Dr. Decius's Links
[Related] Father to Cameron. Even when he's Decius he still recognizes him and loves him. Gets his "experiments" from him and also helps with his weapons. Jokingly calls him Officer Son.
[Related] He's Decius's son. Still loves his dad with all his heart despite being turned immortal against his will. Visits him regularly and helps him with his "experiments". Jokingly calls him Dr. Dad.
It's not unusual for people to come in uninvited to Decius's "home". Honestly, he encourages it. It makes finding test subjects far more easier to find. Richard, however, was different. The young man already had a plan in mind, rather than wandering the halls in fear. He snuck past all the creatures in the asylum and managed to get his hands on the elixir. Decius doesn't know what's happened to that man, although he'd love to see what he's done with the serum.
He wouldn't be where he is today if it wasn't for that mad scientist. Truthfully, Richard had dismissed the stories of the scientist as just that: stories. But desperation pushed him to enter the abandoned asylum anyway, to which he was surprised to find occupants inside. He barely got out alive with the serum, and now here he is, just as "happy" as the serum's creator.
Before developing his immortality serum, Bernard Rieux was a doctor that tested on people. His research was focused on non-humans and how to grant humans such abilities. During his research, he came across Nikolai and incidentally awakened his Sin abilities. They met years after the war, where Nikolai granted him the needed ingredients for his immortality serum in return for helping the Sin with a problem of his own. The two keep tabs on each other but don't seem to converse freely, rather choosing to avoid each other when they can.
Before Nikolai had become the Sin he is now, he had been a captured soldier that was sent to the camps for doctors to perform experiments on. Decius was one of the lead doctors that worked on him, torturing him to death until Sloth granted Nikolai the powers needed to escape.
Armageddon was the first non-human Bernard had caught. His excitement to learn about the unknown proved fatal, as the demon broke free, leaving the doctor with a horrible slash across his face that would become a permanent mark whenever he reverts out of his Decius persona. Whether sane or psychotic, no matter the state Decius is in there's one thing that stays true: he wants to find that demon that got away.
Armageddon found himself caught by soldiers during a war he had no care for. Before the scientists could do anything to him, however, he slashed out of his restraints, slicing up the head doctor's face in the process. He ran off, but is surprised to find the doctor still hot on his trail after all these years. Despite how close he is, Armageddon sees Decius as more of a persistent fly than a threat.
Bleu was one of the first experiments Decius had, having been given a child to work on during the war. She was one of the rare ones to endure being rebuilt, and is now a powerful weapon.
He was surprised to see her again after so many years, but gladly accepted her into his strange, little family. She's helpful and obedient, so he gives her housing and food in exchange for looking after his experiments and capturing any that try to escape.
Bleu feels impartial to Dr.Decius for when she finally found him he let her stick around and gave her a job to catch any of his experiments that tried to escape his lab. She respects him and sees him as a sort of father figure unaware of his connection to her change and does her best to protect him, his reputation, and his experiments. She unwittingly does an extra good job when he's in the same room as her to try and receive his praise, though she has not admitted that to herself.
