Seasonal/Event-Limited Traits

Sometime, in between when you floated back from the void into the realm we call reality, you brought something with you. Perhaps it's something engraved into everyone's soul that cannot be removed even with magic. For even if your memories are erased, your body will still remember.

TRAIT INFO: For a single RevelriE that travered through dimensions, a feather on one/both of their wings shimmer like a mirror into an alternate world. If you tilt it at just the right angle, maybe you can see through the fabric of reality to grasp a moment that once existed in time.

Event-Limited [Special] Trait.

Shard of Fear or Desirerev_trait_feardesiremalaiseeffervescence Fear Memento: a lore item that powers up your revelrie. Strengthen the power of an existing affinity. "Whatever they used to fear, whatever they saw, use that fear to overcome their weaknesses. "

Desire Memento: a lore item that powers up your revelrie. New variant abilities of an affinity are unlocked. "When confronted with the object of their desire, an ability to control yourself is essential. Calm your mind, hone your spirit, and prepare your blade."

TRAIT INFO: Both can optionally give the character a visible tattoo-like mark OR embedded crystalline shard (small) on their body that glows when affinities are being used.
Event-Limited [Special] Trait.

Obtainment:

uIe86An.png ISOMERASE: a volatile substance that causes RevelriE's genetic material to rearrange itself and mutate at will... It seems those with this trait often have a horrible secondary form hidden underneath their normal exterior.

TRAIT INFO: body horror, with large parts of the body being replaced by something...else.

TRAIT INFO: Large plant/fungal growth on body, replacing parts and taking over limbic functions.

All jokes aside, no subjects showed any response to this material except the loss of feathers and bodily hair... It seems harmless.

TRAIT INFO: large swatches of bandages on the RevelriE, bandages replacing limbs that are no longer there. Bandages are a part of the body.

Created  from a god's power rejecting the creation of the RevelriE. Fragments of  affinity float around them and body horror elements present themselves  as their power clashes with their existence. Their wings are often  smaller and look broken or torn.

"By the laws of the world... you should not exist."

Required Design Elements
  • Fragmented bone fragments that float around the user.
  • Unless Special-traited, cannot have rare or large-size wings.
  • Permanent crystalization replacing limbs/parts of body


Optional Traits
  • Minor body horror elements (very common, lore-wise)*
  • Color sclera
  • Eyes on various body parts
  • Torn/broken wings

Guro cannot be applied to Unstable RevelriE (please see special trait: ISOMERASE for that!)
Unstable is not a trait. It's a subtype applicable to any rarity. You may not have body horror on a non-unstable RevelriE with the exception of special traits.

  • Affinity Mark is a 4-pointed star
  • Wingspan between 50-200% of body size (normal size), fully featherd
  • Tail: scaly tail with fluff/feathers at the end
  • Bone Tail is a spine with an aquatic animal bone tip, must have at least 3 vertebrate/connectors before the tip. The tip shape can only be modeled after vertebrates or crustaceans. The material must be natural bone or natural minerals/metals. No gemstone/super sparkly material.
  • Kemonomimi ears or tuft are not bigger than 200% head size
NOTE: fully beak-ed feral form (like in the example above) is no longer allowed (was a beta trait). Please see FAQ for more information.




✦ Rare Traits

Usually fall into 2 categories:

  • Rarity tied to lore
    • Null Affinity (all white bones + pale revelrie color), 
    • Gemstone Affinity (super sparkly bone shards + affinity + eyes are sparkly)
    • More TBD...
  • traits that alter the species traits without completely changing them
    • ex: non-feather wings, unnatural tail tips, six-pointed star
    • ex: puffball tail tip = altered tail tip
    • ex: no affinity bone fragment/crystals on head
    • bone tail is not aquatic (but still bone/mineral!)
  • This does not cover everything, you're free to come up with your own rare trait!

Usually caused by mutations or a really rare combination of genes. Only 0.5% of original RevelriE had these, so current-day Special RevelriE are direct descendants of those originals.

Classified into 3 groups:

  • non-animal material as a main part of their design (if it's super minor < 5% of design, then it falls under rare trait)
    • Ex: metal, glass, plastic, plants
    • This does not include prosthetics.
    • Minor vs major example: flame tip on 2 wing feathers = rare, full flame wings = special.
  • Traits that would normally kill them in the wild 
    • no feather wings, just an empty cask of shards (in this case, the affinity shards must form a wing shape)
  • traits that completely change/remove the fundamental look
    • replacing aquatic bone tail tip w/ not bone, flower affinity mark, replace scaled tail with full feather bird tail (flare feather tail)
    • unnatural normal tail types (all feather, scaleless, twin tail, furry tail, etc)

✦ Color Guide

Common
- normal skin color
- any blood color that isn't sparkly
- any naturally occurring mineral color for non-human areas (feathers, affinity, bones, etc) with the exception of white affinity + white feathers.

Rare
- unnatural skin color
- Gemstone affinity : very sparkly wings/feathers, eyes, and affinity bones.
- Null Affinity : white affinity + white feathers. 99% of the RevelriE is white (doesn't include skin color).
- blood can be any type/color

Special
alternating colors / fluctuating colors (think chameleon)
- ???
