’s see who this dragon is.” The rider was still tentative, knowing not all wild dragons were so kind and often wanted to battle and fight.

Bushing aside bushes and branches, Clover kept his guard up as he slowly excited the thick of the forest and into the clearing in the forest. Blinking as he stepped fully out he stared at the mostly white bird looking dragon, head tilting back and forth as he figured them to be a wind hybrid in the very least. Making a chirp noise as Aster headed towards them, he stopped to look back at Clover as if asking would he join. Heading closer to Aster the pair went closer together as Clover took some of the berries to hold to the other to eat and grinned as the wild one gently took them and cooed at him. Her large leather wings tucked nicely against her body and she looked so content being hand fed.

“Isn’t it such a nice dragon? She was laying here when we landed. She looks like that white mouse the young boy has.”

“Liqu and Kaz,” He corrected him, knowing Aster cared not about names but didn’t stop him from trying all the same. “I must agree it is quite a nice dragon.” Looking around, he wondered if a rider left her or something, but no one seemed to be close so sitting down he called Aster close for his dragon to lay near him as he hand fed the abandoned one, smiling and wondering if this was indeed one of the tamable Aster was talking about earlier.
