Appearance Notes: Euphranor generally dresses in pretty casual clothing, and occasionally semi-formal clothing (like button ups). Not usually a lot of accessories, aside from gloves and scarves in winter, but often times he dresses in layers if the weather allows it. Sometimes Kadri will convince him to dress up more fancifully, which he enjoys more than he lets on even if it also feels a bit a weird (these outfits usually have a lot of accessories). 

2 Cent Summary: Euphranor is a teenager who ran away from home to live on the streets after having a curse placed on him that killed anyone he touched or stayed in close proximity to for extended time. He is an impulsive, paranoid, and hot-headed individual who has incredible thievery and dexterity skills despite not having the temperament of a thief at all. He is a compassionate person who wears his heart on his sleeve, and has a passion for music and singing.

Character Lore

History

Euphranor was cursed as a child to bring pain and death to those that are near him by the same sorceress who broke into his home and killed his father. Before that, he belonged to a happy, somewhat wealthy family. After his father's death and his cursing, he tried to stay inside and keep a distance from his mother to keep her safe. When it proved impossible to avoid regular contact with someone when you keep to a certain space, he ran away from home and lived on the streets. He became a well known local criminal, as he impulsively would help people as well as evading the police after committing theft or property damage despite his young age.

Personality

Euphranor has a very loud, honest, and forceful personality. He can be rudely blunt and temperamental, and frightens extremely easily (though he's especially terrified of spiders, snakes, and ghosts). In general, he wears his heart on his sleeve and is quite impulsive, but often comes across as grumpy and untrusting. He is fairly paranoid. However, he is a stubbornly virtuous and kindhearted person, who considers respect and helpfulness the default ways are supposed to be. He is easily moved by emotional appeals and will always try to help where he can, even if he makes a show of grumbling about it (mostly towards people he finds difficult or suspicious). 

Despite being so high strung, Euphranor does have a thoughtful and reflective side. He tries to catch social cues of anyone being uncomfortable and respect their boundaries, and he'll do his best to be emotionally supportive to anyone who isn't cruel to him. His curse has made him nervous around others, but he's naturally a rather tactile and affectionate person. There's a part of him that secretly wants to try new things and live a bit more adventurously, which is why, once he comes to truly trust someone, he's pretty easy to rope into things he finds frightening or unwise so long as the other person is also doing it with him (or watching closely in case things go wrong). He also tends to eventually adapt to things he used to find intimidating, and enjoys the feeling of accomplishment that eventually comes with that. 

His main hobbies are singing, watching movies and theater plays, listening to music, and hanging out with his friends (once he has them).

Relationships

• Ena Ellison: Euphranor and Ena are best friends. They often razz each other and enjoy doing dumb casual things together; it doesn't take much goading from one to get the other involved in something absurd. The two of them share a strong moral compass and a directness of action that makes it easy for them to understand each other. This also means that when they do have a disagreement, they hash it out immediately and heatedly and usually resolve it just as quickly.  (Though usually, they just argue over who is protecting who more; both are very aggressive about defending their friends) They trust each other a great deal, and do what they can to be supportive whenever one is struggling.
• Kadri Espenson: Euphranor and Kadri are best friends of a sort, though both would probably struggle to find a term they think perfectly sums up their relationship. The two are very loyal and protective of each other, and respect one another a great deal, often looking to each other for wisdom or advice. However, Kadri delights in trolling Euphranor even more than other people, and they are certainly inclined towards having petty, meaningless debates for no reason. They also tend show off for each other a bit, either traditionally or competitively in a sort of petty way. They're both careful in their trolling and arguments not to actually overstep any boundaries, though, and are just as often very emotionally supportive of each other. (Euphranor is attracted to Kadri alterously, aesthetically, and sensually, which he finds confusing at first since he normally only experiences your standard romantic+sexual attraction for people, while this is quite different; Kadri has no idea if he's attracted to Euphranor, or in what way/in what capacity if he is, and mostly isn't very concerned about it)
• Fiera Casales: Euphranor and Fiera are fairly close friends. They are quite different from each other, but come to respect those differences and enjoy spending time together. They are a bit more polite to each other than their other friends, but not out of emotional distance; it's just how they wound up communicating. They will still lightly tease each other occasionally, but are more likely to team up to tease Ena and Kadri.
• Cadoc Ellison: Euphranor and Cadoc don't hit it off great, since their personalities clash somewhat. Nevertheless, it doesn't take long before Cadoc's paternal instincts kick in and he starts making more effort to look after him, and Euphranor starts to feel closer to him as well. The two end up eventual having a sort of father-son kind of relationship.
• Taliesin: Euphranor and Taliesin did not hit it off great, because Euphranor was scared of and slightly hostile towards him since he was found in a coffin (which relates to his phobias) under suspicious circumstances. At that point, Euphranor was  also not subtly a bit jealous that Kadri was so much more openly nice to Taliesin than to him while Taliesin thought Euphranor was being treated with more familiarity and sort of envied that. Eventually though they do make a truce that then leads to proper friendship and understanding, and they begin to hang out more together as well. Euphranor tries to help Taliesin adapt to the City and introduce him to lots of modern  bands and plays.

Trivia

• Euphranor's favorite foods are seafood and nectarines.
• He hums to try and help calm his nerves; he'll also occasionally sing in conversation, though this habit takes longer to return in full; he had tried to suppress it while living on the streets.
• He's only an average cook (maybe a bit chaotic before he gets the hang of a recipe), but he's actually pretty good at making fancy beverages.
• His birthday is September 3.
