Bio

Angelo isn’t meant to be here, and he’s felt that way for a long time. In this case, however, he’s literally not supposed to be onboard the Celestion-5, or in the IF in general, as he is a minor. He knows strength doesn’t come from staying in comfort zones, and desperate to get stronger, he strayed far outside of his. There were some less-than-legal resourceful measures he took to get to where he is, but above all else determination is what got the shy weakling through basic training and into the Interstellar Forces… right alongside his brother. Oopsie.

Personality

Angelo might as well be a ghost to the general public. In trying to make as little of a stir as possible, he shrinks himself physically, vocally, and any other way he can think of to the point where it’s sometimes hard to remember he exists. Ironically, he’s easily frightened. He’s also very sensitive, prone to crying, and can’t stand it. He deeply believes personality is a burden to those he loves, and wants to correct that as quickly as possible. This encourages him to improve himself and do anything asked and unasked of him. Sometimes this leads to rash decisions like, for example, sneaking into the military. Underneath the timid exterior is a powder keg of ill-expressed love. For as many things as he dislikes about himself, he can find even more to praise in others, but his shyness prevents him from telling them directly. He also has a sense of humor, but not many get to see it.

Backstory

Angelo was once an openly kind and compassionate kid, but he got made fun of to the point where crushing anxiety prevents him from interacting with anyone outside of his brother. After Leon left the planet, he felt like he lost his world. The weeks that ensued weren't pretty, and their parents' growing concern made him feel even worse. Sending one of their sons to space was already hard enough without the other one becoming nearly unresponsive. One day, he got so fed up with himself that he decided he'd enact a long-deliberated plan to join the military, specifically the Interstellar Forces. It would be the easiest to get into and hardest for his family to find him and bring him back home. Sure, he'd be running away, but he'd come back strong enough to ease their worries, and they'd have one less mouth to feed. It'd be a win-win situation! His plan was successful, much to his own surprise, and the good news is he even got to see his brother! The bad news is that he got to see his brother...

Relationships

Leon - "Big Brother is the greatest!" Angelo borderline worships the ground Leon walks on. He holds his brother dear to his heart, as he's one of the few people who didn't bully Angelo growing up and the one he feels most comfortable talking to. As a form of respect, he exclusively refers to Leon as Big Brother. He'd do almost anything for his brother's sake, whether it be doing chores for him, taking the fall for him, or protecting him from perceived danger. Usually Leon doesn't ask for these sorts of things, and sometimes he doesn't even notice, but Angelo will be darned if he passes up a chance to pay his brother back for being there for him.

Mia - "She's helpful. I wonder if she feels like she's appreciated..." Mia and Angelo don't really interact that much, but when they do, Angelo finds her to be helpful. He notices how serious she is about her work, and hopes to one day be as competent. 

Roxie - "She's so fun and nice, I hope...! No. There's no way we could ever be friends." Angelo admires Roxie's friendliness and kindness. She's really fun to be around, and her happiness is almost contagious. Angelo really wants to be Roxie's friend and be able to open up to her, but he can't bring himself to do it, especially if he ends up getting found out. He'd hate for her to feel like he lied to her...

Jun - "Jun always knows what to say..." Jun seems to be a really stable person, and doesn't appear to mind listening to the others' problems and helping them out a little. They seem really down-to-earth, too.  Angelo wishes he could be more like Jun one day.

Aiden -"He's scary, but he's not as mean as he could be." Aiden's size and general demeanor scares Angelo, but he notices that Aiden hasn't actually been mean to him, or even gotten angry at him. He has a soft spot for Aiden because of this.

Emil - "Emil's soooo cool!!" Leon thinks Emil is cool, so of course Angelo will! Angelo admires that Emil tries to make everyone on the ship feel included.

Lorenzo - "The Captain's scary...I hope he's not on to me!" Lorenzo scares Angelo. He feels like the captain doesn't trust him, or maybe he's on to his secret...!
