About
Symphony is a co-ed idol group, the group origins are in Japanese but they sing in Korean, English and Chinese as well. The group consists of Grey, Kelly, Madoka, Yuuko, Teruko, Percival and Hijiri. In the world of spaces of the hearts, they are one of the most influential and popular idols, having won the last Idol Cup and revitalising pop music into something purer and uplifting
The last idol cup was in October 2016, Symphony's winning performance occured in 19 October the same date which the 7 member band performed their first single Symphony in 2017.
Members
Each member has their own charms, Hijiri, the youngest is not only good at rapping but also great at singing, dancing, choreographing and producing music, he is a loud advocator for the minority, being LGBT and from a poor family too.
Percival or Percy is a gentle, shy and introverted giant, also the oldest, he used to be part of the behind the scenes of a company but left due to pressure. He now dances and sings with his friend, Kelly and his new younger brother Hijiri. He is great at being stable and having a cool aura.
Teruko, a lead singer, a former member of a disbanded group, finds back his love for singing in Symphony, he was one of the idols that had lost faith in idol hood but had always loved his fans and continued singing for them. Can be a nerd sometimes.
Yuuko, a singer, was a member of the idol club that Symphony was a part of, only she was a year younger than all of them, therefore, cannot participate due to exams but after graduating, she was able to join them. She is well known for her bright personality and fashion experimenter, you can never catch her wearing the same thing more than twice.
Madoka, the lead singer and face of the group, was supposed to be against Symphony during the idol cup but last-minute changes led her to be in Symphony instead. Well known for her unique and soft voice, she is the prankster underneath that angelic look
Kelly, the main dancer and rapper, the original member of Symphony, used to be a martial artist and does teach martial art classes but she is more known for her versatile dancing and voice. While she raps for most of their songs, she can also sing and has many successful mixtapes.
Grey, visuals and main singer, they were first popular online as the EVtuber that has the longest range. Grey is also well known for being the most well rounded and talented in many random things. Not only are their voice versatile, but their personality is also versatile. They are also the leader of Symphony, the founder and the person to revive idols to be precise.
Influence
Grey, the gender neutral idol, has participated in a lot of introducing idols to the masses, they have worked with Conary and many foundations that support LGBTQ, non binary people and collab with a lot of small artists. Their lyrics resonate with both genders, they used to do covers with a mask of both boy and girl groups. Kelly has also revolutionized female idols for being successful based on her skills instead of her looks, though in Symphony, there is a common trend between fans to say that they are a visual group with no visual holes, with Kelly and Percival popular in the west.
While there are positions in Symphony, a lot of their songs have an equal distribution between lead, main and sub. Percival has gained popularity singing in '7' and Kelly had shown a huge vocal range in many songs.

Symphony has 3 sub units, Trinary which consists of the main trio, Grey, Madoka and Kelly, they are somewhat as popular as Symphony even after their prime, they are very popular due to their versatility and musicality. Mythos which consists of Teruko, Percy and Hijiri, they are mainly a rap and hip-hop group, they only appeared once before they were back with Symphony. Ace of Spades a dance unit between Kelly, Hijiri and Percival, sometimes joined with Grey, they have their own dance studio and EV channel. SymV, consisting of Madoka, Teruko and Grey, they also appeared once in an acapella medley of Symphony songs. Sympop, consisting of Grey, Kelly and Hijiri when Symphony went into hiatus and they made a sub-unit album with a solo song each and a few group songs, the album is called 'Ambrosia'

History
Symphony Universe
The Symphony Universe is the fictional universe in Symphony's Music Videos, it has been woven within almost every single music video of their albums through the years. The Universe started with the Symphony album where the Symphony members came from different places to join together to find the Symphony, the all powerful truth of the universe. But instead of bringing them together, it brings out their greed and envy, only Madoka and Yuuko are the ones who tries to bring them together.
In Castle of Tunes, they finally fight it out using music and magic but turns out they have been conspiring against each other, with Madoka trying to resolve the fight using words, while Yuuko resolves it by being stronger than any of them. While they fought and scheme against each other, the group sings of their loss of what they once were and the castle being their grave or cage that is anxiety or despair inducing and they long to wish for answers in their forsaken lives. In the end, Madoka was led victorious but at the cost of other people.
There are pairs, Grey and Kelly, both powerful, yet one is underhanded, the other is too naive and single minded. In Passion Flower, it's suggested that Kelly has met Grey before and doesn't like how they are lazy all the time as Grey is her classmate and described as the Grey looking student at the corner of the classroom. Percy and Hijiri, both long time friends, but due to greed, they find themselves at opposite sides, there is however an underlining guilt, if you put Percy and Hijiri's solo songs in This Story of Us, it spells out 'if (I was) wrong'. Teruko and Yuuko, not the most powerful but the most noble, Teruko grabbing the Symphony to cure his mother while Yuuko stopping them from being corrupted.
In This Story of Us, each solo song has mentioned at least 2 of the seven deadly sins. Grey (Envy/Sloth), W.O.R.L.D. (Wrath/Lust), The Time Is Here (Lust/Wrath), Orange Parade (Pride/Gluttony), Not Enough (Greed/Envy), Wrong (Gluttony/Pride), If (Sloth/Greed).
In castle of tunes, the korean version, it showed the behind the scenes of their plot and how the losing side reacted to it. It also revealed that Grey had been completely drawn into something more sinister than the truth. In heartbreaker, the 6 of them, excluding Yuuko, had met up with each other and is solving a mystery of the disappearance of Madoka. Madoka is only seen within a plane of a mystical dimension where there is nothing but sadness and pain. In the end they found nothing but friendship amongst each other but Grey was the only one that seems to be able to see Madoka
In a short video, prior to the release of This Story of Us, it showed that they have resolved the issues between them but only by destroying the Symphony can they free Madoka but instead of doing so forcefully, Teruko sings My Own instead, prompting everyone but Grey to follow. Grey reveals to have been corrupted by Envy for them to be strong in Grey and was willing to break their spirits but they secretly loved the friendship that they had.
Now that Madoka is back, they have been living in a time of peace, but in another place, Grey has been sorting issues on her own, their solo album, 'Magic' explores this more, about the lack of family in their life and protection from failures and mental health. Though a disclaimer was made that Grey did used to feel like that but not more and asked the fans not to worry too much. The solo album showed Grey's storytelling through music and revealed to have a passion for writing as well. The next time the Symphony universe was mentioned was in their halloween single, encore, where they are living on their own with their jobs instead of being kids, they are now young adults with Madoka conducting the encore, the orchestra being just spirit looking figures with no features at all, there are many theories regarding this but it could be that they were somehow trapped and drawn back to the Symphony again.

- In Radio Bang the radio show, Grey reveals that they chose Mitsugi Studio because they used to go there as a kid to learn how to play the piano and Producer Yabuki taught them how to produce music. At first Symphony was just a group of them, Kelly and Madoka but because Yuuko and a few idol club members along with some fans wanted to join they started hosting auditions and even scouted for members. Grey was a huge part of the administration, something that has seldom been seen in idols.
