The MYO opening for the April Showers event will be closing at noon EST on April 14th! Once MYOs and the Design Center is closed, all submitted designs after the cutoff will be denied.

The event itself will run all month long, and I'll be approving submitted designs as fast as I can! So whenever your Charmies are approved, you can share them and still claim the Silver Lining Badge, until May rolls around. This should give me enough time to get all the designs on the masterlist, approve any required redesigns / fixes, and prepare for the next event!

MYOs will open periodically again in the future, and more often if not indefinitely once we have a solid mod team that can manage the influx of Charmies and the prize-granting of future events.

You guys have made so many awesome Charmies!! Thanks so much! I never expected my species to take off like it did. I can only work so fast as one person so please be patient with me while I work through all the design submissions! <3

The magic of spring and new beginnings has opened some kind of gateway - Charmies are coming to life and entering the world of Charmie Central in fantastic numbers! Rainy days are nourishing the earth... It's time to welcome Charmies into the world!

From April 1st to April 14th, MYOs will be open to all who want to design their very own Charmies!
Those who do during the event will be awarded a special limited-time prize.

See below for more details - MYOs will not be open for a while after this event!

STEP ONE: Join the Toyhouse world or DeviantArt group

In order to own a Charmie and participate in events, you must be a member of the Toyhouse world or DeviantArt group. You can join both if you want! While you're here, you should check up on the Rules & Guidelines for the species, as well as the About Charmies page, to get a full rundown on what is essential to Charmies!

STEP TWO: Design your Charmie, and get them approved!

Once you've read up on Charmies, you can get started on designing your own! Visit the MYO Charmie page for design requirements. Then, visit the Design Center and follow the instructions there to get your Charmie approved and added to the masterlist! Once a Charmie is approved, you're free to use them as a character and in group events.

Need some help designing? Feel free to use this FREE TO USE Charmie base!

*Submissions might take a while to approve as the influx of new designs might be too much for me to keep up with at first! Please allow at least a few days for approval (especially over the weekend.) Any designs that are submitted near the end of the event might not be approved until after the event, but they will be!

STEP THREE: Claim your prize by sharing your Charmie!

Share your approved design anywhere you like! Twitter, DeviantArt, FurAffinity, Toyhouse, etc - either by making a bulletin, journal, tweet, post, whatever! Link back to this event journal in your post, and then comment the link to your post below to claim your prize!

You're free to share your Charmie by submitting to Charmie Central's DA group "Event" gallery!

*Designs that are submitted before the MYO deadline can still earn this prize all month long once they're approved!

Silver Lining Badge

The prize for anyone who completes the April Showers event is a limited-time Silver Lining Badge! This badge is attributed to the Charmie(s) you completed the event with - this, and any future prizes earned from events and prompts, will be displayed on your Charmie's masterlist entry as a comment. You're free to display prizes in your Charmie's character profile as well, or even make them into accessories.

Please keep in mind that this event is mostly testing the waters for Charmies! This species is a big project for me and I'm going to try something small to start as I'm currently the only mod. I'll be putting out applications for mods once more things are set up!
