The Pinnacle is considered a utopia to those who remain on this damaged earth. They have access to plentiful resources and technologies, living in luxury without ever lacking anything they want or need. Everything is clean and pristine with light, open, flowing architecture and design elements that severely contrast the rigid congestion of Neoterra and Detritus.

White is the dominating color element to the design of The Pinnacle and all its structures. It adds to the bright, clean look of the environment.

Here is the only settlement where you will find real, though artificially developed, greenery. Most of the city is made up of sleek architectural materials that are a balance of organic and geometric shape languages but these elements are pulled together with perfectly manicured areas of grass, decorative trees, and other flora. That being said, there is no organically growing greenery or wooded areas and the manicured areas of flora that exist are not over abundant.

In the Pinnacle there are tremendously large buildings and imposing architecture like that of the other settlements, however in most areas they are spaced out well enough that it doesn’t feel confined. Between this, the low amount of polluted air, and mild climate The Pinnacle not only experiences frequent clear blue skies but you can actually enjoy the view of it without struggling to get a peek past the infrastructure that dominates the skyline like in the other settlements.

The people of The Pinnacle often wear clothing of expensive materials that match with the aesthetics that this settlement provides but that do not quite match the more common styles of the other city-states. White usually dominates palettes of the citizens' closets; their attire is often less vibrant and leans towards greyscale. Whites suit their hyper-sanitized city along with its more formal rigidity and as such is the most common color found in one's attire. A lot of styles lean towards futuristic business attire and formal dress. Casual clothing still maintain a certain elegance. This fashion sense is not commonly found in other cities unless worn by a Pinnacle citizen who is traveling there.

Ambinetics here more often than not mirror the fashion of its citizens. However, given they have the most wealth they can order the most extravagant of Ambinetics with no expense spared. This includes overly elegant or detailed attire that may feature more color. Often their personal Ambis will be adorned in the most expensive fashions they can manage, using their Ambis as a display of their wealth and power. Their Ambi is a status symbol and means to peacock outside of themselves. Similar to people buying expensive cars and oversized homes.

Neoterra is a seemingly endless, technicolor neon-lit cityscape that never sleeps. Frequently cloudy skies and rainy weather mean that even during the day the naturally dim city is lit up by colorful artificial lights rather than the sun. It is a large, multicultural, densely populated commercial and industrial location. If not for the power of The Pinnacle and corporations like Techwave Initiative, and relying on them alone for resources,  Neoterra would be able to be completely autonomous due to its scale.

The buildings climb so high into the sky one might wonder if they ever stop going, and the density of the buildings placements means you’re often left feeling as though you’re completely boxed in by the cityscape. Everywhere you look there are bright lights and screens feeding you advertisements and the promise of a good time.

Here people are out and about at all times of day and the streets always seem to be bustling with life. This is a city where people are frequently partying and doing whatever they can to feed into their lifestyle of overconsumption and distraction.

While beautiful in many ways, Neoterra still has plenty of room for a seedy underbelly. It is overrun by corruption, corporations, organized crime, and gang violence. Whether you’re rich or poor you have to be careful about who you’re getting yourself involved with. Though, as is most often the case, more money means an easier and more luxurious lifestyle. The higher up you’re located in Neoterra, both literally and figuratively, the better off you’ll be.

Neoterra truly embodies the idea of a cyberpunk metropolis. As such the fashion here reflects that being a futuristic hybrid of street wear and techwear. There are no qualms in showing plenty of skin or wearing tight form fitting attire as many humans like to show off their tattoos or cybernetic body augmentation. That being said, baggy fashion with boxy silhouettes and plenty of layering are very common. Bold colors, geometric patterns, and graphic prints are a common staple.

These popular styles are commonly displayed on Ambinetic models. Usually styles outside of the norm are considered more expensive in-world and can be found in custom Ambinetic orders.

DETRITUS
Social Class:
Poor Class - Struggling
Typical Weather:
Dry, near drought conditions. Smoggy, high air pollution.
Resource Access:
Low - Gets scraps from the other city-states
Crime Rate:
F - High crime rates of all varieties

Detritus is a densely packed, overpopulated location built up with often inhumane slum-like living conditions for its citizens. Despite the lack of natural landscape, the city is largely built up of gray and earthy tones. Marketplace and entertainment districts still get lit up with neon lights but nothing to the degree of Neoterra. Trash and filth is commonplace here, discarded useless items littering the narrow streets and compact corridors.

From the streets when you look up you are highly unlikely to see the sky. Not only will strings of hanging laundry from building to building obscure your view alongside the cityscape’s structures but within Detritus there is often a thick layer of smog clouding the view. That being said, Detritus is more likely to experience bright sunny days than Neoterra. Detritus is often dry and dusty, often experiencing drought like conditions which only further the struggle of the impoverished people here.

Nearly all those in power here are connected to organized crime. So as someone living here you’re at the whim of criminals and scraps that come in from Neoterra and The Pinnacle.
There is hardly ever enough to go around and while there are tight knit communities that help to take care of one another there are also many who would not hesitate to take advantage of others to get what they want or need. The crime rates are high and hardly anything is done about it as there is very little proper policing.

While those within Detritus wear clothing styles that fall within the realm of cyberpunk, street fashion, and techwear similarly to that of Neoterra the differences include a tendency for colors to be duller or even more earthy. Slates, blacks and brown tones are common. In addition to the styles already mentioned dystopian fashion and militaristic aesthetics are also interwoven into the design elements of common clothing here. Detritus attire is generally less flashy, less expensive looking, and sometimes looks as though it’s well worn or even recycled with patched up parts.

Ambis here are usually older models, recycled and resold. They tend to not to be dressed in anything of high value as it could be stolen off them. The Ambis themselves tend to be at risk in these parts. However plenty are used as security for those who can manage it. As such they may bare firearms and various forms of body armor, or simply whatever their owner can get their hands on.

THE WASTELANDS

Typical Weather:
Frequent dust & dry thunder storms. Highly polluted air.
Resource Access:
Uninhabitable
Crime Rate:

The Wastelands is what all of the land surrounding each city-state is referred to as. It is a barren undeveloped expanse filled with the rubble of the old world as well as dangerous levels of pollution and toxic waste. Remnants of humanity litter the land including the skeletons of old buildings and infrastructure as well as the literal bones of those who once lived there.

Similar to Detritus the Wastelands deals with often drought like conditions, rain being quite rare. Even so, this land is subject to harsh unpredictable weather including dust storms and dry thunderstorms. Much of the land suffers from desert like conditionals where it is dreadfully hot during the day and freezing during the night.

Nothing seems to grow out here and without any viable water sources this land is quite uninhabitable. Going out into the Wastelands is seen as a death wish, something only done by fools or desperate criminals on the run. Either way, you are presumed dead if you head out into the Wastes.

There are rumors that there are bandits who manage to live out in this land, surviving via robbing civilians and supply transports via the bullet train systems that travel between each city-state. However, this seems like an unfeasible feat.
