✦ EARLY LIFE ✦

The child was not supposed to be born. His parents were in the midst of an affair with each other when his mother became pregnant with him. With the news of his conception, allegations began to surface. Eventually the news reach their spouse's ears, and their marriages fell apart. The pair were left with pity money and a ruined reputation. With no where else to turn to, the two married each other. Though everything that transpired had soured their love for each other, they were dependant on a common interest: money. They travelled to the Desert Region and took residence as merchants. The two decided to name the child Belial, denoting him to be worthless and a curse. Belial's parents opted in raising him with little love and care, often resorting to oursourcing the nurturing to babysitters. As the young boy grew his voice, he began to sing... and what a beautiful voice he had. His parents jumped on the opportunity to exploit this talent and enrolled him in singing lessons. Because of this, Belial was mostly a trophy child for them. They would show off his accomplishments in the face of the public, but they would not give the recognition to him.

As the young boy grew older, Belial tried to find many ways of escape. He was 14 years old now. He reasoned with himself; he did well enough in class so he skipped them. One day, while roaming the street markets, he came across performers. He was entranced by their performance. He loved the way they moved and danced. He loved the way they told a story with their expressions and careful movements. It didn't take long for Belial to pick up the practice himself. He quickly kindled a close relationship with the group of performers. Belial kept this hidden from his parents. He would make the excuse of going to his lessons, paying his instructor to lie in his stead, and made his escape to dance with his friends. But it all fell apart when his grades started to slip. He was nearing the end of his schooling, missing classes would be detrimental. With him skipping one too many classes, his instructors reached out to his parents. They notified them of his behavior. His parents took action immediately, cutting back the time he can spend outside and set a curfew for him. They kept a close eye on where he went by hiring a guard dog. Belial was their bird, and they had him caged.

After Belial's graduation, his parents were burdoned by his prescence in the house. They were friends with a widower who his eyes on the young man. Belial wanted to take this opportunity to escape the life with his parents. However, it seemed that would not be the case for him... yet.

✦ EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN ✦

Two years after his marriage with the widower, Belial had suffered just the same. A home wihtout love and kept only as a trophy, the young man spiraled into a depressive state. Now at age 21, he questioned if his life was worth living. Belial took the blade on impulse and locked himself away in his quarters. As he layed on the floor, barely concious, he a loud bang, though he did not have much energy to stir anymore. He heard his spouse's voice, then the familiar sharp and cold blade dig into his stomach. The older man was once again a widower.

The young man opened his eyes... but he did not feel the same as before. He was lighter... as if the heaviness in his heart had been lifted. Blinking awake, the young man looked around at the sandy and decrepit tomb. He had somehow been ressurected as a Yamask. At first, he was disoriented.. but slowly the memories of his past flooded back to him. Even still, the young man knew he was free from that life. He wandered the ruins until he was found by two elderly explorers. They were surprised to find the Yamask, but took him in nonetheless. The two were influential in their craft, and hosted a search and rescue team of their own. Seeing the young Yamask, they were compelled to adopt him as their own son. When they asked for a name, the young Yamask thought long and hard. Finally, he gave them the name "Kamil." He told them he had no recollection of his past, and would rather keep it that way. This was a new beginning for him.

Mila spend the next few years with his new adopted family, the pair's other children were ever welcoming and friendly with his arrival and he grew a close kinship with them.

✦ PRESENT DAY ✦

The young Yamask was enjoying his new life, though it happened to fall into his lap, he felt as if he earned it. His adoptive parents were supportive of his ventures in joining a dancing and singing group. While Mila enjoyed doing that on the side, he was also keen on helping his parents with their missions. Their act of kindness towards him led Mila to foster the same values.

Now at the age of 26, Mila was working with a colleague who mentioned a bigger group named GCSF who had opened their doors a few years ago. Mila knew he wanted to work his way to joining the group one day. That day came sooner than he thought it would. A group of Bounty Hunters dubbed Shining Justice made it to the shores of the Desert Region. While exploring the town Mila resided in, the young Yamask sparked a conversation. Of the members in Shining Justice that landed there, Mila caught the interest of Zaki, a Toucannon. Zaki invited Mila into the group, it was an offer Mila did not want to pass up. Within the next few weeks, Mila was ready to travel to Kala Island and register under Shining Justice.

Shining Justice has gone through many changes in the duration Mila has been a member, the team is now rebranded to Ephemeral.

The young man woke up in an ancient tomb, where he was rescued by an elderly couple. He gave them the name "Kamil" and they adopted him into their family
Mila, ever grateful for his new life, began to work with his adoptive parents. One day he heard about GCSF from his colleague. He set his sights on joining it one day.
Team Shining Justice landed on the Desert Region where Mila met them. Mila talked with Zaki and the latter invited Mila to join.
A few weeks later, Mila was on his way to Kala Island to register in Shining Justice
Shining Justice is now named Ephemeral
