Skulls

Skull

The head of a rattle, like the torso, is skeletal. The skull can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, not just the stereotypical 'sans-like' appearance. Markings and patterns may be found on it as well, lending more uniqueness to individuals. Despite being made of bone, rattles are quite expressive and have a full range of facial movement.

Mouth

All rattleshakes have fangs, though these tend to be more conspicuous in ve-noms and vile vials. These fangs can inject the liquid contained in the core. Teeth, just like the other bones in the skeletal parts of the shake, are not limited in colour to white. They can be any shade.

Nose

The nose of a shake resembles an upside down heart. Many colours are possible, the most common being black. The nose colour may not always match the sockets.

Sockets

The sockets of a rattle, much like the mouth and nose, have a wide variety of colour possibilities. Within the sockets are typically eyelights serving as pupils, though some individuals may possess one or none. Eyelights may range from a standard circle to more expressive shapes like stars, hearts, etc. They are not solid, and are rather magical constructs made of light. If a shake is extremely distressed, disturbed, low on core liquid, or otherwise unwell, their eyelights may go out as a way for the core to preserve liquid and therefore energy.
