Geez, it's been a while, huh?

Actually, I don't think I've talked to a lot of you personally before! It's nice to meet (hehe... meat?) you all! (And to the friendly faces, hello!)
You've all been doing great jobs as invaders! We've almost doubled our numbers in the past year! Maybe gone a little over! It's a big deal! If we keep it up at this rate, our invasion could be complete very soon!
I don't know if you know this, but I've been kind of all over the place. I hop from job to job a lot, it helps with finding new hosts and learning about this planet!
But it also means I hear a lot of gossip.

It's been some time since I've heard about these guys, but rumors about the second wave have been cropping up again.
Like, a lot of new crabs showing up with these traits, or some of our older invaders suddenly developing them! There's a lot of variety!
Not just from first-wavers either, though! A lot of second wave Mignyans have been getting louder and prouder about their status!
I don't know what to make of it... Biology isn't my strongest suit! (I could always learn, though...)
One thing I noticed is that it's almost been a year since these rumors first started.
I wonder if that means anything...

WELCOME TO THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE SECOND WAVE!

Thank you for sticking with us for this past year! It's been an honor to serve as your mod team, and our hearts go out to each and every one of you! (Check under your seats, we left them there!)

As thanks, we've whipped up a little event for you all!

This event is going to consist of a series of mini-prompts released every 5 days from September 15th to October 5th.
You will have all 5 days to complete each mini-prompt, and the final mini-prompt is due October 10th.
Alongside these prompts, we will be releasing lore drops! Each of these lore drops will have a hint towards a clue hidden somewhere in the group.
These clues will be comments from the Mignyan Masterlist account, and only on resource posts, such as group guidelines and species information.
If you find one, reply to it for it to be confirmed!
Do not reveal the locations of clues to other participants. If you are found doing so, you will no longer be allowed to participate in the event.

Both completing a mini-prompt and finding a clue will reward you with one anniversary point!
You can earn 2 points per prompt maximum, one for completing the prompt and one for finding a clue.
Anniversary points are a separate currency from prompt points, and can only be used in the Event Shop! (Opening Soon)
You can use anniversary points to buy the things you'd normally buy in the store, albeit a bit quicker!
However, if you have anniversary points left by the end of the event, each anniversary point will count as an entry into the anniversary raffle!
The raffle will consist of upgrades you could normally buy in the shop, but also... maybe... slots?
If you win an item in the anniversary raffle, only one point (the one used to enter the raffle) will be taken as payment! 
You can only win one item from the anniversary raffle! Bigger prizes will be raffled first because of this.
Spend your points wisely!

It's hard to tell what this means off the bat. That means... we're gonna have to find out ourselves! Someone's gotta know what's going on!
Whether it's from gossip or a well-meaning friend, word of mouth spreads quickly.

The world seems to turn in some truly funny ways these days. I watch the tide wax and wane, to wonder what it will bring to my dusty shores, to haul snarling into my den and latch onto as if it were to be my lifeline. Such is the life of the enlightened, of those set to watch the fates of it all - I turn my watery gaze skyward, to take in much beyond understanding, and it speaks its haunting prophecies deep into my weary ear. Eldritch, like those I read of in my youth - something to settle impulse within my bones and cause me to act for forces larger than I.

I feel as if I am connected on a worldwide network - I hear you, and you hear me, and we all hear each other in ways we can't quite grasp with the mortal minds we've taken for our own. Colony of fungi to spread through the dirt, as poison the mimic species wish to copy - ironic, isn't it? Unified in our flesh, a new crop rises.

There's voices here, voices several claim to hear but only few are granted the ability to truly understand. Voices to draw me out to sea, adrift in a lifeboat by the pull of a specific crimson star.

...My dears, I am so sorry. You must all be very confused. I do have a bad habit of running my mouth, don't I? Hah... let me cut to the chase.

march already, huh? thank god it's over. valentine's day is sooo obnoxious- i can't be more enthralled it's finally over 'n giving way to an equally more pointless month. watching you stupid crisco-caked apes secede to your gross, most rudimentary instincts and try to disguise it with corporate chocolate lumps and sticky love emails was annoying no matter how many i tried to forge. ¬_¬ i'd suggest taking your thumbs out of your asses, focusing on what's important, and stop getting hung up just because you're so undesirable to the rest of your greasy primate contemporaries that no one thought to buy you a stupid goddamn bouquet of roses, sheesh. get over yourselves, stop wasting the inconsequential little fart in spacetime you have at your disposal on trivialities like "love" and spend your time valuably...by building more computers, or something. Reputable sources have informed us that there has been a great deal of stagnation in the Mignon (Forgive us we are still not sure how to spell it) population of late and that the people are getting restless
We cannot stand for this (Of course) but it is not within our means to create any significant change (Unless any of you would like a relaxing all-expenses-paid beach vacation in which case we are happy to provide)
What we know about this situation is:

❧ ████████ will not cause any immediate* harm to anyone who may find themselves involved
❧ ████████ is not to be feared but embraced
