Jadewing

Jadewing is a warrior of ShadowClan. She was born in Cliffshade and Greenpine's second litter alongside her brother, Smokekit. She was mentored by Honeyrose and was a good friend of Autumnpaw's. She earned her warrior name, Jadewing.

"It’s different, Autumnpaw. We know Bloodfur. We see him every day. And he only killed one cat and felt horrible about it almost immediately from what I heard. Jadepaw is cheerful, kind, and sometimes lightly teases.

Kithood

Jadekit is born to Greenpine and Cliffshade alongside her brother, Smokekit. She was born early morning and Creamheart helped deliver her. Greenpine, Cliffshade, and Ebonypaw warmly admired the kits. Greenpine licks Jadekit, and she squeaks and rolls over, batting her paws at the air. Greenpine suggests the name Jadekit, and Cliffshade agrees it's perfect. (Ebonypaw's Loss, chapter 3)

Celebration

Ebonystripe tells Cliffshade that Greenpine, Smokekit, and Jadekit really want him to help decorate a tree by the nursery and repeats word for word Greenpine's threat to sing Deck the Camp to him until his ears fall off that thick head of his. Cliffshade reluctantly agrees and follows her across the clearing. (Bloodfur's Gift, part 1)

Apprenticeship

Jadepaw is apprenticed and receives Honeyrose as her mentor. She is kind toward Autumnkit and Stormkit and makes them nests when they're apprenticed. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 1) She and Autumnpaw quickly develop a good friendship.

She always tries to stay optimistic, even when Cliffshade worries about Deserve's Army becoming a threat.(Winds of Darkness, chapter 4)

Jadewing enjoys her training and becomes an exceptional hunter, proud when she catches a large squirrel. She is happy when learning their assessments will be held soon, and she and Smokepaw excitedly tell Greenpine. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 9)

While out training with Smokepaw, Boost, and Honeyrose, Boost falls in a hole filled with thorns. Jadepaw rushes ahead to tell the Clan what happened, alarmed and confused about what happened. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 9)

Warrior

She earns her warrior name, Jadewing, and is very proud when Depthstar announces it at the gathering. She is one of the cats who rushes to try to save Depthstar's life when he's buried alive.(Winds of Darkness, chapter 15)

Jadewing is selected to be a lookout with Autumnpaw in a tree that night. She admits she misses Autumnpaw and Stormpaw, as Ebonystripe is the only warrior close to her age but is still much older. She feels like she has to be as mature as everyone else despite the age gap. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 16)

Jadewing is surprised to hear Autumnpaw trusts Castiel. She knows Castiel was involved in killing Flintpaw and doesn't believe he can change. When they see Rosemary's soldiers, Jadewing leaps through the trees back to camp to report. She returns with a group of warriors and saves Autumnpaw from the soldiers. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 16)

Jadewing is amazed at how Autumnpaw spied on Rosemary's camp, praising her bravery. She teases her about looking forward to seeing Duskpaw again, sensing the affection between the two. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 29)
