Prey & Predators
Preys and Predators have always been natural things in nature since the beginning of time. Cats of all sorts have learned to live side by side with these creatures. Some creatures give life to another, others take the lives. But all are part of the natural order of life itself. When cats hunt their prey they thank SpiritClan for guiding them to it. However, there are plenty of predators and rivals to the clan's lives as well. Such dangers are a testament and reminder that LanternClan is not invincible, and should never see themselves as higher than life itself. All life requires sacrifice in one way or another.
Note: Some of these animals aren't in the same area as each other, this is because this is a fictional world. I only choose animals that would make the most sense in this world.
Predators
Bears - When these creatures are provoked they can do some serious damage, some feast on bamboo.
Foxes - A half-cat half-dog creature with sharp-pointed fangs. They are cunning and smart. Never trust foxes.
Boar - These tusk-nosed creatures are easily agitated, it is best not to get in their way unless you plan to be trampled under their hooves.
Civets - These stinky creatures produce a powerful stench, they speak in some cat tongue. While not dangerous on their own, they do enjoy taunting cats into unsafe areas.
Monkeys - Beware when you come across these types of feral twolegs. They can climb trees and steal kits from settlements.
Birds Of Prey - Be vigilant, falcons, eagles, and vultures have been known to attack cats and kits to pick them up to never be found again.
Leopard Cats - Nearly the same size as normal clan cats, they will not hesitate to defend their territory, these wild cats speak fluent cat tongue.
Fishing Cats - These funny-looking cats seem to be a little bit larger than clan cats, they speak fluent cat tongue and have been seen swimming to catch prey in Cats Of Dew Leaf.
Leopards - Not to be mistaken by the smaller Leopard Cats, these guys are the big deal. They stalk in trees waiting to pounce on their next prey, easily snapping up Monkeys off of branches. They speak in some cat tongue.
Tigers - These striped creatures stalk the on the earthy soil of LanternClan, a popular kit-legend spoke of an enemy tiger that used to terrorize the territory named Wildfire.
Prey
Squirrels - These fluffy-tailed creatures enjoy burrowing nuts in the ground, they can climb trees and have amazing agility.
Rats & Maxomys - There is plenty of rodents throughout the territory of LanternClan, such as Bamboo Rats and Red Spiny Rats.
Fish - Slippery and slimy creatures in the water, Cats Of Dew Leaf enjoy these things for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some come in all sorts of sizes, like Giant-river Catfish to Carplets. However, some fish have been known to be deadly to some cats.
Frogs & Toads - Much like fish, these land creatures are hard to catch at times, jumping from one place to another, from green to brown, these creatures are also a favorite in Cats Of Dew Leaf.
Birds - Birds and fowl, such as Blue-tailed Pitta, Red Junglefowl, and Bar-headed Geese. Are all species found in LanternClans territory.
