CHILDHOOD

Otto the very middle child of five Northwind children living in Texas, which he believes to be the most unluckiest sibling position to be in. He doesn't get as much attention from his parents as he had before his two younger siblings, hence how became a very independent man who merely withdraws himself from his family. Even in school he's rarely opened up to anyone. The only time where he was ever spending time with others were with two people that he met in California during the summer vacations.
Even if his lack of socializing skills hindered him from making a large number of friends, he still wanted to attract attention and fame - enjoying being watched by an audience. Solely for the fact that he looked up to his elder brother, who left their household to pursue a acting career and had actually hit it pretty big.
He'd pick up a guitar in hopes that music would be a way to get people's attention. Since then he realized that music was his true calling and his talent.
TEENAGE LIFE
"What about making a band? If music is your passion then we should support you, right? We'll make music right besides you."

While he continued to practice his talents in guitar, and thought his life would be satisfactory at this point, his parents divorced. All of his siblings who didn't get the opportunity to move away before the divorce has stayed with their mother - a rich, wealthy women, although bratty, had the financial needs to be able to care for her children, whereas the father could not. Motto, decided to take a different turn and followed his father and moved away out of state to live in their summer home in California. There, he meets a familiar childhood friend during his preteens and often clung to her for moral support and to relieve his loneliness.
ADULTHOOD
"Motto is more than just a talent in music. He's observant, and he's more importantly passionate in his work. Sure, he might not talk much in a regular conversation but when he hits that stage with a guitar and a pick in hand - he's a completely different person. He's rising high. And one look at him, I've fallen in love."

His friends made him realize that Otto should pursue a career in music, and should make his fame making it. However, the band with his friends was only a small time, temporary experience to what Northwind truly wanted. He respects that not all of his closest friends can pursue the same line of career as his own, hence why he's currently on the search for new and permanent band mates.
He meets Valeria, a friend back in high school that shares many interests with him. Yet, Motto becomes inspired by Valeria's singing voice and insists that she should join him in his musical endeavors.
TLDR
