Foxshadow is a soldier of Deserve's Army. He was born in ShadowClan to Greenpine and Ashcloud. Once they were apprenticed, Ashcloud made himself absent from their lives, and Greenpine also grew distant. He was mentored by Crowmask, and quickly became an ally in Poisonedsap's plot. He became the mate of Amberrose.
He fought on the side of Deserve's Army in battle against the Clans and killed Buzzardglare. Swiftstalker blinded him in his right eye before Foxshadow fled and joined Deserve's Army with Amberrose.
As Deserve goes soft, Foxshadow and Amberrose quickly become supporters of Rosemary. They fight on her side after she kills Deserve and become members of Rosemary's Army. They participate in her attacks and traps on the Clans, eager to get revenge on their former Clanmates.
During the battle against the Clans, Foxshadow and Amberrose are badly wounded and trapped in the fire. Deciding they would rather die than be taken prisoner, they huddle together in an embrace as the fire consumes them.
In death, he went to the Place of No Stars.
Foxshadow is a black, gray, and very dark ginger tom with a bushy tail, dark amber eye.

Foxshadow is cold, impatient, and cruel. He tends to be quiet sometimes, but his mind is filled with dark thoughts.
After losing an eye, he's eager to redistribute the wound in his attacks on ShadowClan. He slashes out one of Tinylark's eyes and attempts it on Bloodfur, but leaves him with only a scar.
He and Amberrose are partners in crime and inseparable.

Ashcloud is Foxshadow's father. Ashcloud realized upon his kits' birth that he didn't want to be a father. He helped Greenpine raise and care for them in the nursery, but after they were apprenticed, became absent from their lives.
Greenpine is Foxshadow's mother. She cared for her kits in the nursery, but grew distant from them as they grew up.
Mottledface is Foxshadow's brother. They are both allies in Poisonedsap's plot and are now soldiers in Deserve's Army.
Ebonystripe is Foxshadow's half sister, the daughter of Greenpine and Cliffshade. Foxshadow has no relationship with her.
Flintpaw is Foxshadow's half brother, the son of Greenpine and Cliffshade. Foxshadow has no relationship with him.
Jadewing is Foxshadow's half sister, the daughter of Greenpine and Cliffshade. Foxshadow has no relationship with her.
Smokewhisker is Foxshadow's half brother, the son of Greenpine and Cliffshade. Foxshadow has no relationship with him.
Amberrose is Foxshadow's mate. They were both allies of Poisonedsap and involved with her plot with Deserve. After the battle against the Clans, they retreated to Deserve's Army together.

Kithood
Foxkit was born to Greenpine and Ashcloud in ShadowClan alongside his brothers, Stripedkit and Mottledkit. After their birth, Ashcloud realizes he doesn't want to become a father, and feels more attracted to toms than she-cats. Greenpine understands, and Ashcloud helps to raise his kits until they are apprenticed. (Rainheart's Love, chapter 4 and Milkblaze's Suspicion, chapter 2)
Apprenticeship
Foxpaw is apprenticed and receives Crowmask as his mentor. He is on a patrol when Deserve attacks them, and Foxpaw is impressed by his fighting skills. At some point during his apprenticeship, he becomes one of Poisonedsap's followers and supports she and Deserve's plot against the Clans.
Disloyal Warrior
He becomes a warrior, Foxshadow, but his loyalty is entirely to Poisonedsap. He meets with Deserve's Army regularly and helps to frame ThunderClan for their murders. He and Blackstorm take part in a hunting patrol with Brownstripe and Diamondrain, fully aware that Deserve and his cats will be killing the two.
He forms a relationship with Amberrose, and they quickly become mates. They enjoy battle training together, even using their claws on one another.
During the battle against the Clans, Foxshadow kills the elder Buzzardglare, and in response, Swiftstalker slashes out Foxshadow's right eye.
Deserve's Army
After the battle, Foxshadow and Amberrose join Deserve's Army, eager to have their revenge on the Clans. But they begin losing faith in Deserve as he spends more and more time with Song's kits and delaying their next attack.
Rosemary's Influence
Foxshadow and Amberrose disapprove of Deserve and Castiel's growing softness. They're intrigued by Rosemary's intelligence and unique hunting traps. When they encounter Tansy on their territory and Castiel invites her back to camp, Foxshadow and Amberrose's support for Rosemary grows. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 5)
Foxshadow and Amberrose support Rosemary in her takeover of the Army and fight on her side after she kills Deserve. They're triumphant as Castiel and his followers leave the camp. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 8)
Foxshadow and Amberrose are with Rosemary's cats when they ambush Depthstar, Tinylark, and Boost. Amberrose holds down Tinylark while Foxshadow slashes her eye out, saying that more cats in ShadowClan deserve to look like him. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 15 and 19)
Foxshadow, Amberrose, Papercut, Mottledface, and Tornadowind attack Bloodfur's patrol. Foxshadow calls it a sort of revenge for Bloodfur costing them the battle. He also throws out the lie that Castiel is working with Rosemary. They attempt to kill Bloodfur, but fail and are driven off. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 15 and 19)
Foxshadow and Amberrose are entertained as they watch Heatstorm confront Rosemary. Heatstorm angrily yells at him for blinding Tinylark, and Foxshadow is amused, offering to take his eye too. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 21)
Amberrose and Foxshadow are sharing a squirrel by the soldiers den when Blinding Sun calls them over, asking if the seeds Kit has are indeed poppy seeds. They study them and incorrectly believe they are poppy seeds. They're actually foxglove, and the five cats who eat them die. Foxshadow and Amberrose run after Kit, Autumnpaw, and Duskpaw, but don't catch them. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 22)
Foxshadow pins Bloodfur and is about to strike him when Castiel cannons into him, sending him retreating. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 26)
Death
Amberrose and Foxshadow are badly wounded and trapped in a circle of flaming debris. They realize that even if they escaped the fire, they would be easily defeated. Spiderfang, Duskpaw, and Foxy offer them a path to safety and plead with them to cross, but they would rather die than be taken prisoner. Foxshadow and Amberrose lean together in an embrace as the fire spreads and consumes them. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 28)
- After Foxshadow kills Buzzardglare, Swiftstalker blinds him in his right eye, coincidentally giving him an identical scar and blindness to Buzzardglare's. (Shadows of Blood, chapter 16)
- Bloodkit notes that he hasn't played with another kit since Stripedpaw, Mottledpaw, and Foxpaw left the nursery, however all were apprenticed long before he was born. (Shadows of Blood, chapter 1)
- Foxshadow was originally the son of Ashcloud and Breezemoon. His siblings were Emberpaw, Hyenapaw, and Cavernpaw. It is noted that he wants to be deputy, and dislikes kits.
