Hello, everyone.
I… apologize, for my somber tone, but this is the last interview I have to share. You’ll notice I haven’t made any huge breakthrough, I’m sure, and I figure you all deserve at least my attempt to admit it up front, now:
I’ve got nothing.
None of the leads told me much of anything. Any further groundwork I’ve done this month hasn’t resulted in much either. I’m… really sorry to have let you all down.
I was hopeful that by the time I ran through all my recorded footage there would’ve been something, but it’s mostly been more of the same. While I’m sure watching me blunder through interviews is entertaining for some of you, I don’t want to keep wasting people’s time. I’m still trying, but… I can’t keep writing up news reports about nothing.
The recording’s ready, so I’ll share it, but that may be the last hurrah for my attempts at journalism. I won’t vanish prematurely, though- there’s still one last Sunday to come this month, so… at the very least, I’ll make one more appearance to bid you all a proper goodbye.
This one… honestly, I was just glad to make it home in one piece after all that. Maybe take it as a life lesson not to follow directions from a talking dog.

That was… is scary too overused? Hair-raising? Life-flashing-before-my-eyes…ing? I dunno. All I know is I thought that surely Dandelion’s humble little search was about to turn into found footage. A reporter gone missing on the hunt for the truth… it’d make a good movie at least.

WEEK 4 PROMPT
Things kinda feel a little bleak, don’t they? Dandy’s all but given up, it’s a shame… here’s hoping she can get some good rest after all of this, at least.

There’s… not really that much to do, anymore. Dandelion’s out of leads- and if Hacksaw had any, I doubt she would’ve wanted to follow them in the first place. Just a big ol’ ‘DO NOT ENTER’ sign over her story, before it could even get started in the first place.
Has your Mignyan ever been at this point with something? Something’s just stopped them in their tracks? Maybe it’s a literal dead end, or maybe they lost leads like Dandy here did… or hey, maybe they’re trying to subvert that dead end and investigate themselves? There can’t just be nothing out there, right?

It’s been a long week, hasn’t it? Truthfully, this interview didn’t take me nearly as long to prepare, but… I promise I wasn’t slacking! I’ve kept up with the work you’ve all been doing. I’m not really used to having such an active audience. Your dedication has been a big motivation boost, honestly.

Well- that was… unhelpful. I guess I can’t expect too much from someone like this particular interviewee, though. What can ya do! Hopefully that lead he gave her is to somewhere a bit more productive, though…
You may need to start digging a little deeper this week - some of the traits popping up may be a bit more… scarce, if you will. And if you missed out on any of the earlier staple traits, keep your eye out for something that could help you catch up a little!
Additionally - something truly remarkable skirts between the shadows. Really keep your eyes peeled, and be prepared to persist - you will need your wits about you, if you choose to accept this task. A grand prize awaits, if you have patience.
WEEK 3 PROMPT
More and more strange encounters just keep cropping up here… here's hoping Rusty sent Dandelion in a good direction there. Those woods don’t exactly seem… trustworthy. At least she has a flashlight now?

That alleyway was seriously dilapidated. And so was the metal pipe, and so is Dandelion’s patience… and sanity. Who thinks to interview a dog anyways?

Or maybe they’ve seen something decay, like… the half empty iced coffee on their nightstand that they need to throw away, ew. And for those of you with rotting meat, this is for you - you’re your own prompt entry!

Hello again!
This week has been a little crazy, hasn’t it? I never expected so many of you would tune in for what I have to say. It’s really exciting! You’ve all even been willing to help me!!
Ahem. Not that that’s totally unheard of, or anything. Anyway.
The outpour of interest, theories, and even independent research I’ve seen really warms my heart. Makes all the weird people I’ve been interviewing a little less… retroactively horrifying to think about!
On that note, I’m here to share footage from the next interview. This one was certainly easier to talk to, once I… actually found them. It almost made up for the new flavor of weirdness.

Well- I don’t know about you guys, but I was sure Dandelion was about to end up in some kind of Blair Witch found footage situation. Or… House of Leaves, with how winding and strange the resort was. The Grand Carnelian sure seems to be full of surprises…

Once again, something new, something strange. An unfamiliar figure questioning familiar faces, clues to follow, and whispers of a mysterious piece of Mignyan evolution popping up within the crab population. Will you offer your hand for the journalism cause? The press needs your help, after all.

And finally, a slight update in regards to the prompt point shop!
Back when we introduced the Suspicious Meatball slot item, we were concerned about market oversaturation and therefore did some funny stuff with the pricing in regards to placing a discounted first time buyer price - this was in order to keep an initial price a bit lower than we felt it needed in order to be more accessible for FTOs. Now, though, the market has changed, and we think it’s in dire need of an update!
Starting from today, Suspicious Meatball slots will only be 5 prompt points across the board! No higher pricing if you’ve already bought one previously, and no need to grind harder than a Rare upgrade if you’re looking to get one. Yippee!!

Hello, everyone!
My name is Dandelion, and you probably don't know me. Who I am isn't that important- what's important is what I'm here to do.
You see, I've been hearing whispers as of late. Whispers of a brand-new trait! And while I may not know exactly what it looks like, I'm determined to find out. How, you may ask? Well, some good ol' fashioned reconnaissance! I've been asking around and talking to other invaders with the sole purpose of figuring out what's what. I'm not exactly affiliated with any big publication, though, sooo...
To serve as a proper archive, and hopefully boost awareness, I'll be uploading recordings of each interview I've conducted once a week. I figure maybe one of you will make sense of these answers better than I could? Or, well... maybe it's just fun to share my progress. Regardless!
This first one was with a particularly strange character. Very flashy, very... excitable. Hopefully watching the footage won't give you a headache.

…Well! That was a very… interesting introduction. While Dandelion herself seems pretty normal, that fellow at the carnival certainly was not- and what’s all this about a new trait anyways?
If you’d like to dig into the mystery yourself, here’s how you can help:
- Each of you have been granted a chance to bring a new Mignyan into the world, no slot needed. Outside of the anniversary event, this functions as a normal Common turn-in and can be treated as such if you do not wish to participate in the bulk of the anniversary event.
- Each week, our dear Dandelion will deliver us a new recorded interview, (hopefully) with further clues towards the undiscovered trait she’s seeking. A new hint from the mods towards what trait upgrades are available to find in comments scattered around Mignyan related socials on both Deviantart and Toyhouse will also be provided. You will essentially be scavenging for traits to add to your turnin!
- Traits will only be available for the week they’ve been released. The date they become defunct will be listed on the comment containing the trait.
- Rarity will increase over time, and as such they will be hidden in deeper locations.
- These will mostly be specific trait upgrades, such as vestigials or wings, rather than overall upgrades. There may be overall upgrades hidden around, but you’ll have to search pretty hard to find them…
- In order to claim an upgrade, reply to it! If found on Toyhouse, you will need to include your Deviantart username to claim properly. Toyhouse comments will contain a reminder of this
- Each trait can be claimed indefinitely by as many people as possible before the defunct date listed on the comment
- Once approved, event trait additions will not be marked as upgrades on the masterlist like typical upgrades do, and they will be able to be swapped out with redesigns as per usual traits.
- You will be able to apply pre-existing trait upgrades to these designs. These will be treated as they normally are on trait lists.
- When turn-in time comes, you’ll have two options of “payment” for getting your Mignyan approved:
- Typical $15 common slot price, will not raise with upgrades. All proceeds will be donated to a charity of our choice announced later on in the month :] more details will be available on this once the turnin period starts!
- Completion of all four art prompts given alongside each interview drop will grant a free turnin approval.
- Turnin period will be from October 29th-31st. Any MYOs not sent in during this time period will be treated as normal and will require a slot. Event trait upgrades will expire at the end of the event, and cannot be used on outside MYOs
- Note: PLEASE be sure to send in WIP checks during the designing period! Designs that need to be edited during the approval period will have to be finished before the end of the period, otherwise you will miss your chance to turn it in

"HELLO AGAIN EVERYMIG and welcome to this month’s prompt!! We hope your Mignyans all had a nice and relaxing time getting to kick back and observe the world around - and above - them last month =w=
As the weather slowly cools off, so too do peoples fashion choices shift to accommodate. Personally I’m pretty excited for cool weather because of this - I’m very function over fashion during the summer and end up just dressing like a 12 year old boy x_x but with that in mind, maybe some changes are in order! Let’s get into it, shall we?
FREAKY FASHION FRIDAY It’s pretty easy to fall into wearing the same style of clothing over and over. Whether your closet (or budget) is a bit narrow, or you just know what you like, or you go for function over fashion, stuff can get a little same-y sometimes when it comes to outerwear. And we want to help your Mignyans branch out! This month, we’d like to see your Mignyan wearing something outside of their usual clothing style - it could be something as simple as wearing pants instead of a dress or changing up accessories, to changing up the colors they normally wear, all the way to completely flipping their aesthetic on its head and dressing them up in something completely different from their norm. There’s a huge array of styles out there - and who knows, maybe your Mignyans could find something new they like to wear? |

"Hiya meat enjoyers! This summer has sure been… warm. As someone who personally can’t wait until fall rolls around, I’m usually seeking out activities that run a little cooler in these later summer months as my tolerance for being out in the heat wears thin. It’s from those that I pull inspiration for this month’s prompt! Let’s get into it, shall we?

PART 1: SEA When thinking of how to cool down, taking to the seaside often comes to mind! For this part of the prompt, we’d like to see your Mignyan enjoying what the ocean has to offer. This can mean all sorts of things, from an air-conditioned trip to the aquarium to admire fish, to clambering around the beach tidepooling. Maybe they’d like to set out on a boat themselves to go fishing? Or their comfort zone might be more at simply going out for sushi… PART 2: STARS |
Whatever you do with your day, you can guarantee a summer evening will be nice. For this part of the prompt, we’d like to see your Mignyan taking a peek at the stars! Whether stargazing solo or with someone they love, there’s a lot to appreciate in the night sky. Do they want a telescope to get up close and personal, or are they content to just get comfy on the grass? Some even go on trips for a chance at catching astronomical events. I heard the aurora borealis was visible recently…

This event will be taking place of this months Draw this Mig (Discord event) and centers around drawing everyone's Mignyan! Your entry can be used as a raffle ticket towards these crabs which will transform into full fledged designs by the end of the month!
This event started a little later in order to let the AF website stabilize, If you already created a piece before this announcement you are free to submit that NOW if it meets the requirements.
RULES:
- You DO NOT have to participate in the actual official website Artfight event in order to participate in Crabfight!
- If you are participating in the official Artfight event you DO NOT have to enter for design correlating to your team (Example: if you are team Werewolf, you can enter for the Vampire crab!)
- You MUST submit to the google form in order to have your raffle entry count! Please ensure you've submitted to the #attack channel first or uploaded to art fight.
- All entries must be undisguised. Crabs cannot be the only existing featured character.
- The Mignyan must be an officially approved Mignyan. if they do not have a masterlist entry yet, please state so in your submission.
- If you are submitting to Artfight, please remember to filter pieces featuring undisguised Mignyans for body horror!
- You may submit a max of 6 entries which can go towards either design.
