Clayton's Links
Clayton doesn't seem to hold any strong feelings towards the king, merely thinking of him as a new employer. Roy seems to be nice enough, always trying to engage him in conversation, but if it's not orders than Clayton doesn't really listen. He does, however, appreciate the constant compliments over the castle's cleanliness.
Roy doesn't quiet remember the first time he met Clayton. It just feels like... they've always known each other. Although it could very well possible that all the chaotic events that had happened to him upon arriving at the castle melded together into one blurred memory. He does find Clayton to be an excellent butler (although he's never really had a butler to compare), but it's so hard to be around him! Clayton is so quiet! He's always there when Roy least expects him! He feels like no matter what he's doing he's always being watched!
Clayton doesn't trust Trolly as much as he can throw him. There's a suspicious air around the knight and he certainly doesn't remember someone like him working in the castle before. He doesn't trust Trolly, but seeing that nothing has befallen the king or the castle yet, he can do nothing more than watch carefully.
Trolly knows of Clayton suspicions about him, but he isn't too worried about the King's roomba. But by GOD if this man's not eerily quiet. Gives him the heebie jeebies. He makes sure to be extra careful whenever Clayton could be around.
[Rivals] Although Clayton is often quiet and stoic, he can't help but be filled with anger whenever he sees the bastard butler. Heinrich boasts about his castle, but there are far too many mistakes he's ignoring, and Clayton makes sure to tell him any chance he gets.
[Rivals] Clayton is a terrible butler that takes poor care of his castle, and it shows. Heinrich prides himself in how great his own castle is, and makes sure to chide the other butler over his terrible work.
Clayton has served the royal family for centuries. When En was exiled, he was asked to look after him and thus departed to join him in exile, making sure he is still well looked after. He has never had much opinion on anyone in the royal family... but he does have a soft spot for the young prince that's been shunned by the world. Perhaps this sympathy is borne from familiarity...?
Clayton coming with En was very comforting for him. Not only did he have someone he grew up with helping him, but it felt like he was on his side. Although the butler barely shows emotion, En can't help but feel like he can understand him at least better than the others.
Clayton is aware that his sudden pact with his kingdom's king caused not only a disappearance, but an abrupt change in the cycle of how things went. Now that he has his memories once again, he can only wonder how things went. If he hadn't been retrieved yet, then surely things are going well...?
Thank goodness for all the reapers that were around, because once Lament was gone things were HECTIC! If it had just been him and the others, things would have been a lot worse. Where did that guy go, anyway...?
Clayton is always troubled whenever the elf king is around. They both do not say it out loud, but the king knows who he is. That knowledge and taunting smile bothers the butler. He tries to avoid him when he can.
Now, even though he doesn't use magic, Arsenio is still capable of sensing it, especially ancient, eldritch magic. That butler is old and powerful. Just what kind of beasts does Litari keep close? And how? It's very interesting.
