Express Orphanage's Bulletins
Gumdrop Peppermint woke up, even more excited than usual. The reason for so much excitement is quite simple: the Adoptfest event is about to begin in the Express! Jumping out of bed, getting dressed as quickly as possible and heading to the main carriage, Gumdrop noticed that preparations had already begun. The decorations, balloons and banners throughout the carriage gave the place an even more lively atmosphere. The ocs up for adoption were getting ready and practicing their introductions to be adopted at the event. Everyone seemed happy and hopeful about finding a new home!

Hello everybody! Today I bring the results of the applications for employees. Congratulations to those who passed!
I would like to make something clear: don't be sad if you didn't pass this time! I had a hard time choosing the new employees (lol), so I wish you the best of luck in the next apps! ^^
Well, without further ado, let's welcome the new employees:
I ask those of you who were chosen to send me a message on Discord as soon as possible. My user there is asterhearts! A group (not a server) will be created so that we can discuss some issues better and so that I can teach you how to take care of the shelter.

Hello everybody! Welcome to another important post from the project. Today, I'm finally releasing the “Employees applications”, please read everything carefully in order to apply if you're interested!
What is an employee?
Employees are the project's helpers, responsible for helping me execute it. They can work in different areas, such as:
Receiving and sending OCs;
Answering questions;
Organizing OCs folders;
Among others.
However, as an employee, you may NOT:
*Take OCs for yourself;
Answer questions rudely;
**“Organize” OCs in the wrong folders.
*You will have a salary of 3 train tickets per week, however, you will only receive them every Sunday. You don't get a free pass to get OCs for yourself without tickets.
**If you don't know where to put a certain OC, you can ask me and the other employees.
To be an employee you need:
A Discord account;
At least one or two free hours a day to help with the project;
To know how to work as a team and accept opposing opinions;
To know how to use ToyHouse functions (specially how to mass organize OCs);
Have your main account at least 2 months old.

Hello everybody. I'm Aster, and yes, I've been gone for a long time. I am really sorry about that. I know I said I would try to make sure it didn't happen again, but some not very pleasant unforeseen events happened and... Well, I simply didn't have enough time to keep being active here.
These unforeseen events have now stopped and I feel ready to get back to work here, but I fully understand that they can return at any time. That's why I would like to finally recruit helpers/employees for the project.
Please understand that it would be a volunteer work, which means you would choose to help the project without receiving anything in return at the moment. However, you can receive employee benefits later!
This is just an interest check for the recruitment, so note that it will officially come out later!
Thank you for your understanding and patience, I know I'm leaving something to be desired but I'm also doing my best given the situations. I'll try to keep up with notifications and organize things for now, in addition to, of course, setting up the project profile.

🎮 TRAIL GAMES INTEREST CHECK
Interest check!
Do you want to participate in team games, all while having fun and competing for prizes? So I present to you Trail Games, a monthly event within Express Orphanage to keep the project active!
"How would it work?"
At a Discord server made for the Express Orphanage, 30 people divided into 3 teams (10 people each) would play some games like "Broken Telephone", "Guessing", "Testing Knowledge" and such. The event would last 7 days, 1 game per day. All games would work through ToyHouse or Discord itself.
"Could I invite some friends to be on my team?"
Absolutely! However, these friends MUST get invited to the ToyHouse world and accept the request.
"What are the prizes?"
Each person of the winner team would get 5 Train Tickets without needing to donate anything. They also may win art and money, however, If one of the prizes really is money, it would be something raised communally. I could create a Ko-fi to collect donations, where all the money raised would be used only for the project (like the prizes for this event). I could also try to sell commissions and work to raise more, but I don't guarantee that I will achieve much this way. :")
"How could I apply to participate? When would it happen?"

Good morning/afternoon/night, everyone! Today I bring you some news on Adoptfest and on the mascot name decision.
About Adoptfest
For those who don't know what Adoptfest is, it is an event on the project where you're free to adopt an oc from the Express Orphanage without needing to donate other ocs first/without needing Train Tickets. It would happen for a limited time, only for us to downsize a little bit before accepting more ocs into the train.
I've thought about this for a while, and I think 600 ocs in the shelter would be good for us to start with and see if it works out. We already have 530 ocs, when we reach 600 I will set up the Adoptfest to make a test. Each person will only be able to adopt 3 ocs, so please think carefully about which ocs you would like to take!
About the mascot
Someone suggested the names Gumdrop and Peppermint for our little mascot, and I couldn't decide between these two. I liked Gumdrop mainly because it sounds sweet, but I also liked Peppermint because it reminded me of the colors red and white. So why not match these two?

Today I'm here to update you guys about the Express Orphanage changes. Please read with attention since some of these are actually really important.
ABOUT PICREW/DOLLMAKER OCS
We understand that all ocs deserve a good home and attention equally, the problem is when there is a possibility that their owners created them for the simple reason of having tickets in a easy way. Given this fact, ocs made in Picrew/Dollmaker apps/sites will no longer be accepted on Express Orphanage. I hope you understand.
ABOUT TRADITIONALLY MADE OCS AND OCS WITHOUT COLORS
From today onwards, traditionally made and non-coloured ocs must have, at a minimum, recognizable shapes and a defined anatomy. They can be simple, just not so simple that they can be confused with any other oc that has the same proportions. The reason is the same as the previous topic: the possibility of people creating such simple ocs just to gather tickets.
OCS DIVIDED INTO CATEGORIES IN THE EXPRESS ORPHANAGE FOLDER
I managed to separate the ocs in the project folder between "furries/anthros & ferals" and "human(oid)s"! I know that the separation between anthros and ferals could have been a little better, but as we have ocs that have both anthro and feral versions, I deduced that it would be better to put them together in the same folder. Anyway, in the future I will try to separate it better by categories, but I hope that for now this update will be enough!
OFFICIAL TOYHOUSE PROFILE
Yes, we will have an official ToyHouse profile for the project. However, I have to deal with some things such as: 1. I don't have a ToyHouse invite code and 2. I would need to transfer all ocs to the profile, then separate and organize them all again. I'll probably transfer the ocs and separate them myself, after all, I have a lot of free time and I don't consider it tiring as it's for the good of the project. Anyway, I'm excited to have this new start with a new profile, stay tuned here in the world for new updates! :D
