Armageddon's Links
[Related] The kid's father, though he doesn't know it. The mother kept it a secret, knowing full well that he loved someone else more than her. Has no idea about the kid's existence, or that his own blood is in a goddamn pop band.
[Related] Named after his father, yet hates everything about him, even their stupid shared hair. He doesn't know a single thing about his dad, or about how his mom kept him a secret from him. Wants to find him to punch him. Definitely inherited his edgy anger.
Close friends. They like to talk and share beers and grumble about how stupid kids are these days. May have been something more at one point, may have been something less. It's a myssstery.
Grumpy dad friends (tm). They're both a mess and like to complain and get drunk together. It also helps that neither of them are human, so they bond over that.
Lan created him, though he didn't look like a street lamp back then, but his personality was annoyingly fatherly then too. When Arm was at his lowest, Lan offered a chance to rebuild his life. He's grateful to get rid of the title of Wroth.
Now how interested was this, that emotions could infect even his demons? Love, for that matter. Lan had never seen it before, but was dismayed to see it punished by Fate. He offered Arm a chance, let him rebuild Wrath with his powers, and in return... let's help this love survive.
He's the one that sealed the old creature's soul into Dragon under its orders. He also helped age the kid up to where he is now. It may be guilt, but Armageddon took it upon himself to look after the kid now and then and talk to him occasionally. He won't admit it, but he considers Dragon like a son.
Armageddon may be mean and scary, but Dragon adores and admires him. He's the only person that's never disappeared on him and has always been there for him. He looks up to the demon as a father figure.
"I'm pretty sure you ain't who I'm lookin' for, kid."
"This is my wolf demon husband."
Arm ran into the sheepish cop once and never could bring himself to just let him go. Poor kid is always shaking and tripping over his words. The demon feels a sense of obligation to looking out for him, though he'll never admit that's why he's around. He also greatly enjoys having someone around to appreciate his barbecue, even if he's made it clear he'll squash Daniel like a bug if he says anything bad about his cooking.
At first Daniel was scared of Armageddon, but in a different way - and more so - than he'd experienced with essentially anyone else in his life. As such, it took him a long while to come around, though he did eventually warm up to Arm (at least, insofar as Daniel can be said to calm down near literally anyone). He was too afraid to say anything bad about the food in the first place, but while it didn't originally conform to his tastes, he did ultimately find that it was more palatable than - say - donuts, and established more of an acceptable routine, as Daniel always seemed to find himself without the appetite to even consider eating. Ironically, then, it appears that the looming threat of death has done him some good, and while Daniel is awful at showing his gratitude, he has tried to get a bit better at keeping himself safe and relatively healthy over the time they've known each other.
Armageddon found himself caught by soldiers during a war he had no care for. Before the scientists could do anything to him, however, he slashed out of his restraints, slicing up the head doctor's face in the process. He ran off, but is surprised to find the doctor still hot on his trail after all these years. Despite how close he is, Armageddon sees Decius as more of a persistent fly than a threat.
Armageddon was the first non-human Bernard had caught. His excitement to learn about the unknown proved fatal, as the demon broke free, leaving the doctor with a horrible slash across his face that would become a permanent mark whenever he reverts out of his Decius persona. Whether sane or psychotic, no matter the state Decius is in there's one thing that stays true: he wants to find that demon that got away.
[Related] Maple's grandfather. Armageddon knew about Maple even before she could even talk, recognizing that demon wolf scent instantly. He's still not fully used to accepting Arm Jr. as a son, let alone having a granddaughter. Although he does feel inclined to protect her until she develops her powers more.
[Related] Maple feels as though she doesn't quite know that MUCH about her grandfather, but she wants to know him better! After all, he's her family, and family should be close, right?
Arm and Cor are similarly powerful demons with a similar background of caring for someone that was stolen from them. He's aware of how Cor has coped, though he doesn't think it's necessarily correct. What IS correct, though, is not something he can answer, either.
Both are ancient demons with rivaling powers and tragic backstories. Both had been touched by a human's compassion, only for them to be ripped away from them. Cor, however, actively works to make the world better. He thinks Arm is now nothing more than a dog with a tail stuck between his legs.
