Composition & Lyrics

The album consists of mainly electropop, rock and edm, the album opens with What My Heart Tells Me, a song that Grey had produced and written with their friend that talks about a tragic unrequited love from the perspective of a hopeful, love filled heart of a young person. Since they had first written songs, they had always written in a gender neutral point of view, Guide the Light is the first song Grey had ever sung in the idol cup, the song talks about the worries and feelings before going on stage, as if it's a battle, only their love for music will guide them to the spotlight.

Anything talks about a group of friends having hopes, dreams and fears of their friendship, they will do anything to treasure and save the happy moments they have with each other, it was produced by KARO and co-produced by Wilton. Golden Bubbles' tone takes it lighter, it talks about playing in the sunset amongst golden bubbles and the innocence that comes with those light bubbles it is produced by KARO and Aria, Madoka has also been credited for writing most of the lyrics. Pop Synthesizer takes the tone up a notch with EDM, produced by Takumi, Wilton and Grey, it's about Symphony falling into the music. Heart is a hip hop and trap song that talks of being the better person, Kelly has writting credits for her verse and Percival has revealed that his melody was used for the bridge. the album ends off with Symphonic, the song includes orchestral and classical instruments before the beat drops into a rock melody.

A hidden track that wasn't revealed when the track list released, Fate talks about the feeling of being meant to meet each other in this life.

Trivia and Stats

  • Symphony's album cover is meant to be the unification instruments from different background, since an orchestral concert gets dark before it starts the background is black with a faint spotlight that is ready to introduce the members through the album. The debut concept is an orchestral themed surrounding but the members are all wearing no formal clothing, rather pop rock clothes that are colorful and modern.

What My Heart Tells Me

Lyrics

Grey Kelly Madoka Yuuko Teruko Percival Hijiri

Remember the carefree times
Our hearts used to beat as one

Even if it hurts, I cannot fight
All I can do is stay by your side

From when I first saw the stars
I felt the universe calling out to me
But I've never thought that I'd be the one

Looking back, there was you, in the place of where I used to be

You were the light from my dreams, my one and only
but the light blinded me, set me up for failure
in a world so dark, where could I have gone without my guide?

What you told be back then
I was naive, I believed your every step was better for us
But here I am, left on my own
With the stars still fresh in my mind

You're the comfort that I need
It's what my heart tells me
Love your voice that cheers me on when I'm down
But where is the voice now?

oh, oh, oh, oh, where is the sound now?

Shine on me, all the lights
On the field, with no barriers

Even if I want to go back, I can't
Often I wish I was still by your side

It's true, that I'm not strong
But in the past of you, I belong
The emptiness around me didn't matter
For you, I could have taken countless pitcher

Now that I'm here, it's clear
Our memories never really mattered, to you or me
All we do is teach each other a lesson
Love cannot be trusted, when you can't even trust yourself
What you told me back then
I should I believe in now, that I had a new love
One that is much volatile, yet so bountiful
Your voice is still vivid in my mind

You're the comfort that I need
It's what my heart tells me
Love your voice that cheers me on when I'm down
But where is the voice now?

oh, oh, oh, oh, where is the sound now?

Shine on me, blinding me from the darkness
On the field with no barriers

Even if I want to go back, I can't
Often I wish I was still by your side

You're the comfort that I need
It's what my heart tells me
Love your voice that cheers me on when I'm down
But where is the voice now?

oh, oh, oh, oh, where is the sound now?
