The Aether Realm

The Aether Realm consists of five floating islands, each with their own traditions and topography. The islands themselves are widely diverse and harbor many different species.

Aelutor

The biggest island, also known as the main island. This island acts as a capitol to all of the Aether kingdoms. The appearance is that of a large castle sitting on a cloud, giving it a fairytale-like look and feel. Aelutor is inhabited mostly by royals and upper class citizens and follows a strict hierarchy. It is home to parliament and the royal army/guard, also known by the name of the "Peacekeepers." The prestigious academy, Aelutor Academy, is located here as well.

The Peacekeepers' main job is to oversee ALL the islands in the realm. They are the overseeing law enforcement, while each island has their own local force. The peacekeepers, like their name suggests, tries to keep the peace and steady the balance. It is headed by the heir of the kingdom, Chantara, Princess of the Royal Army.

Kisazer

The island's appearance is that of a huge furnace, the core visible from the side of the land. The core surrounds the entire bottom of the island with mystical fire, allowing the island to float and maintain it's height in the air. Kisazer is most known for the forging of weapons. All weapons the Aether realm, and sometimes the other realms, use originate from this island. Weapon smiths are abundant and those studying into weapon smithing are sent here to apprentice under a master. The majority of the inhabitants are orcs, dwarves, kobolds, and other species known for smithing. The streets themselves are made from black cobblestone,  lined with smithing shops, merchants, and enchanting emporiums; it's a very closed space, as the streets are narrow. The smell of smoke is constant and hangs thickly in the air. Pubs are frequented by everyone, including off-duty royal guards. Kisazer is also home to the famous Battle Arena. It is ruled by Lord Rackner, a tough cyclops skilled in enchantments and smithing and hailed as the master of all smiths.

The Battle Arena is just as it sounds, a place where creatures are test their strength against each other. Betting is very common and the matches are regulated by the law enforcement there. It is often that a group of royal guards from Aelutor are dispatched to assist with crowd control during especially busy nights.

Vraekya

This island is sleek, with its geometrical shapes and metallic sheen. From a distance, it appears to be a large city, something you'd see in a metropolis. The buildings are futuristic and modern, as this island is based off technology and sciences. Most things in the city are run by machines and/or automated. It is also known as the "City of Lights" as even during the night, the buildings glow with activity and it can be seen from almost every other island. Robots roam freely in the streets and do menial tasks, this is place where both machine and organic beings can coexist peacefully. There are three universities located here, Vraekya University of Science, Galileo's School of Stars, and VIT (Vraekya Institute of Technology). Galileo's School of Stars does have a space program. Vraekya is ruled by a sentient android by the name of John. John was given life by Beatrice (head shaman of Mecia) and given instructions on how to rule a kingdom and interact in order to fit into society. He has been ruling ever since. John's secret goal is to become more alive and perhaps even experience emotions.

Mecia

This island has an earthen vibe, the topography is littered with forests, fields, and mountains. Long vines hang off the sides of the island, drooping down to the bottom and even farther. This island is inhabited mainly of healers and/or those studying to become doctors, but is also inhabited by necromancers and any other sort of magic that involves life and nature. Most  buildings are intergrated into the topography, most famous are the tree houses. The inhabitants are nicknamed the "Bringers of Life" due to their connection to nature and life and death. They live in small tribes, all overseen by a circle of shamans. Rather than having one person in charge, they opted to have multiple in charge to spread the responsibility, although they did choose a head shaman to make sure things move along. The head shaman is Beatrice, a tabaxi, cat folk, leopard, skilled in the art of necromancy, medicinal herbs, and rituals. Rituals are deeply ingrained in the people here, and they are highly respected. Mecia is known as the most passive of all the Aether kingdoms.

Asophate

The appearance of  this island is a mix of multiple cultures and worlds, all mushed together, giving it a chaotic feeling. The land floats on what looks like a mass of colorful balloons. This island has a diverse population and is most known for their parties and celebrations. Those studying the performance arts apprentice there, as they have a wide variety of schools to choose from. Most movies and TV shows originate from Asophate. The inhabitants are wild and easily excitable, the royal guard has the most trouble when it comes to keeping it under control. The island is policed by Showman Alistair, a short but eccentric kobold who has a mysterious amount of powerful magic, its origin unknown.

Wryath Empire

AKA the "Fallen Kingdom" or the "Sixth Kingdom" is not actually located in the Aether Realm, rather it's located in the Underworld. Originally it was part of Aelutor back when both Queen Naomi and King Dreg'draken ruled together. The king strayed from the path of good and went down a trail of suffering and evil; A fall from grace some referred to it as. This caused the kingdom to be torn apart into two separate kingdoms as the king gathered more and more followers, leading down the path of evil. This posed a threat to the queen and the rest of the kingdom. This forced the queen to split the land itself and banish the king and his followers to the Underworld. The half became known as the Wryath  Empire and is still ruled by the king, the empire acting as the capitol for the Underworld.
