Some sections of the template were repetitive or not relevant to the character in question which is why I also removed them for those reasons.

Backstory

Just as his namesake implies, Sunny has this effect of making everything brighter wherever he goes. Sunny's infectious charm brings zest to any mundane environment. What makes Sunny admirable is his nobility and enthusiasm for life. He loves the thrill of exploring new horizons like a captain at the helm of his ship. He is cunning and crafty like any storybook swashbuckler along with having the appeal of a fairytale merman. Seems like he has it all, right? No man of good moral character is ever without their fair share of trials and tribulations. As the old saying goes, a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.

As a child, Sunny’s top priority was to make the best out of every situation just as his father taught him. He was something of a prankster and was susceptible to peer pressure from the neighborhood children. School days were never boring with Sunny around as he perfected his mischief-making throughout the years, making some trips to the principal’s office worth it. Sunny’s pranks - no matter how harmless - always roused curiosity from his target. His best pranks were ones that brought classroom justice; for example, getting even with a mean teacher via prank calls or switching the letters around on the school sign. Sunny also had no trouble standing up to bullies and speaking out for his schoolmates. Sunny’s pranks were used for good. His fearlessness was revered throughout the schoolyard as he was reigning ‘Class clown’ for a few years straight. Unfortunately, his reign was cut short as he transferred schools due to this behavior. If there is anything Sunny loves the most, it would be swimming. Sunny loved playing in the water and it was difficult to get him out sometimes. As he progressed through life, his love for the water remained the same.

Making friends is Sunny's forte. Over summer vacation in Hawaii just before 6th grade, he met his first and very best friend, Keani Mahelona, who shared his love for the sea. They took surfing lessons together and entered many surfing competitions, winning various awards left and right. Keani and Sunny continue to surf and remain best friends to this day. However, not everyone is phased by Sunny's carefree and admirable character. His rivalry with Garrett Thorne traces back to the summers away at music camp as children. As a prodigal son of a renowned violinist, Garrett had years of tutelage from his father under his belt. Sunny, however, had only just begun learning the violin through private lessons from a close friend of his mother’s, who just so happened to be a music teacher. After years of hard work, Sunny got to the point where he can play toe to toe with Garrett, much to Garrett's chagrin. One night before an important concert, Garrett deliberately destroyed Sunny's violin so that he could play the solo that was meant to be his. Sunny figured out that it was no accident right off the bat and instead of confronting Garrett about it directly, Sunny's instructor loaned him his personal violin just for the concert - and a high quality one to boot. Sunny got even with Garrett by playing the solo beautifully that night, which earned Sunny the 1st chair hot seat next season.

After moving to Torrine as a teen, he made more best friends along the way - Marco Alberti, Blaze Taylor, and Kian Prescott, who formed a band known as the Four Aces. They played at various venues while balancing their academic lives. Sunny had to put up with much more adolescent conflict aside from the usual struggles. Although Sunny has a pretty good rapport with the ladies during his time with the band, there's only one who caught his attention - Catherine Reichart. She had an air of mystery to her as she came in to his life out of the blue, but her story would intertwine with his. At first glance, Sunny had a heart-pumping curiosity about her but he didn't want to jump to any conclusions that might scare her away. Kian volunteered to be Sunny's wingman, but had devious intentions of claiming the girl for himself as an addition to his growing harem. Kian successfully wooed the girl in her naïveté and deliberately lied to Sunny about their relationship - he would dismiss her affections to save face but he truly knew Sunny’s charm and appeal rivaled his own and the thought of seeing Cat with someone other than him was asinine. So, he decided to take matters in his own hands. Sunny hadn’t known Cat for very long, yet he noticed her strange behavior the longer she was with Kian - she lost a lot of sleep, constantly doubted herself, blamed herself for Kian’s mistakes, and even neglected to nourish herself. What kind of relationship yields this behavior as the norm? Until the truth had come to fruition that Kian had been bouncing around from multiple lovers, Sunny confronted Kian and demanded he release Cat from their toxic relationship that bore no benefit for her. Upon refusal, the two of them fought and both of them ended up with in-school suspension that day (their food fight was taken to a whole other level). This fight led to the disbandment of the Four Aces as Sunny explained to Marco and Blaze about Kian's actions towards Cat. Before they could officially split, Kian would only agree to separate the band on one condition: a farewell performance and to take Cat to senior prom. No surprise, Cat was stood up on the big night and Sunny escorted Cat in his place as she decided to end her relationship with Kian. They danced the night away as Sunny got to know Cat the way she felt comfortable and happy, a feeling she hadn't known for herself for some time. In return, Cat provided an unconditional and understanding relationship Sunny so desperately craved.

College was when the fighting got even sneakier. The night of an on-campus event was when Kian made an attempt to sexually assault Cat, causing Sunny and friends along with another witness named Atticus to intervene until campus security showed up, sparing Cat from any more of Kian's lustful schemes after she had already terminated their relationship long ago. Kian was quickly replaced with Atti, but after forming his own crew Kian persistently stalks Cat and holds bitter resentment towards Sunny and his friends to this day.

While working on earning his master's degree in marine biology, Sunny can be seen working at the Sirena Palms Aquarium in Helena Springs. Sunny works in the research lab as well as help take care of the sea creatures that come and go - most of them have been rescued from oil spill first respondents or from illegal poaching. Technically; the caretaking isn’t part of his job description, but the sea creatures he studies seem to take a liking to him. While not at the aquarium, Sunny and his friends have formed a new band called Captain Sea Salt's Lonesome Dork's Club Band, which rallied more success than the Four Aces with Kian. The band was formerly known as Captain Cecil's Lonesome Scallywag Band from his father’s navy days. While his father’s run with the band are long over, Sunny was asked to revive the band in hopes of keeping the Lonesome Scallywag Band commemorative museum open to the public by one of his father’s former naval colleagues who is also the curator. While not in the Lonesome Dork's Club Band, Sunny also participates in the local Torrinean Symphony Orchestra as 1st violin 2nd chair. Unfortunately, nepotism got the best of Sunny as his summer music camp rival, Garrett, landed the 1st chair 1st violin hotseat. However, the rest of the violin section is coaxing Sunny to challenge Garrett as they believe he is a better musician than him anyway. Sunny's life is a busy one. In Rise of the Enchanted, Sunny finds a talisman belonging to a lost Torrinean god of the sea that grants him dominion over water. There's a whole new world under the sea waiting just for him.
