March Tamable Dragon 1

The day was bright, rays of bright sun leaking through the trees above to illuminate the dinner underbrush that was home to of course the usual creatures living there but also to a small group that was traveling through to go see a medium sized wild one who had been so sweet so far and interested the feline demon rider who had stumbled across them via one of his other dragons. A black blob with white speckles darted through, slowly as she started hopping curiously through the long grass. The dark colored hen shaped dragon made a soft meow into the emptiness as her triangular ears flicked.

She had followed Clover this far, but the slippery rider with the other dragon they had brought along had wandered off as she was left alone holding the offering that was her small meat. She didn’t know much about wild dragons, often keeping to herself as she traveled or interacted with the tamer dragons, but the bird seemed to be pleased when offered gifts and with her rider so interested in the dragon she wanted to give it a try. She could see though, as after some laying and hunting around the mostly white bird last time they were there it was clear it was one of the elements of his dear husband. Her rider wasn’t always simple but that was one of his more adorable qualities, Clover loved anything that would remind him of that irrit when he was away from him.

Starting to look around worried, she heard a noise that had her turn her big emerald eyes to and stare at as the foliage moved. Crouching into a crouching wiggling butt pouncing position, she was all too ready to chase or tackle whatever this was. Even if her main option for attacks was currently preoccupied (her mouth), she was prepared to attack whatever this could be with her claws. Just as she was about to leap forward, out came the grey and yellow colored dragon that was also beloved to the brunette haired rider. King, a curious noodle who was younger but very smart and devious. Spoiled, but useful indeed as he liked to please as well.

“I found her!” King called back as he looked over his shoulder, soon after the rider sighing as he appeared into sight and came from the bush.

King soon after zoomed off, a weighing bag on him that he was plucking flowers and plants to put into, but his sight was elsewhere and was merely getting distracted. Weaving in the air, twisting and wrapping around branches, the noodle often got his sights set on one thing to gather but was always trying to expand just enough it wasn’t obvious. Clover paid no mind to King for now though, strolling over to pick up Kiwi just as King darted past into a bush to wrap himself around the greenery and pluck the berries off in one big motion before shoving them right into the bag that hung from his body. Ah, King was after berries it seemed. Maybe he too was wanting to offer to the dragon? Kiwi didn’t think so, he was a little too greedy for that.

“Where did you even lose us?” The rider started, rubbing his face on his dragon who purred through a full mouth before he stared at the sweet dam who just stared at him with big eyes that she figured would answer him just fine. “Did the bird distract you?” He asked the dragon who despite her full mouth tried to talk, making her charming rider just smile and pet her as they watched King gather all he could in the few moments they hadn’t been constantly moving.

It was silent, both watching him just shove almost endless amounts of red and blue berries into the bag, frantic but having a pleasant time before Kiwi tried to speak again. Getting no answer as it was for one muffled and for two gibberish. As her tail hit against Clover he looked down at her, her eyes darting in the direction the dragon was last time before to the meat in her mouth. It all connected as he put Kiwi to his shoulder and watched King a little more.

“You can hang back if you want to, King. You didn’t want to see the wild dragon did you?”

“No, I didn’t. But I don't want to get separated either.” Gathering one more small hoard, he pressed on after Clover who led the way, ears twitching as he was just so happy to be off to see the wild dragon again.

It didn’t take them too much longer to get where they were going, Clover stepping over the fallen log and cooing so gently at the white leather winged bird that looked similar to a swan. The wild dragon perked up, cooing back at him in a more sing-song tone as he headed over. Kiwi hopped down first. Surprising the white dragon but both seemed to be just curious and Kiwi offered her gift that was taken so carefully so no one was injured. The dragon was pleased as last time being offered the food, Sniffing at the bird, Kiwi jumped as their long beak reached over to her, nipping at her tail that had her turn around fast and had Clover laughing as he carefully sat down with the pair and talked so sweetly. Even if it wasn’t at her, Kiwi enjoyed it as well, eventually settling down to cuddle with the dragon as Clover stroked the white smooth scales of the other and fluffed their head plumage. It was a pleasant day, one Clover hoped brought him closer to charming the dragon.
