Albéric Bernard

Valued by his peers, hated by his children, Albéric is known for being an honest but strict man. He is the father of Yvonne, Olivier, and Suzanne, and the husband of Pauline. The son of a pastor, Tancrède, and a schoolteacher, Clémence, he was born and raised in Tourcoing, but moved to Paris to study law, where he eventually met his wife and never left the city.

Albéric currently is at the head of the Bernard family, who has been the rival of the Dubreuil family for decades, mostly for money and religious matters. His main goal is to make his family keep a good image, and therefore, give his children the best education possible.

Albéric’s flat is home to his personal library, in which Harahel likes to spend most of his time. Albéric himself is an avid reader, and is knowledgeable about most of the works located there, even when he disagrees with its author’s philosophy.
