About
Secretive - Hedonistic - Particular - Smarmy
Rén is a mysterious sort, an older 'gentleman' who is often seen skulking about the tavern area of the Yasiara, seemingly lying in wait, despite being one of the workers.
He does not have credentials for having been hired at his older age, and is known about this little community as being slippery regarding his personal information. Preferences, however, are one thing Rén touches on openly, and rarely hesitates to speak his mind if someone perturbs him, or if his patrons for the night are an aggravation to him.
Because of his foolish demeanor, his customer base is low, and there are rarely repeating, dedicated patrons for him. He often takes the same work he does within the Yasiara out to the streets surrounding the building, hoping to find more coin elsewhere, but he truly does prefer the comfort and safety of the inn (and a few of the fellow workers that catch his eye, too). Worst case scenario when his funds are low- which is unacceptable for him- is to go back to pilfering coin, though that's his little secret.
If he sees an easy mark that interests him, he'll make up grandiose stories of adventures he has gone on and the deity status he has achieved-- all in make believe lands-- just to get their attention on him. Funnily enough, he is prone to superstition and general dark magic horror stories, and can be a bit fussy about his bedfellows if they divulge too much. And of course, if the attention is not fully about him at some point in the evening, he will take such a spurn personally and keep that grudge as long as he is not proven otherwise.
Likes
- Smoking pipeweed, which he feels keeps him calm and collected
- Some of his fellow workers at the inn
- Patrons who listen intently to his stories
Dislikes
- Being broke
- Old, stingy, greedy rich folks
- Noisy whiners who cough when he smokes near them
Trivia
- He is the only worker (beyond the cooks) to shoo off Straude from the inn
- Rarely seen without his pipe, leaving a trail of ashes and charred weed in his path
