✦ EARLY LIFE ✦

Massimo was the first born child of decently wealthy parents. He was born two days after his cousin Cassius. Needless to say, the two of them grew up together and had a close relationship. They did not leave each other's sides, even when Camilo, Massimo's little brother, was born. The two older boys preferred to play with each other and kids their age. Massimo would often tease his younger sibling whenever he wanted to play with them, telling him to go play with children better suited for him. Despite that, he was still a responsible older brother, watching out for his younger sibling in his own way.

✦ EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN ✦

While the two cousins grew older, they began to exhibit different behaviors with their schooling. While Cas was more studious, Massimo began to slack in his educational responsibilities. Massimo was bored of school, he could not sit still during lectures. He would often dip from school to play with others who did the same, often mixing with a rough crowd that enabled his inattentive behavior. Because of this, Cas and Massimo both started to drift apart and they lost the relationship they once had. At that point in time, Massimo couldn't care less about the harm his actions were causing between them. He wanted to chase adventure, and to him it wasn't being stuck in a classroom. Though he did not let his grades slip. This was to thwart his parent's suspicions of his actions outside of school. To them, he appeared to be a perfect student.

Now, at age 18, Massimo continued to mix with a dangerous crowd. Together, the crowd would often party and use substances to enhance their experience. During one of these parties, a group of delinquents brought up looting houses during the night. They needed him for his skilled hands in lockpicking. It took some convincing, but Massimo agreed. He was addicted to the risk. The group made their plans quick and targeted a house. A weeks later, Massimo helped break and enter into a house he was all too familiar with. His little brother had a Mienfoo friend, and this was his home.

Massimo quickly became aware of his actions and fled the scene. His conscious blackened with guilt, and he ran to the docks where he ran into a band of pirates. While they were not looking, Massimo snuck aboard. Before the night was over he was discovered by a crewmate. While the captain of the ship was angered by the delinquent Ralts's actions, Massimo quickly persuaded them into letting him stay. He was skilled with quick hands and he could fight, he would be useful for them. To Massimo's surprise, the captain agreed, and when they asked for the Ralts's name, Massimo gave them the name "Jasper."

The young Ralts, now going under the name Jasper, was put through a trial to initiate him into the crew. The ritual was difficult and left him injured, leaving scars all over his body. Despite that, Jasper was determined to keep his life. He passed the ritual and soon enough, he was welcomed under the crew. He began traveling with the band of pirates, often joining them in their escapades in stealing and ransacking. Though a part of him still had a guilty conscious. He was not home any more. Even if they did find out he was there that night, he knew he couldn't go back with his guilt. He pushed those thoughts away and continued life.

Within the 10 years of being with the pirates, Jasper was taken in under the wing of the captain like a son. With the new found family, Jasper learned the values of being in a community worthwhile. Though Jasper never felt like he deserved to be a part of it because of his past actions. Still, he worked diligently on the ship and grew close to the crew, even calling one of them his best friend. He enjoyed life out on the sea, seeking adventure and fighting what was out there in the world. Eventually the old man appointed him to be the new captain, but Jasper insisted on still calling him by his formal title. The captain had grown sick over the years and became too weak to leave his home. During those years, Jasper would often visit and take care of him on the island. He was already preparing to become a full-fledged captain with his best friend as his right hand. Jasper was on his way to his captain to update him on the progress of the ship when suddenly he was apprehended. He was taken in custody by his cousin Cassius.

Jasper was in shock. He could not fully believe he was seeing his cousin again after a very long decade. Cas questioned him on his whereabouts and actions, however Jasper met him with silence. He was not prepared to tell his diligent cousin the gruesome details of his life. After going in circles, Cas grew frustrated and asked if Jasper even wanted to go back home. The thought of going back home had crossed Jasper's mind several times over the course of his years away. Of course he wanted to go back home. He was just completely and utterly afraid of facing the guilt he held. Cas gave him an ultimatum: Cas won't dig deeper into the subject if Jasper agreed to come back home with him. Jasper agreed to these conditions, although he was weary of the reception he would get once he's back home. He knew his family was disappointed and saddened by his disappearance, and it almost felt tangible when the two returned home. Camilo, especially, was suspicious of Jasper's untold truths. Over the next few years. Jasper picked up work here and there to help out with the family and make amends to cover the grounds of his guilt. Though it was not easy to convince Camilo of his atonement.

✦ PRESENT DAY ✦

During the years Jasper came back, Camilo joined the CGSF with with his friends, Shiloh and Zaki. Cas had mentioned that Jas should take a change of pace, soon after Camilo left to join the misfit group of Bounty Hunters, Cas left his work to join as well. Jasper thought long and hard about the prospect. His whole life seemed to have lead him to do the exact opposite, perhaps this new change would be good for him. The next time Camilo and Cas visited home, Jas inquired about joining the group. With Shiloh's permission, the three family members left home to Kala Island to initiate Jasper into the bounty hunting team Shining Justice.

Shining Justice has gone through many changes in the duration Jas has been a member, the team is now rebranded to Ephemeral.

Massimo and Cassius were born around the same time, only 2 days apart. Because of this they were always close growing up and they were believed to be brothers.

Massimo fled the scene, and stowed away on a pirate band's ship. He was discovered and upon inquiry he gave them the name "Jasper" as his alias.
Jasper was tasked to partake in a ritual to become initiated into the pirate crew, while it was difficult, Jasper passed and traveled with the group for 10 years.
During these 10 years, the ship's captain grew sick and appointed Jasper to be the new captain. Jasper would visit and nurse the old man every chance he got.
During one of these visits, he was apprehended by his cousin Cassius. He was questioned, but he did not give any answers. They agreed to let the issue slide for now if Jasper went home with Cas.
When Jasper arrived home, the tensions were high but slowly dissipated over time. Jasper found work to help around the house and busy himself.
Camilo joined Shining Justice with Shiloh and Zaki, soon after Cas also joined. This left Jasper wondering about a change of pace in his life.
Jasper decides to join Shining Justice as well, and the next time the team visited, Jasper was taken with them to Kala Island to join officially.
Shining Justice is now named Ephemeral
