About

Vivienne is a mysterious, graceful, and determined woman. She worked hard to make all of her dreams come true, and still works hard to keep them alive. She works as a cafe owner, dark-and-psychic pokémon type trainer, and a semi-retired coordinator, and has a strong dedication for what she does. She lives in Castelia City and owns a maid cafe, something she had dreamed of since childhood. At said cafe, she acts a hostess -- she tends to her customers and facilitates pokémon battles in the huge battlefield in the middle of her cafe. As a host (and as a person in general), Vivienne tends to have an intimidating air about her. All of the people who step into her cafe know that she isn't to be messed with -- especially in the battlefield. Anyone who challenges her is almost destined to lose -- she's a very skilled strategist and knows how to weaken her opponents. Her team consists of Malamar, Absol, Liepard, Espeon, Umbreon, and her ace, Gothitelle.

Backstory

past

Vivienne was born in Kalos, specifically in Anistar City, to two very successful lawyers. Her parents really wanted her to follow in their footsteps and join them in the law field, but Vivienne really didn't want to. Instead, Vivienne really wanted to own a cafe. She was enticed by the local cafe, which she lived at walking distance from. She thought it would be fun for her to own a place where people from all walks of life could chat, become friends, and really just get to know each other. She also thought it would be a fun idea to host battles that customers could either participate in, watch, or both. Battling was another hobby of Vivienne's -- if she wasn't going to own a cafe, she definitely wanted to be a gym leader. She would frequently train at Anistar Gym, becoming very skilled in using psychic type pokémon. Her Gothita, which was a gift from her parents, took her very far in battle... but she felt like something was missing. She had seen many contests on TV and thought they looked so fun to participate in... thus, when she turned 18, she packed her bags and moved to Hearthome City to start competing in Super Contests. She initially started with her now-Gothorita, but because of her dark aesthetic, she thought it'd be worthwhile to train some dark type pokémon as well. She found success in Super Contests for a little over 10 years, but there was one thing that never left her mind: her dreams of owning a cafe. Using the success she had made off of being a coordinator, she packed her bags yet again, and moved to Castelia City to open the maid cafe of her dreams. She completely renovated an incredibly old cafe, refurnished it, created a huge battlefield in its center.

Present

Today, Vivienne still works as the hostess of her dream maid cafe. She still considers it to be her absolute pride and joy, and never wants to leave it. She especially loves battling people in the cafe's battlefield, finding it fun to knock cocky trainers down a peg in her own graceful, precise way. She, her Gothitelle, her lovely maid staff, and all of her other pokémon work diligently to keep her cafe in check.

Ollie [ Former Employee/Friendly Rival ]

Back when Ollie was obtaining her degree at Castelia University, she took up work as a waitress at Vivienne's cafe to pay her tuition. The two were already acquainted with one another, considering that they have competed against each other in Super Contests. Vivienne was happy to hire Ollie as a maid waitress, glad to have her back in her life. They tend to have friendly skirmishes with each other in the cafe's battlefield, which they both found to be super fun. Now that Ollie has her degree, she has since moved to Galar, but the two women stay in contact very frequently. Vivienne occasionally flies out to visit her, which makes Ollie very happy. Meanwhile, whenever Ollie makes her frequent trips to Unova, she always makes it a big deal to pay Vivienne a visit.

Dr. Odette [ Slightly-Less-Friendly Rival

Vivienne feels a bit threatened by Odette. Since Odette is a bug type trainer, she has an advantage over all of Vivienne's pokémon. Which Vivienne doesn't like. Vivienne treats Odette amicably, but tends to feel pretty standoffish about battling her. However, Odette doesn't entirely mind this -- she isn't super competitive. Still, Odette can tell that Vivienne is a bit threatened by her... which she teases her about..... which makes Vivienne angry. She knows Odette's teasing is all in fun, but it still makes her a little cranky.

Olympia [ Inspiration ]

Hailing from the same hometown as Vivienne, Olympia is a huge inspiration to the restaurateur. Not only are the two women from the same hometown, but they both train the same type of pokémon, which is the reason why Vivienne looks up to her. Not only this, but she thinks Olympia is incredibly graceful and pretty.

Fantina [ Friend ]

Vivienne met Fantina the very day she moved to Hearthome City, after several years of seeing her on TV. As uncharacteristic as this was for Vivienne, she was practically starstruck. Since then, Fantina has been a bit of a personal trainer toward Vivienne, helping her become the best coordinator she could possibly be. Vivienne strongly respects Fantina, and Fantina respect her as well.

Joey Sanela [ Friend ]

A friend of Ollie's, who met Joey while on one of her trips to Galar. Vivienne was quite excited to meet them -- she actually wanted something from them. Ollie had let her know that Joey was an artist, which made Vivi very eager to commission them. She wanted to display some art in her cafe, and upon seeing Joey's portfolio, she knew they were perfect for the job! Joey was honestly a bit nervous about her commission... not that it was difficult to pull off or anything, but the thought of having to draw and paint cute maid girls doing cute maid things made Joey's squealy side practically insane! They were able to do it, though, much to Vivi's delight. Vivi was actually so happy, she offered to fly Joey and Bunnie out to Unova for Joey to have a very short gig at the cafe -- not a music gig, but an art gig. Vivi thought having Joey sketch customers' portraits would draw in crowds, so Joey took up her offer and off they went! Their sketch gig went very well, and from there, Vivi and Joey became rather good friends.
