Primrose is an elegant and stylish individual. However, even though she literally has flower petals growing on her eyelids, she's not the romantic and flowery type. Everything with her needs to be square and exact.
Primrose's design is actually loosely inspired by an adopt that I bought from Panda-Berries over at deviantart which can been seen in the first reference that I drew for Primrose.

Primrose believes that she knows a little of everything because she read tons of books when she was young. She hates being corrected and finds it very difficult to concede to others. She often means well, but this causes her to often come off as arrogant or demeaning.
And This is my True Form
Primrose is able to shapeshift. Thus, Primrose can have different horn shapes, different color palettes, and even different kinds of flowers. I also don't mind if she is drawn with different proportions.
Bad memories
It's difficult for Primrose to forget grudges and betrayals.
Learned behavior
While initially distant, Primrose learns how to form meaningful friendships and joins everyone else in their antics. The most notable role that Primrose learns to play is being Nugget's babysitter.

Moveset
Vine Spike Special
Solid, thorny vines are summoned from the group, piercing upwards. These vines can also be manipulated to grab targets.
Goring Headbutt Physical
The target is pierced with horns.
Shapeshift Magic
The physical form is altered to something different. The user's color and sillouette may change, but the user's normal voice is retained.
Scratch Physical
Claws are used to scratch the opponent.
Canon History
Personality-wise, Primrose is by default fairly cold and distant towards strangers. She is very eloquent and tends to use fancy or outdated words which makes her sound like a snob, but in reality she doesn't mean to provoke other people's distain and sincerely uses words like "superfluous" and "ignominious" because she can't think of any other synonyms for such terms. Two traits that she values a lot is truthfulness and honesty, but she also isn't afraid of stooping to deception if she feels that she has no other options. Some general information of her background has been included in the spoiler tag below.
As a child, she didn't really care much about getting along with others and prefer to isolate herself in libraries reading books. Most of the other children her age mistakened her politeness as feigning interest, so the other children regarded her as unapproachable. However, older individuals found her to be easy to talk to, and thus she was frequently a teacher's pet. She also has nearly complete control over her powers because she studied and practiced her abilities a lot.
She actually studied to become a lawyer in school, but she ambitiously starts her own loan shark company (sort of like a tax collector, but instead of collecting money she collects souls. The demon economy uses souls as currency). Alas, due to rampant deflation (mostly because fear mongrels keep eating the souls), she has trouble paying back the debt that she accrued to start her company. She also tends to give extensions to her clients because she is too softhearted to collect souls on time. This causes her great destress - technically speaking, demons who cannot pay their debt are subject to become mindless eternal servants to the demon that lent them the souls, and Primrose fiercely values her independence and intellect. As such, she also picks up independently contracted jobs in an effort to make ends meet.
(She has a benefactor - Bugaboo - who paid off all of her debts to other demons. As such, she only owes souls to Bugaboo. Bugaboo hasn't forced her to become his mindless servant...yet...for reasons unbeknownst to her.)
She doesn't consider anyone to be her friend; all of her acquaintances are merely "business contacts" for her. She has a broad network of contacts that she can ask favors from thanks to her ability to adhere to staunch social ettiquette.

- She secretly wants to be able to have a romantic relationship similar to those found in romance novels, but she will never admit this.
- Primrose actually wishes that she has white magic (such as the ability to heal others)
- While she typically abides by social norms, she isn't afraid of rejecting gender norms.
- Probably has a touch of OCD (I haven't really decided on the extent of her neuroticism yet)
Known Alternate Forms
- Bby Primrose (Canon) - This form will show up in the main storyline- Corsage Primrose (Non-canon) - Design was never finalized. Basically a white version of Primrose with a flower on her wrists and no bowtie.
Artist's Notes
Primrose was originally designed to look sleek and elegant, but her shapeshifting ability allows for artistic flexibility and creativity. Her proportions are supposed to be similar to a house cat, but size-wise she is probably two or three times larger than a regular cat. Her fur coat can be shifted towards a purpler hue if desired, and her pink accents can also be more magenta instead.
Expression-wise, Primrose may be depicted as smiling, neutral, or full of distain.
Other design notes:
- Technically speaking, Primrose has an extra tuft of flower on her right ear (but I frequently forget to draw it)
- Petal eyelashes are a must!
- The bowtie marking near her neck is part of her fur; it's not a separate bowtie accessory.
Design Trivia
- Technically, she can be drawn with any kind of flowers on her horns, but I just default to pink flowers with 5 round petals. The flower of choice was originally supposed to be linked to her emotions, but this isn't really true anymoroe.- Her horns are ram horns by default, but they can also be drawn as goat horns, antelope horns, etc.
Wyck
[ Primary Business Contact ] Primrose is only a year older than Wyck, but she has been in the business for far longer. Primrose acts as a mentor for Wyck. Due to this, Primrose has grown to trust Wyck the most (but she still doesn't consider Wyck to be a friend and does not speak about personal matters to him).
Bugaboo
[ Benefactor/Business Contact ] Due to Bugaboo's position of great power, Primrose considers Bugaboo to be a valuable asset to her work life. She's actually just as scared as everyone else of him, but Primrose has been able to put up a brave front thus far.
Cadenza
[ Rival ] Even though both Primrose and Cadenza are both demons, they essentially are polar opposites. Primrose has very little respect for Cadenza due to the fact that Cadenza lacks tact and is very audacious. In reality, it's probably Primrose's abrasiveness that causes this relationship to be so rocky.
Sparkle Poof
[ Objective ] Sparkle Poof accidentally summons Primrose. So basically, Sparkle Poof agrees to trade her soul to Primrose in exchange for some black magic help. (It's fine tho; Sparkle successfully befriends Primrose, and thus Sparkle becomes Primrose's first "official" friend)
Ninja Kiwi
[ Acquaintence ] Primrose finds Ninja Kiwi hard to approach, but she also greatly admires Kiwi's stoic virtue. Primrose also has a healthy fear of Kiwi, as she is able to sense Kiwi's aura of power.
Cremeudi
[ Acquaintence ] Primrose doesn't really appreciate how pushy Cremeudi can be and she doesn't really understand his taste in fashion. She also is disgusted with how self-absorbed Cremeudi can be. Primrose tends to discredit whatever he says.
Poiple
[ Acquaintence ] Poiple can sometimes be a little too neurotic for Primrose to handle, but she usually tries to help Poiple rationalize her fears anyways.
Moony McMoonMoon
[ Acquaintence ] Sometimes Primrose is put off by how straightforward Moony is, but for the most part, Primrose and Moony are on neutral terms.
Botchader
[ Anathema ] According to the customs, regular demons are not supposed to be on friendly terms with fear mongrels. Primrose is skeptical of everything Botchader says.
Jinkins
[ Anathema ] According to the customs, regular demons are not supposed to be on friendly terms with fear mongrels. Both Primrose and Jinkins react badly to each other; while Jinkins badmouths her, Primrose simply refuses to speak to Jinkins.
