James' Childhood & Teens

Jure’s parents actually both grew up in the Rich Area of Ä+*4~. His dad made a friend in elementary school, who was later pushed into growing up into a drag queen. The friend was unhappy with this, and it made James very upset about his friend and angry at the rich society and their pushy obsession with drag queens. James’ friend ended up depressed and killing himself, which left James bitter and angry. He was still in high school at the time, but decided to drop out, leave his family and cut all ties with his old life and a community that, as he saw it, killed his friend. He moved to a nearby town, still close to his home where he grew up, and he became a professional gambler in a casino in a rich area, while living in the less wealthy neighboring town. Since he still visited the rich area a lot, he still had some friends there, though most of them formed their own families, and had less and less time for an outcast who turned his back on his family. No matter, he did make some new friends instead along the way. While he never grew too attached to them, they eventually led him to meet Katie, a girl from a rich family who was a few years younger than him.

James' & Katie's Relationship

Katie would grow up to be a trophy wife to a rich man, another tradition James grew to detest. And he was very outspoken about his views to his new found young friend. Katie never questioned these traditions and her destiny before, but things changed after meeting James. He was a misfit, a rebel, a bad boy who stood up to his rigid upbringing. He took his fate into his own hands and broke out of the lifestyle that seemed to be already laid out for him. Hanging out with him, listening to his rebellious exciting ideas made Katie question the life she was brought up in. When her father found out about her hanging out with James, he was strongly against her hanging out with him at all. He couldn’t bear the thought that she might even fall in love with him. But that only made Katie like James more. Any time her father objected to her going out with James, she could feel the excitement of rebelling to social norms and expectations of the society she grew up in. Hanging out with James was something new, something exciting and a bit dangerous, just the thing she needed to feel alive, like she has her life in her own hands. No one could tell her who to be or how to act, no one could choose for her what kind of life to live. Being young and naive she didn’t realize that while she did break out of one life that was decided for her by society, she now let James tell her how to live her life. He encouraged her to leave her old life behind and roped her into the lifestyle he decided for her instead. The more Katie's father objected to her relationship with James, the more she wanted to rebel and more she followed James’ will. Completely in love with James she never cared about any of her father’s warnings and never thought of any consequences of her relationship, she didn’t care for the future she might have with James and it didn’t matter. As long as they are in love, nothing else matters. But soon, she did have to face the consequences of her actions; she soon became pregnant, while she was still in high school. What was just an exciting rebellious adventure, suddenly became all too real and serious. When Katie’s father found out, he lost his shit, telling her there and then to make a choice between James or her rich life she lived so far. For Katie, there was no choice, she chose James without thinking twice. James was caught off guard by Katie’s news and this sudden change in his life. He let Katie move in with him, but it wasn’t easy for them to get used to this new situation. James was already used to his lifestyle as a professional gambler, but having to suddenly take care of his pregnant girlfriend too was something else. Things were even harder for Katie, who was suddenly cut off from her wealth and secure future with good education and a good job waiting for her in her father’s company. Her father, furious, cut Katie out of his will. But thinking about it, he didn’t want the innocent kid she was expecting to pay for Katies mistakes. He decided to leave all of his wealth to the child Katie would have.

New Life & Birth of Jure

James did pretty well for himself before, but with Katie and a kid on the way, they had to save up every $ they could. They moved more far away from the rich area, in one of the more common towns of Ä+*4~. James continued his gambling career, that brought in less money now when he had to resort to less wealthy casinos, and Katie couldn’t work as she had to focus on taking care of her egg. Times were tough and the relationship wasn’t so romantic and exciting anymore. Faced with hardships of daily life on a limited budget caused a lot of tension between James and Katie, and Katie often wondered if she made a mistake. She could have lived a comfortable life with a rich husband and a good job, and instead she was here, alone with james and her egg, counting their $ to make ends meet. Any fancy clothing and trips to fancy restaurants with her girlfriends were out of the question. Not that she had any girlfriends now, living in a new town where she didn’t know anyone, and didn’t have a good chance to meet anyone either, taking care of her egg. But James and Katie did the only thing they could, they pushed through until the egg hatched and they got their son, Jure. Seeing this small child who completely relied on her and James, Katie decided it’s time for a change. Now, without the egg to take care of, she had more freedom to live her life. While still taking care of small Jure, she started taking online classes to finish her highschool education. She was always particularly fond of biochemistry, and after finishing her high school education, she moved on to learn more about that subject. As Jure grew it became easier to take care of him and after some adjusting of their schedules with James, she was able to get a job at a biochemistry lab nearby. Financially,. the life got better and easier for a young family, but now, new problems would arise.

Jure's Childhood

Young Jure always seemed to be interested in Unicorns, and started begging his mom to buy them for him as soon as he became aware of them. Katie loved her son and would never deny him anything he wanted, but James was skeptical about this. He saw this way too often when he grew up, a young boy would wish for a unicorn one day, and next thing you know they’d get caught in the world of child beauty pageants and pretending to be women until they would kill themselves. Katie thought James was exaggerating; she just wanted Jure to be happy. If he wanted a unicorn she would get him a unicorn, and if he wanted to be a girl one day, she wouldn’t deny him that either. If that would be his own choice, then there surely wouldn’t be any harm in it. Jure never ended up wanting to be a girl, but he was always more sensitive and mild mannered, which was enough for James to worry. Him and Katie would often argue about Jure’s upbringing, and James’ irrational resentment towards genderless women in general. He wouldn’t believe anyone would ever choose this lifestyle willingly. When Tim started gaining more fame and recognition, James developed a strange obsession with him. Tim reminded him all too much of the friend he lost when he was young - another unwilling victim of an insane rich mother. Katie, who would once eat up all he would tell her, now seemed completely oblivious to the situation, not caring about Tim’s wellbeing and encouraging their son to buy more unicorns. James tried to raise Jure according to his own values, even telling him to bully the neighbor's kid, Simon. But this plan only ended up with the boy becoming best friends, which wasn’t too bad of an outcome anyway so whatever. Despite what his parents thought, Jure just continued his life the way he wanted to anyway, so in the end they would both let him do what he wanted. As much as James was afraid of Jure becoming a woman, he knew what his parents not letting him be himself did to his childhood friend. In the end, it was better to not get too restrictive when it came to his son’s interests.

Jure's Relationship With Peter

Jure always had a strained relationship with his dad, and he never felt like he truly accepted him for who he was. Though being encouraged by his mom to be himself, Jure never quite knew what the right thing to do was, or who he wanted to be. He tried to stay true to himself, but also took to heart all his dad said about hwo a man should only be with a true woman, because everything else would lead to trouble. Jure did truly believe he would find a girl he could marry and be happy with, and evernutyll he would, but this wouldn't happen as soon as he thought it would. While concerned about where he is even supposed to find a true woman his dad would be happy for his son to date, Peter moved into town. He must have been living somehwere near, as Jure couldn't seem to avoid him. He was a few years older and very openly gay, something that unreasonbly annoyed Jure for some reason. A man should be with a true woman, just as his dad told him, right? He would confide to Simon about how annoyed he was with this Peter guy, but Simon didn't seem to understand. If the guy annoys him so much, then why is he thinking about his so much? That was somethign Jure himself couldn't answer. No matter what he did or what he tried to distract himself with, Peter always seemed to be on his mind. Jure, awlays being more emotional knew he had to confornt Peter and tell him exactly how he feels about him. To his surprise, Peter didn't seem to upset. He was very understanding, telling Jure that such feelings aren't uncommon in people who refuse to admit to themselves that they are gay. This really seemed to struch a nerve with Jure. He was too pissed off to respond and ran straight home to punch a wall in his room. He ranted to himself about Peter's audacity to say something like that aboout him. He talked to himself, punching walls and rationalizing to himself all that happened with Peter, and all the thoughts he had with him, until he eventually realized that Peter was right. Jure didn't hate Peter, he just hated that he seemed to develop a crush on him.
Next time Jure got a chance to speak with Peter, thing were different. He told him all he though about and the feelings he had for him. Peter told him that he felt the same about Jure, and actually that was why he always seemed to have appear in all the smae places as Jure. He wanted to get closer to him, but never got a realy chance to talk to him before. They started dating and talking and Jure told Peter all about his dad and his fear of what might happen if he tells him about Peter.
As expected, Jure's dad didn't take the news too well; he never expected his son to end up with a guy. And while James might have gotten used to this, Jure tough it was for the best if he moved away with Peter. At home, he was always stuck between emotinally distant dad and overprotective mom, each trying to pull him in their own direction, not letting him just do what he felt was the best for him. Despite his mom's pleading, Jure already made a decision: it will be the best for him to move in with Peter and start living his own life.
He promised his mom that he would stay in touch with her, he would still work with her in the laboratory, but he felt it was better to leave with Peter. In the following years, he continued to work alongside his mom, and mostly stayed away from his dad. It was during this time his grandfather, Katie's dad, died and left him with all of the family fortune. He was surprised but happy about the money, but also a bit sad realizing he never knew any of his grandparents. Both of his parents cut off contact with their families, and now he was in the same situation. He wanted to fix his relationship with his dad, but never quite knew how. He swore he would never leave his mother and continued to work with her, even after getting the money. He never quite knew what to do with the sudden wealth he found himself in, and besides spoiling himself with a more expensive unicorn toy or another item, he saved up most of it. But things couldn’t stay the way they were for long. Jure found out that Peter started cheating on him. He was kind and in love with Peter, so he decided to forgive him the first time. But it didn’t end with that first time. Peter would cheat again, and Jure would forgive him, always trying to see the best in his boyfriend. He believed Peter’s excuses, and he believed each time was the last time. But it never was the last time. Surely Peter was in love with Jure, but it was obvious he wasn’t gonna get tied down to one person anytime soon. As much as Jure refused to believe it, he had to accept the fact that staying with Peter would only cause him too much heartbreak and pain. He loved Peter, but he had to take care of his own wellbeing too, so he broke up with him.

Jure Meets And Marries Nina

Lost and heartbroken, he moved in with his friend Simon for a while. Simon encouraged him to cheer up, forget Peter, and do some fun stuff instead. Something like, attending the wedding of Mr. Mole with the Last Name Mole that was about to happen very soon. Jure figured he may as well go. He knew Peter was a huge fan of Mr. Mole and who knows, maybe he’ll run into him there; he still cared a lot about him and would be willing to absolutely forgive him and take him back, given a chance. But it wasn’t Peter who he ran into at Mr. Mole’s wedding. It was Nina. Red haired, fiery and determined she caught his attention. And in a crowd of female fans all screaming to Mr. Mole to leave his bride and pick them, a young man claiming to be pregnant with Mr. Mole caught Nina’s attention too. Who knows that it was, the romantic aura of the wedding, Jure bringing up his recently inherited money, his heartbreak and desperation to find someone new to give his love to, or Nina proclaiming she could be a boy for Jure, but after a few lighthearted jabs at each other they came to a conclusion to marry each other there and then. Along with getting a hot new wife, Jure thought this might also be a good occasion to patch things up with his father. He called him immediately announcing he’s not gay after all, as he married a completely real and ture woman. While their relationship never became perfect, it was a lot better when James didn’t have to worry about Jure becoming a woman, or forcing anyone else into it. I mean, unless Nina and Jure decide to have kids, there’s no telling what they might do to a kid. Jure just came into a lot of money and Nina is from a rich family anyway so she can’t be trusted with a son by default. But as long as they don’t have kids, James doesn’t need to worry about it.
