Lore-Based Questions

Can you eat RevelriE? And if so, what do they taste like?

Only those with the bravest of palates dare try to hunt down a RevelriE and fight the ultimate battle of consuming such a mystical creature. If you're somehow successful in not only finding an egg for yourself but also surviving the onslaught of RevelriE that will swarm you with a vengeance after you take the egg, you may find yourself stuck with the next big problem of the culinary world: how to crack the egg. While it's small and intricately decorated, not many can say they've found a way to crack it. But once you're able to, you'll find the glowing delicacy is soft and refreshing, every bite you take overflowing with various flavors: roasted ocean fish, fresh mangos, juicy unagi, and the tangy flavor of citrus. You'll find yourself feeling more revitalized and powerful. You might even think you've grown 10 years younger in a few minutes. As you go to take your second bite, you can't help but notice that your skin is much clearer than before, and perhaps you look a  little too young for your age? It's amazing, you think you've really regressed to your best years. Still, worrying thoughts plague your mind.  Suddenly, everything looks much bigger. You look down, only to find out in horror that your body is much, much younger. As you stumble to your steps, regressing at an astounding rate, you're faced with an innocent-looking rock in your living room. It's so shiny. The last thing you see before you fade out of existence is a shadow, shaking its head disapprovingly in your living room.

Or so the story goes. Not many people are inclined to try it anymore after hearing that though.

What do RevelriE eat?

These guys are omnivores and eat a variety of foods! Since they evolved from oceanic creatures, they're naturally drawn towards seafood of all kinds,  fish, crustaceans, and other small ocean critters.
Their godly/avian roots also enable them to drink nectar for energy and consume a diverse range of fruits, but modern society has pretty much made all foods accessible.
These days, the individual tastes of RevelrIE are as colorful as their appearances, and finding food isn't really an issue so they can afford to be picky! Of course, I've yet to find one that dislikes bread (for some reason, they just...really like it), but that's a conversation for another day.

Alternatively, how would they eat baguettes?

rev_baguette_by_starriewing_dgxuywd-fullThey eat them whole.Ok, in all seriousness, it'd be up to the RevelriE's personal preference! Unfortunately, as misleading as that image on the left is, they don't have cheek pouches and wouldn't be able to stuff an entire baguette into their mouth like that. Their skulls in feral form are pretty solid, much like archaeopteryx's skull!

If they’re hurt in feral form, does that wound transfer to their humanoid form? And how uncommon are scars?

Yes it does! Their feral form tends to be a bit more resilient than their humanoid forms so it's more likely that you'll encounter injured RevelriE in feral form, but if their injuries are severe they'll be forced to revert to egg form to regain health! Don't eat the egg guys...

They're not too uncommon! Some RevelriE fight a lot, so they inevitably get scars. In terms of that aspect, they're not too different from other living things and when large wounds heal up, they get one (unless their affinity power is somehow related to healing or grants them unscar-able skin haha xD

What sounds do RevelriE make in feral form?

They can be pretty diverse! Any bird-like sounds are valid, but growls, clicks, and screeches are also not uncommon. They have a vocal organ in their esophagus that can control airflow and allows them to craft a detailed range of sounds like modern songbirds.
