A no-nonsense workaholic dedicated to her family and those she leads. Tora is a natural community leader who instinctively commands others. She's organized, methodical, and altruistic. Tora is extremely grounded, to the point of being uncreative and unimaginative. Although militaristic, she's very maternal: she cares deeply for her community members and believes wholeheartedly in ‘tough love.’ Tora is confident to a fault and unshakeable in her beliefs. And she never, ever gives up. That said, she can be stubborn and set in her ways. She thinks she knows best and she’s not good at following directions. Tora has a bit of a superiority complex and likes to be in charge.
Tor is dogmatic and obsessive, which goes hand-in-hand with her natural determination. She’s quick to go on the offensive if she feels she’s been wronged, and believes in being a ‘paragon of justice,’ even if her sense of ‘justice’ is more like ‘mindless revenge.’ She dislikes subterfuge and prefers to take the direct approach if possible. If she doesn’t know you personally, expect a cold reception. Tora is prepared to let her fists do the talking if she’s pushed over the edge.

Tora was born in a large city in the Ironjaw Kingdom. Her mother, Peri, was a closeted hedge witch, while her father, Thor was a mercenary. She initially had an idyllic and pleasant life there. As a child, she was precocious, loud, friendly, and popular.
Shortly after Siddhartha was born, Peri was outed as a hedge witch and was burnt at the stake, and Thor was forced to flee the city with his children to the countryside town of Savillrow. Here, Tora took on a maternal role in Siddhartha's life since Thor was often away for work. Tora became much more introverted, cynical, and sensible after her mother's death.
Trained by her father, Thor, Tora slowly evolved into a capable mercenary who helped defend her local community, resolve conflicts, and deal with threats. One day, Thor mysteriously walked into the forest, and never returned. Tora raised Siddhartha on her own after this. Shortly thereafter, something—and to this day, no one is sure what this something was—destroyed Savillrow in its entirity and burnt the forest to the ground. Many of the villagers were killed in the attack and there were few survivors.
Tora took her brother and sought sanctuary to the Deep Forest. During the boat trip to get there, she and Siddhartha accidentally picked up a stowaway named Auburn who fell asleep in a sack of potatoes, essentially adopting him.
The siblings settled in an isolated community in the Deep Forest called Werlock. At Werlock, Tora, Siddhartha, and Auburn were mentored by the community's resident grandmother, Cassiopeia, and they befriended her surly granddaughter, Sedna.
Since then, Tora has lived in Werlock with her brothers, using her mercenary skills to protect the community, although she is largely retired and tries to live simply, and away from the conflict that destroyed Savillrow.

Tora's little brother, who she is fiercely protective of. She takes on a more parental role than sisterly one in his life. Although their personalities clash with each other, her devotion to him is fierce and unmatched, although she wishes he would take things more seriously.
Tora's neighbour and friend, Torah is unsure how she's managed to become friends with Sedna when they butt heads so much. She would prefer if Sedna make an honest living, but has accepted to some extent that she can't change all her ways. Torah is constantly playing mediator between Sedna and the animals Sedna angers.
Tora is weary of Fabu since he's wandered into town. To some extent, she's tried her best to integrate Fabu into the community since she senses that he's very lonely, and has convinced him to take up an all-fish diet to satiate his appetite. She wishes he wouldn't hang out with Siddhartha so much.
Tora adopted Auburn after she and Siddhartha accidentally picked him up. However, she's endlessly at odds with him, since she considers herself a good judge of character, but Auburn is a mysterious bundle of walking mystery. She does her best to accomodate him and tries to give him a roof over his head. She wishes he would say "thank you" more often.
Tora has been warm towards Ginger since she first showed up in Werlock. She senses that he's had a difficult journey like her, but she doesn't try to force him to open up about his problems. Tora does her best to guide Ginger through his social awkwardness, and even gives him head pats once in a while.
