Editing Guide

===Editing Guide===

Editing Gaidinian designs is allowed. There are certain rules you must follow;
- You must always obtain direct permission from the designer themselves.
- You may only edit within natural means, which refers to elements of your character that could naturally be changed, such as hair color (dye) and length (growing out, cutting), clothing, accessories, piercings, tattoos, and other body modifications. Anything beyond this requires Bubble Potion!
- Changing gender is allowed. This is connected with the rule that editing your character's body type is indeed allowed, as it is possible during a natural lifetime to change the shape of your body as well (exercising, plastic surgery, etc). This includes the transition to another gender as well!
- There is a 20% mark that you must keep. Not more than 20% of the design can be changed (unless you have a Bubble Potion). Therefore, if you want to change the hair color and style, body type, or add multiple tattoos, it won't pass as the design won't be recognizable anymore. Editing usually allows you to keep only one major thing about your design (ex. hair color and hairstyle) or several minor things (ex. add tattoos and piercings).
- Clothing is usually a free pass

All edits must be turned in for approval and approved by Aremisu (the species owner) or the mod team (pregowhales or Otaru) before they can start being used regularly. Please, notice that the original image of the design will be re-uploaded on the masterlist, no matter if your editing is minor or major. You will be credited as a re-designer of the design. For how to turn in a re-design refer to Approval Station

If you ever change your mind and decide to go back to the original design, it must be you who provides the original file, as this is considered another edit. This applies to new owners who trade for an edited character too.

WARNING: If caught using an unapproved re-design or trying to cheat/bend the rules will result in a strike!

===FAQ===

===Can I change my Nyanarr's/Kyanarr's element?===

Yes. For change within the same rarity, you need a Star Potion. For upgrading your element to a higher rarity you need a Star Potion AND an unused MYO slot of said rarity. This slot will function as an upgrade. In other words, if you have a wood Nyanarr and want light, you need to obtain a rare Nyanarr MYO to upgrade your wood Nyanarr. You won't get the original MYO slot of the wood Nyanarr back, however. Therefore, think twice before upgrading elements as you will use two MYOs (or premade and an MYO slot) on one character.

===Can I change my Kemuchii's affiliation?===

Your Kemuchii has a contract with the Blood Deity but you want them to be Peace instead? You can do that! Use Star Potion to change your Kemuchii's affiliation. However, Kemuchiis cannot be upgraded to higher tiers.

===Can I change my Kyome's birth origin?===

Your Kyome is Corrupted and you want Non-Corropted? You can do that! Use Star Potion to chance your Kyome's birth origin.

===What if my Air Nyanarr has wings but I want to make them water?===

Your Nyanarr will lose the wings (and every other element-unique trait) unless you have a rare trait upgrade for them that allows other elements to have said trait.

===Can I change my Gaidinian's gender?===

Yes. You do not need a Bubble Potion to do that, but remember that if you also change hair length, color, and other things you might go over the 50% mark. A 50% mark applies even if you change the gender.
