Current coworkers at Knight Company Captains. Despite not working in the same division, the two became inexplicably close over the years, and often spend time with each other even outside of work.

What exactly they seem to bond over...remains a mystery to most observers. To many, Grant appears as little more than a lapdog hoping to gain more pull within his division---a rumor and accusation he resents. He truly admires Odin and values her friendship. Besides… he’s perfectly capable getting by on his own merit. He just appreciates her company. Despite his hatred of this rumor, he does his best to mostly ignore it, as he’d rather not draw any more unnecessary attention to himself...

Benny

"I don’t know how you manage to catch the interest of any creature, much less ones with hundreds of eyes, even when you look like… this. You might almost be useful, if you weren’t such a leech."

Despite sharing a mutual friend as children, Benny and Grant were never close. Even as the friend group became interested in monsters, as well as careers with Knight Company Captains, little in terms of bonding came from these shared interests and desires. The friend between them would later choose to take the hunter’s exam, while Benny and Grant would seek to join the containment division.

Age, incidents, and personal feelings would only sour the relationship between the two as time went on. Although only Grant would move on to work in the containment division, he remains bitter and jealous of Benny’s knowledge of and exposure to monsters, and feels as if he is wasting his potential...not that he’d ever tell him that.

Hugo

"Such a shame about your parting with the company… I’ve been very impressed by some of the specimens your hunting efforts have contributed to containment research."

Former coworkers at Knight Company Captains. Despite not being the captain of his division, Grant was frequently allowed to perform the captain’s duties, so, although they did not work in the same department, Grant and Hugo kept semi-frequent contact whenever Hugo had something to report to the containment division.

Unlike Odin, Grant grant manages to remain mostly civil with Hugo (aside from a few snide remarks here and there). While not interested in him on a personal level, Grant does respect Hugo at a professional one.
