He's very soft spoken and shy, he dislikes having a voice of his own and often follows others' lead. He always follows his two half-siblings even though he's older and bigger.

He's pretty much the runt of the family with only Crowsong being more isolated than him. He hasn't showed specific talents unlike the rest, and lacks motivation to find it.

He's a daydreamer and enjoys quietly observing others, his timid nature also stops him from ever standing up for himself or others but he'd never dare to misbehave or defy orders on his own accord.

About

Ashkit was born about a moon earlier than his friends of the same age group, belonging to the other queen; Talontail. Both of his parents were young when they tragically dies in an accident, and Ashkit was too young to remember much.

Talontail, after some convincing, accepted the role as his new caretaker, though she always favoured her own kits and would only give him the basic necessities for survival. He was the quiet and unproblematic kit while the two, now half-siblings of his were mischevious troublemakers.

Relations

He never befriended Crowsong at any point, but she was at times given the task of watching over the kits while their parents were out hunting. His siblings; Featherkit and Duskkit would often times bully Crowsong, they would wittily tease and torment her with an innocent facade, especially if others were around.

Even if they were mean openly, noone would care to intervene or mind. Ashkit on the other hand did mind it, but would never say anything nor intervene. He would just stand by in the background quielty while feeling pity for her.

If anyone understood her it was him; he had lost his parents and at times would feel so lonely and uncared for, his friends would also turn to pick at him if they had the chance. They knew how fragile his confidence along with him also being easily manipulated, even if he wanted to conversate and befriend Crowsong he didn't dare to.

The end of his life

Crowsong hated everyone, including Ashkit. They seldom spoke but their eyes would meet every now and then, they both could see the sadness in each other and remained unhostile until the day of Crowsong's calling. She managed to lure him out first when he was on his own, outside of their camp as he would be her first kill. If anyone was to be spared the massacre which was about to unravel it was him.

When the familiar voice of Ashkit's family member called for him he would never in his life have expected a maniacal, black-drenched Crowsong approaching him with a terrorizing demeanour. Frozen with fear Ashkit asked about what was happening and she replied with the explanations of her calling and that he, along with the rest of their family were to die.

With a twisted expression of heartbreak and madness she also gave him the reasoning behind her act as she gave the first and only blow to the small, defenseless kit. Bleeding out on the ground the kit could see his cousin; tears streaming down her face for the first time in his life and all he could do was to blame himself.

Had he done something to help at any time in his life, it all might have turned out differently. All he could hope for now was that it would end quickly; for either her or his family while he'd be damned to a life in the Dark forest never to see his family again, and he accepted it.
