Terms of Service

By purchasing or owning a RevelriE or design of any kind by me, it is assumed that you have read and agreed to these Terms of Service.

• When purchasing a pre-designed RevelriE you obtain partial rights to the design. The original artist has the right to use the art in accordance with their TOS.
• You may not make your own RevelriE without my consent. 
  • I won’t police inspiration/ similar concepts and designs unless they outright heavily traced and plagiarized official artworks & designs.

Ownership Rules

General Usage Rules

You may:

• Use the design commercially through new artwork (e.g. VTubing, artbooks, games, prints, merch, etc) with a commercial fee.
  • You must inform me first and credit properly for the design. Please see Commercial Usage Rules below.
• Use the design for personal use. This includes one-time merch for personal use.

You can NOT:

• Claim the species design as yours.
• Commercialize any RevelriE without permission.
• Resell/trade/gift RevelriE to people in this blacklist. 
  • You may trade/buy my designs from them if the design wasn't stolen.
• Use RevelriE for any AI-training or AI-related purposes.

Character Rules

Design and Ownership Rules

• Only upload characters that you have full rights to. 
  • Co-owning characters is not allowed on the Masterlist, but if you wish to work it out amongst yourselves the CS won't get involved as long as only 1 person's name is on the final ML.
    
    
• We don't allow RevelriE characters of copyrighted/trademarked characters from media. This includes characters based on real life people  (excluding yourself) and characters based on other people’s personas,  anime, videogame, movie characters, and more.
  • Fan characters and existing media AUs are allowed as long as their designs as visually distinct from the original or cannot be clearly linked to the original; credit must also be given on the ML so when submitting a Fan-MYO, send a note to the mods to include the credit.
    
    
• Characters made with AI art or any site that combines pre-made, uncredited art (such as Artbreeder) are not allowed and will be voided.

• Unofficial RevelriE may not be uploaded to TH with the claim that they are "RevelriE". If you have an existing unofficial RevelriE and a valid MYO, you can get a masterlist entry for them by following this bulletin: Submitting an MYO
  

Trade, Editing, and Voiding Rules:

The owner of the RevelriE is the one who's name is on the masterlist.

When transferring ownership, inform starriewing with proof of transfer and I will update the masterlist. You may also update it here: Transfer Hub. Otherwise, the transfer is not valid.

• You may resell, trade, or gift the character / MYO slot as per the directions on the ML.
• AU and alternate designs must be traded with the RevelriE. If the RevelriE is an AU, it must be traded with the original character.
• Vouchers are allowed within reason; I won’t be stepping in to handle conflict. Because of its grey nature, I discourage it but I won’t disallow it.

Personalization and Editing:

• All major design edits (trait-wise, palette change) should be verified by me to update the masterlist. I recommend sending a sketch first in case changes need to be made!
• You may make minor edits to adopts and provide other outfits, hairstyles, and non-permanent changes as long as the original is not unrecognizable.
• You MAY NOT edit my art directly without my permission, but if you DM me what edits you’d like to make, I will likely edit it for you as long as it’s not too complex.

Voiding a RevelriE:

• You may only completely void MYO and Guest Designed RevelriE*.
  • For Guest-Designed RevelriE, please consult the original designer and if the voiding is allowed by them, the original design's files must stay with the design (they can be hidden as long as they're present for tracking purposes).
  • For Starriewing-made RevelriE, please consult starriewing as it is on a case-by-case basis!
• To void a RevelriE, please inform starriewing with a message that includes the revised non-RevelriE design and the Masterlist number.
  • You must remove any direct connection to RevelriE lore from their story. If you choose to keep the design the same, please credit back to the species with a link. (Ex: Voided design, originally part of RevelriE CS.)
• Voiding a RevelriE is permanent, you cannot re-enter the character back into the species without a new MYO.

Commercial Usage Rules

Terms of Use

• Commercial use may entail use as merchandise, v-tuber model, promotional artwork for products like books and games, etc.
  • EXCEPTION: student work (like student-made animations, video games, etc) UNLESS they are being published commercially.  Please discuss it with me if you’re unsure. 
• Distribution-related commercial use is granted PER USER. If a design is traded that previously had distribution commercial use, the commercial use does not automatically transfer over. The new owner must contact me again for commercial use.
• Any design created by starriewing may still be used by starriewing for personal promotion (but not for retail/distribution commercial purposes like merchandise).
• In ALL instances, credit must be provided back to the species, and if not designed by you, the designer. 
• You are not allowed to heavily use the complete CS lore for any commercial use. Please message me (starriewing) for any questions regarding this!

Commercial Usage Pricing Guide

• Designed by me (starriewing) : Please send a DM with a commercial usage request! 
• CS design NOT designed by me: flat $50 fee if you’re making less than $400, add additional $50 if you make over $400 
  • Example: small-batch sticker sale of your RevelriE, both art and design by you.

• MYO design: 
  • FREE with permission from the artist and starriewing 
  • You must credit the species in a visible place.

• Guest artist designs are subjected to commercializtion fees by the guest artist. 
• Using the CS lore is not allowed, the only commercial fee you pay for MYOs is to the character's designer.

General Purchase Rules

Please read and re-read everything above.

1. Any violation of the terms will be put on the blacklist.
2. Your DeviantArt or Toyhouse account should at least be 6 months old if purchasing adopts. If you can prove that you have an established 1 y/o account (like twitter, instagram, etc), that will also be accepted.
3. Only participate in any transaction if you are able to pay of your own ability. Chargebacks against us due to irresponsible buying, will automatically result in a permanent blacklist.
4. If we find that you are blacklisted within proper reason from other creators, proven to do bad business practices, or cautioned against with proof; we may decline to transact with you in any way.
5. If chargebacks or refunds were done against myself (Starriewing) or any guest designers, the designer has the right to revoke the ownership of the design and put the design back on sale.

DISCLAIMER: Any similarities to other designs, characters, or stories, if not mildly inspired from, are purely coincidental.

I do not own the idea of bones, raptors, or kemonomimi humans as traits; just the idea and lore packaged together as a whole.
Once again, I don't mind inspiration being taken as long as it's within reason and not copying official art, designs, or lore.
