Rustblood issues are hardly on the forefront of anyone's minds in Alternia, but that's just the way life always is when you're at the bottom of the hemospectrum. Mallna learned this harsh and unkind lesson quickly when she was evicted from her home in favor of a higher caste tenant, and lost her lusus to black market thieves soon afterwards. She found herself wandering the streets aimlessly, hiding in the temporary relief of skyscraper shadows during the day just trying to survive. Thankfully, Mallna's premature meeting with Death was rescheduled when Calope found Mallna listlessly ambling one day and decided to give her a chance to thrive.

Once Mallna was able to stop worrying about eating, sleeping, and not dying every waking moment, she was able to process her losses and move on. She learned how to take care of herself and be safe on the city streets, and took a great number of combat notes from Calope (who was definitely way too good at fighting). After recuperating, Mallna unleashed herself back onto the city alleyways, refreshed with a new outlook on life and newly practiced in the sneaky ways of undercity living. She's having the time of her life, and no one can stop her even if they tried!

Abilities

CONCRETE JUNGLE PRODIGY: Mallna is entirely the product of her surroundings. She's a city girl, through and through. She knows her neighborhood alleyways like the back of her hand, and is equipped with countless tools (the huge hammer notwithstanding) to help her survive or escape dangerous situations. Mallna's been working on her street smarts recently, so even though she looks like easy pickings, it's rather hard to actually get an opportunity to actually go after her. Even if you do, you're going to have one heck of a time taking her down- she's definitely not as easy to beat as she may first appear to the untrained eye.

STOP! HAMMER TIME: The first thing everyone notices upon examining Mallna is her gigantic, off-color, comically oversized hammer. It's for good reason, too. She's very well practiced in how to use it- so why not show it off? In addition, the cool color tends to scare off many who like to underestimate her due to her small stature; the story of how she got it practically tells itself. This establishes her as a threat without even needing to do anything, which is an excellent strategy for winning battles without lifting a finger. If combat does occur, many surrender once they get a good hit to the face- you'd be surprised at how many people are surprised that being hit in the face with a giant hammer actually hurts.

Notes

• Mallna dueled for and rightfully won her hammer in a fight against an indigoblood. She took her prize and fled the scene immediately afterwards.
• Her favorite game to play with unsuspecting opponents is 'Whack-a-Mole'.
• Mallna's pupils are white and star-shaped; that's not just stylization, she literally, actually, genuinely has stars in her eyes.
• About 90% of her outfit may or may not be stolen and she will absolutely not tell you which parts are which.
• Mallna has an unfortunate habit of swearing like a sailor, in the fashion of many of her packmates.

Relationships

Calope Xantho [ Midblood Motherling ]

Without Calope, Mallna would have never learned the rules of the city alleys quickly enough to survive. Mallna owes her entire life to Calope, but she mostly sticks around because Calope's always got good food and good conversation with her. Calope doesn't seem to mind and is just glad she's safe.

Bailey Cikxey [ Paperboy Playmate ]

Bailey is Mallna's favoritest friend in the entire world. The two will tear up the town all day, doing anything that matches their fancy. Running through streets, stealing snacks, and people-watching are favorites. Mallna's never bored when Bailey's around, and he's really cute, too!
