June Tamable Dragon 1

Loud noises of the city alive and bustling were vivid and clear to many for miles around. Everyone was talking over one another, wanting to be heard in the air that sounded like it was filled with nonsense talk. Stepping back from a curb as a car loudly honked its horn at the people crossing, the rider’s brown set of ears laid back against his ears for a moment before standing back up to twitch away at the variety of noises that was being taken in. Noises he was not used to, living out in an oasis with at most 20 creatures around, most of them dragons and usually not home as they were left to their own devices.

Hearing a fussing noise next to him, he looked over to his darling husband trying to calm the small ginger feline who was crying at all the noises. That too drowned out for many but Clover paid as much attention as he could to his young son until his fussing quested down to small whimpers and whines that would be more bearable for his irrit husband.

“Are you sure you don't want to join me?” He asked Kane again, disappointed as he was told he was suuuuuure. With a deep sigh, he understood however.

The small family had come into the town together, but for different reasons. Kane had been invited to see some of his large caravan family that had split off due to old age and it being harder to travel all the time. They still did, but took a break in a more permanent residence in the harsher desert times that could spell their demise. Giving Kane a kiss and Jaime a small forehead kiss, he waved as they vanished off into the streep.

Hearing a soft hiss from below his cloak, followed by a soft reassuring words, a bark, some soft coos, and then a meow that came from a bag hidden on his back. He himself has his small posse that was staying hidden from the loud noises they also weren’t too familiar with.

“It’s alright King, it’s just city noises. You’ll get used to them.” Hearing another meow, he felt the short haired calico neko rub against him, trying to be heard over all the noise until the dark haired rider gave the female a good scritch before she crawled back into the bag to hide from the noises that displeased her ears.

“It’s so loud though, why are we here again?” The King belt huffed, his head resting on Clover’s side opposite his small bag that was currently holding Kiwi who was in her state of awake but dozing after a long travel from her husband’s abode to back home from the trip. Kross hung onto the bag, ears twitching as Kiwi too the liberty to start explaining.

“Wild dragon!” Kiwi pipped up, a bark heard again as Kloud darted out from under the shade of his rider. THe energetic pup didn’t like the noises but with everyone hiding under the cloak it was also so crowded and he liked that less. Kross followed up with his gentle coo at the noodle dragon that was all he really managed with his softer voice.

“Rider said was a fire noodle and we should seeeeeeee! He said was a pretty dragon!” Kross had come along just to see this fire noodle, loving to see all the different types of dragons that existed in the world. Otherwise he was learning very well how to be a good housewife, cooking and cleaning the oasis when the boys were gone.

“Kross is right, A wild dragon has taken up home in a temple and become quite the attraction, I thought we could go have a look and see them as we are here. It allows everyone to see the city that little bit more and also maybe make a new dragon friend. Ahhhh, don’t run too far ahead Kloud, it’s a busy street!” The pup stopped, waiting for Clover to catch up before trotting alongside him on their walk. He was small and mostly fluff, and had come to learn to listen so well as he got older. He made Clover so proud!

“I suppose....” King mumbled, drowned out by the happy coos and chirps of Kiwi and the soft yeses from Kross who adored all the dragon friends they made along the way.

“And we need to go that way for shopping anyways, the hotel fridge is getting rather empty.” Clover added in, he did promise Kane he’d pick up some food and drop it off at the hotel room before he went after him and all, and he often kept his promises to that darling ginger who he adored and loved so.

“Aw yes! Shop!” Kiwi wiggled, sticking her head out of the cloak but back in as a car whizzed by as they walked. Kross came out though like Kloud had, walking alongside Clover in his own dark colored cloak so he looked just like Clover but smaller.

The city was without a doubt alive and thriving, the small troop making their way down the street. King eventually came out to look at shop windows as Clover bought some vegetables and meats from stalls, stopping at a shop that was more like a grocery store than the stalls that lined the road. It was a quick visit though, stopping in to pick up a few canned and boxed goods for them. It wasn’t a lot and didn’t take long at all, Clover shoving the last bag into the bag Kiwi had been resting in and still was, though squished off to the side so the food could go in.

“Dragon time?” Kross asked, tugging on the taller male’s clothes. A smile coming across Clover’s face as he rubbed the dark blue fur that covered the sweet male.

“Yes, dragon time. Let’s head to the temple.”

Just a little more down the street, a large temple was seen atop a hill. A crowd heading too and from the building that was well kept and if it wasn't packed would be relaxing. Clover and the gang weren’t the only ones that came to see this wild fire dragon who had taken up residence temporarily in the holy place. The climb up the many rows of stairs was the worst of it, people moving slowly up them and many being annoyed enough to turn back from how packed everything was. Maybe ideas of another day they could come see, but who knew how long the dragon would stay.

At the very top though, sat the dragon. It was given a deep red colored plush cushion to lay on. It’s black and muted green wings tucked to the side as it’s noodle-like body curled up on the soft lay area. The chest lit up green with flames as it sat proud and happy, lowering its head to the hands being held up to it and small coins taken away. Offerings of a sort to please the pretty dragon.

“Come on, let’s go join them.” He told the group, pressing himself to the front as he dug into his pocket, pulling out a shiny silver coin for each to take. Many just gave their offering and left, pleased with that alone but Clover wanted to let his dragon meet this one while he was there.

“Ooooo, she is very pretty.” King said out loud, first to grab his coin and zip ahead. Being a wyrm he didn’t have to abide by the laws of land dwellers with no legs. Circling the dragon, his whiskers held the coin before holding it out, being stared out with slight confusion before his coin was taken and a toothy grin given that left the noodle blushing.

Kross followed, the shorter dragon too short to reach but climbing up he offered his coin as well, even getting to pet the pretty dragon! He was so excited, hopping off to go chase after King and tell him how nice the wild dragon was! Even if King already was thinking the same thing.

Shaking his head, Clover and the other two much smaller dragons followed up the back of the offering line they created. Kloud went next and Clover picked him up and held out the pup who had the coin in his mouth. Soft barks muffled by the object that was taken, and then gave way to help yips that startled the resting bean.

Kiwi followed, getting out on her own as she handed the coin over with her little feet, patting the dragon and telling it it was a good dragon before darting off after Kloud who could be heard petty clearly over the noise of everything else.

And alas, Clover. Who sighed as he took his time, hand stroking along the smooth scales as he held his coin out to the other. Admiring how pretty she was and getting those soft pleased rumbles.

“Sorry about them all, they’re just so excited. You have a good time now, alright?” Getting those confused blinks, he wasn’t sure if the wild dragon knew how to speak and supposed it didn’t matter, waving as he headed off.

The rider had places to be, he did after all also promise he’d meet up with Kane to meet his family as well. He wished he had left his day a little less busy, but he left the busy temple feeling nice.
