Profile

Bio

Rules are a hoax and morality is subjective; no one tells Aiden how to live. Unfortunately, he needs money to live, and to get that money, he needs a job, hence why he’s in the Interstellar Forces. He begrudgingly abides by enough rules not to get himself kicked out, but other than that, he’s a loose cannon. Working in his favor is his physical ability. Rumored to be among the fittest the IF has to offer, he especially excels at using jetpacks. There’s more rumors about him, but none are nearly as kind.

Voice Claim (or lackthereof)

It's very specific so I don't really have a voice claim for him. It's deep and lazy sounding. Junichi Suwabe is close to what I imagined for him.

Personality

Like any good problem, Aiden is difficult and hard to understand. Sometimes he’s a grumpy loner; other times, he can immerse himself in a group with the ease of a long-lost friend. In his better moods, he has a cocky, devil-may-care attitude that some find charming and others despise. Especially his superiors. What they’ve come to find out is that Aiden is very aware and very in tune with the social structure of the IF, and he will use that to their detriment. He’s street smart with incredible luck. His actions are rarely meant to be secretive, but he’s content in letting others think they are. When it comes to opinions, however, he’s very vocal. Aiden is very against authority and any system of oppression, even ones that benefit him. Dismantling them in any way he can is his goal, even if his methods don’t always make sense to others. He does what he feels is right, and assumes others do the same; if someone isn’t on board with him, they’re not worth his time unless they really get on his nerves. What he can’t stand most is a hypocrite. Convincing him of hypocrisy is the quickest way to get him to reconsider something, but only with good enough reasoning. Aiden’s not one to get into a physical fight unless he’s threatened, someone else is threatened, or someone asks for it. That being said, he’s had his fair share of fights.

Backstory

Aiden, an orphan, grew up in a group home. The caretakers, while not outright cruel, were very strict and detached. Waiting behind the walls of the so-called home for someone to adopt a "problem child" like him wasn't his cup of tea, so during his early teens, he left his life of routine and took to the streets. It was harder than his naive young self was expecting, but Aiden's not the type to back down from a challenge. He took the punches life threw at him and drifted his way across California until he ended up in LA. During a particularly rough patch, he was running from someone (probably the police) and bumped into an Interstellar Forces recruitment officer, who upon noticing Aiden's physical ability, offered to recruit him right away. To Aiden, the IF was pretty much free housing, food, money. and travel, so he accepted.

Relationships

Leon - "Pfff, what a dork!" Aiden is amused by Leon, even though he finds his constant chipper-ness slightly disturbing/annoying. He's really easy to mess with, and Aiden gets a kick out of it. Leon seems to have a good sense of humor about it. They have a little roommate rivalry.

Mia - "Eh, I don't got a problem with her." Aiden and Mia don't really interact much; it's quite awkward when they do. They don't have much to do with each other, but they respect each other's space. Aiden does notice that she's slightly annoyed with Leon, but not willing to tell him.

Roxie - "Jun's weirdo friend. She's cool, I guess." Aiden doesn't really know what to make of Roxie and her odd shenanigans. He just kinda lets her do her thing while being weirded out by it. She's nice enough though, not too obnoxious in Aiden's opinion, and she's also a friend of Jun's, so Aiden kinda sees her as an acquaintence, at the very least.

Jun - "Jun's my bro!" Jun is probably Aiden's best friend. They met a year after Aiden joined the IF, and the higher-ups were having a hard time controlling him, so they made Jun Kim room with him to act as a make-shift parole officer. They didn't get along at first, and they still don't see eye-to-eye on certain things, but they became good friends. Jun is probably one of the few people Aiden genuinely trusts. Aiden didn't really have any problem when he found out about Jun, as he thought it was kinda odd that they only let men into the IF anyway.

Angelo - "The only person who can make Rookie look remotely tough." Aiden finds it amazing how someone so incredibly fragile made it into the IF. Aiden didn't need a partner, much less one that'll jump out of his own skin at any given moment, but he figures he could've gotten someone annoying instead, so Angelo isn't so bad. He appreciates that Angelo, unlike his brother, is quiet for the most part, but on the downside, he's so hard to hear over the microphone, and it's hard to get him to speak up without making him panic in the process.

Emil - "My #1 fan. Probably runs this ship more than his brother." Aiden welcomes anyone who will boost his ego. He finds Emil to be a funny kid, acting all cool with the rest of the crew members, but turning into a complete dork around Aiden. Aiden decided to take him under his wing; he's sure his up-tight brother probably doesn't approve of it, but he doesn't care.

Lorenzo - "What the heck does he do in his room all day? Doesn't he have a ship to run or something?" Aiden really doesn't approve of the way Lorenzo and Emil got their positions on the ship. It reeks of corrupt higher ups pulling the strings for their kids. Emil doesn't seem to be corrupt, but Lorenzo's much more mysterious, and most of what the rest of the crew knows about him comes from Emil. Because of this, Aiden has a hard time trusting the captain. He can also sense that Lorenzo is wary of him, too, probably because he heard about Aiden's reputation.
