Proto is a complicated character, as in, he's not quite sure who or what he is or how he came to be. In his world, Robots can't or shouldn't be able to use soul magic. However, Proto not only can use magic, but has specifically the use/ability of the human magic users! He guesses that these powers were sealed into him while he was being built, but that's as far as he's figured out. He doesn't know who his creator is or where he was built. He activated one day in an abandoned building unnoticed by everyone. His body (being robotic) is not designed to be able to handle magic, so his powers go out of control easily when he gets too emotional. If he keeps himself calm however, everything is under control.
Proto is a quiet soul. He loves quiet and stress free activities such as sewing, listening to music, meeting with friends, walks in the park, and doodling. However, if someone is posing as a threat to him, he knows how to fight. He can use his powers well when he needs to, but the problem comes with calming down after the battle ends. He struggles with calming his magic down and it can take him up to an hour to get his soul (and the rest of him) to stop shaking.
He loves to interact with people in non-stressful environments, but sometimes he wishes he could allow himself to get excited without the anxiety of accidentally causing damage hanging over his head. He loves to laugh! He loves watching exciting things on TV or listening to exciting music, but he still has to remain cautious for his own sake.
