Caliber's Links
Caliber doesn't know her much of her online presence - she's not glued to her phone like most people, and Caliber's adventures in the ONLINE space are mostly because Jane wants to. So when she's approached to meet her at the docks...she certainly didn't expect to be doing so with the goal of faking her murder.
Caliber has to wonder just why she decided to trust her - she had no reason to. But she's happy in the end to have taken the gamble, and hopes that she's able to make it out of the game in one piece.
Caliber's cute, and doesn't get upset easily. She's the sort of person that Retto could actually put a level of trust into - and given Retto's general fascination with someone's potential, knew how to put her abilities to good use. While she sees the two of them on a give and take sort of 'friendship', they've vowed to ensure that Caliber gets the much needed funds for her invention should she make it out of the game alive.
Jane was the first person that Cal came in contact with, for better or worse. After telling her about the Labyrinths, the two make a promise to exchange information -- with Cal's goal to learn as much as possible about the world for her own personal interest.
Despite how much Jane tries to fool Cal, she can read through her lies easily -- ironically, she's poor at social cues otherwise. She also cannot understand why Jane has zero fears about her despite her origins.
After seeing Cal emerge from underground, she knew that she had to talk to her -- and understandably, threw Caliber in a loop. After a small exchange, Jane confidently decides that, true to her title, she needs to be able to give proper tours to the underground -- and Cal's going to help her, no matter the cost.
As a person, Jane finds Cal cool, and wants to gain power of her own. Eventually she does through a persona of her own (as well as a general friendship with some of the other slimes in the Labyrinths), and constantly contests her to improve her fighting prowess. However, she is still guarded about her -- not because she's a slime, but her trouble putting her full trust in others.
Caliber knows Olive best through his online avatar, and overall views him well. Given his young age (though, not that much younger than her), Caliber can't help but want to look after him, and has more or less decided that she'll do anything in order to see him (among others) freed from the strange game they've been placed in.
Olive was once killed in a VR game by Caliber, which he doesn't hold any ill will for, but was sure really awkward to be in an actual killing game together, huh? After learning about her death, Olive at first regrets not speaking more to her - but becomes hopeful when he slowly recognizes that she may not be human, and therefore may still actually be out there somewhere.
