MYO Guide

When designing MYOs there are a few rules we'd like you to glance over! Some of these questions have been asked once or twice before and we figured we'd make it nice and neat into a guide for those just starting out or want a refresher on the guide! Follow this easy guide and things can go smooth during your approval process! If anyone has any issues, please note the group or ask to speak with a mod over on the discord, thank you! Now onto the guidelines of designing your MYO.

MYO Guidelines
- No copying previously made designs or designs that already exist in the community.

 - We strongly suggest if you'd like to have plushies, robots and things as weapons that you make them obviously artificial so they are not confused with the living weapon trait!

- Large weapons, such as cars, bikes etc must not be any taller than the Lockette themselves, as it requires a lot of energy to summon.

- It speaks for itself but do not base characters on real people, celebrities, family members or friends.

- Canon characters must be inspired and not exact copies, palettes must be mixed up, weapons not identical, appearance must be clearly different characters but inspired. If you have a canon inspired character PLEASE do link them in the MYO approval stage so we are aware!

- Duplicates of canon character inspirations are bound to happen but try to make them different from anyone else!

- Regarding AUs of your Lockettes we don't mind this, however they must all stay under the same character and tab. So if you're trading the Lockette, the whole character will essentially have to go as it's effectively the same design. Please understand our reasoning behind this! We strongly encourage those making AUs to use a character that won't ever be traded!

- Lockettes are able to have PROSTHETIC limbs in the shapes of animals / critters! Though they must be obviously that and not anything furry or lifelike. This is so we don't confuse the holiday traits w/ rare traits! Any materials can be used such as glass, filled spaces with liquids, metal, mecha, etc! So there's plenty of fun things to add.

- Please ask permission from designers before making duplicates of characters (even if they're your friends!) such as twins, this isn't common in the species due to how they manifest but they can be close.

- Designer permission is needed when converting a design into or out of the species.

- Memorial characters / designs are STRICTLY discouraged. If you go down this route, it's at the discretion of the owner and only the owner, do not give that info to future owners. It is VERY touchy. This also falls under the 4th guideline of not creating characters based on real people.

- Absolutely no tracing, heavy referencing is fine for weapons but please try to use resources from bases, posers and so on rather than full on tracing.

Guidelines may be added to if anything is missing, announcements will be made if so.
