Stock Shōnen Hero. TV Tropes describes this as being a big-hearted, energetic Kid Hero that, intellectually, they're nothing to write home about. Underneath this average simple-minded character is a cunning genius when it comes to what they strive in. They carry the natural gift that blows others out of the water and will train so hard that he catches up to and outsmarts masters of their craft. While they take pride in their strength, their true power comes from their friends. No matter it takes, they will never give up when it comes to defeating those that fight them and will find whatever means necessary to win. This is the type of person that Apollo is, and this is how this man managed to reach a high rank in the Union.

Apollo is a Bestian Blaziken that managed to rise from being a small town boy in the mountains to a well-known face in the Union. What is a Bestia you ask? Bestia are Pokémon that are said to be directly descended from mega evolved and G-Max Pokémon. For Apollo, he sees being a Bestia as being a curse and a gift. While he enjoys being stronger than the average Pokémon and takes great pride in being Bestia, he struggles with dealing with the dangers of his feral forme as it often draws on his more negative emotions. It's those negative emotions that reminds him of his fears of being his dad.

It wasn't until a year or so ago things changed for Apollo when he met Alister. It is through their time ago the two would learn they were a bounded pair known as 'The Forbidden'. Bounded Pairs were two or more fated individuals that were supposedly meant to be together for eternity as the 'Gods' have chosen it. Those bounded are considered bless as a result. However, very few realize they are bounded pair as there are very few that exist in the world. Not only that but information regarding bounded pairs is quite scarce, so it was hard to know what benefits and hindrances it had to offer.

Perhaps being with Alister will help him finally be able to face his father and put his foot down on what the man put him through.

Apollo was born in Village of Veritas within Mount Rem. Mount Rem is the mountain that is said to be the resting place of the Boundary Pokémon: The Completed One. No one knows the actual species name of the God. In fact, not much is known about the Pokémon besides some rumors. A well-known rumor for those that live in Mount Rem is that this Pokémon is said to have been divided into three dragons as a result of battle it had with the Orderly One: Zygarde. These dragons are said to represent the Yin, Yang and Wuji, and each are worshiped in the larger three villages that rest in the mountain. Reshiram is the dragon of truth and represents the yang. Those who live in the Village of Veritas are said to worship her. Zekrom is the dragon of ideals and represents the yin. Those who live in the Village of Ideālis are said to worship him. Kyurem is the dragon of void and represents the wuji. Those who live in the Village of Inanis are said to worship them. Kyurem is said to have the ability to fuse with both Reshiram and Zekrom. However, Reshiram and Zekrom refuse to fuse with Kyurem at the same time as they wished to embrace their freedom. They did agree to fuse with Kyurem in a situation that would be far too big for all three dragons to handle by themselves.

Apollo Murphy is the son of Ra [Bestian Blaziken/Father] and Theia [Bestian Ampharos/Mother] that hatched during the late fall months. Apollo is the younger brother of Helios [Blaziken]. It was always a mystery during the first few month if Apollo was a Bestian or not as there was always that chance he could simply be a normal blood despite his parent's blood. Combined that with the fact that a Bestian Blaziken ability is the same as a hidden ability a normal Blaziken, it certainly didn't help make things easier. As such, it took quite a while for Apollo's parents to truly piece against what Apollo was until the effects of the moon would hit the male when he was around three where his family realized he was a Bestia. Needless to say, they were very delighted to hear the news of that.

What is a Bestia? Bestia are Pokémon that directly descended from Pokémon that are said to mega evolve without mega stones (or in some cases gigantamax without the need for Power Spots). These Pokémon are said to carry traits of mega (or G-Max) Pokémon such as their personality, looks and even their abilities. For Bestia, they thought themselves as being partial evolution of Pokémon into their next stage of evolution. However, for non-Bestias, Bestia were considered to be Pokémon that acted as a middle ground of feral Pokémon and civilized Pokémon. This is due to the fact feral Bestia are said to possess a feral forme. This feral forme is akin to something along the lines of a werewolf form when they transformed under the full moon. This forme seems to take more of the influence of Bestia’s counterpart, only they are primal in nature. It is for this reason alone that Bestia are feared.

However, Apollo was lucky enough not to deal with such a thing as half of the population in his village were Bestia. The villagers of Veritas were very accepting of the Bestia kind. Because of that, Apollo was lucky not to deal with the prejudice that Bestia tend to face and lived a relatively decent life. Apollo did appreciate his years in the village as it did help give him the skills needed to grow into a proper adult. However, his family life was....contentious at best. When it came to his older brother and mother, he never dealt with problems in regards to them. They were always patient, kind and ever so loving towards him. They always made their mission to make time for him no matter what. His father...was different. He was colder, harsher and so much more deep in the ways of Bestian. While he is never the type to physically or emotionally harm him, his words were always so harsh. Nothing was enough for him.

That didn't stop him from trying to impress him.

While Apollo cherish the attention he received from his mother and brother, the attention he wanted from his father was different. The little bits he got from it were so addicting with how rare he received it. To him, getting that positive attention from his father made him feel like a important, valued member of their "pack". It let him feel trusted and grow a more positive self-image for him. That's why he tried his best to be as strong as him. That's why he always overworked himself with training and act as a goodey two shoes. To him, he thought that this would allow his father to finally look at him as a son than someone who just exist in his house and is occasionally useful. However the more he tried to impress his father, the more he realized just how similar he was to. At first, that made him happy until he realized he picked up the man's worse traits: his rage and malice.

It's those traits that made him realize why his father chose to become the hunter of the village.

That malice and that rage gave him the opportunity to tear into ferals without much of a hint of remorse or worry about being judged. After all, these were "nothing more than animals" according to his father. They don't have "rights" according to his father. They were great for getting stronger and experimenting with powers. This lack of care and respect for Arceus' creatures alarmed Apollo. Honestly, it scared the man away from wanting to be anyway similar to him. This gave him a disgust for his Combusken form as he has evolved into one solely because he wanted to impress his father. Distress by the reality of the morality of his father, Apollo turned to Lewis to help him grow stronger so he can evolve to not impress his father...but to try to find his own path. Lewis was the best option for this as his ex-partner-now-best-friend was such a important person in his life. He was always so kind and caring towards him yet he was willing to be honest. It was thanks to him that he was able to evolve into the Blaziken and see it as a opportunity to finally grow into something more than his father.

However, it was Helios that informed him that it would be best if he leaved their village and start a life elsewhere. Helios felt that the village only taught him so much, and their father's presence still had such a tight hold on Apollo. Apollo was hesitant about leaving due to feeling that he was still needed. However, Helios managed to convince him otherwise and how he never gotten the chance to be try to focus on himself. He even pointed out how it wasn't until he took a journey through the world, he was able to finally find what made him happy and find the love of his life. After talking to Lewis about his own journeys through the world through the occasional letters he received from him and reflecting on Helios' words, Apollo decided to listen to his brother and leave his hometown. So with a bag filled with some of his possessions and the optimism in his heart, the male left to explore this new world.

Despite seeing the prejudice and the dangers it has to offer, Apollo kept his head up high. He didn't allow this to deter him from his mission of finding himself and seeing the wonders the world has to offer. During his travels, he would stumble upon various Pokémon in the world before a Union member would offer him a chance to join the Union. After some pondering, he accepts their honor and spend many years, working his way to the top. It wouldn't be long before Apollo would end up as a star member of the Union and someone that many respected. It's this reputation that will give him the chance of meeting Alister and being assigned to act as his partner. This didn't bother him all that much espesically with knowing what Alister went through. What he wasn't expecting was to slowly fall in love with the serpent and struggle with wondering whether to keep their relationship a platonic one or not.
