Vivian's a sweet girl, but she's kind of clueless when it comes to social norms. Mess with someone she cares about, though, and she'll go all out to protect them. You'll catch her crying quite a bit while alone, especially when stuff from her or River’s past comes up. Lately, she's been more logical, but those emotions still hit hard with the right triggers.

Vermina was born into a loving household, with her mother and father. An inkling man killed her mother and since then her father began to resent her- a reminder of her mother- and all inklings. Vermina met Onyx who also had a mother that hated her, and bonded over their experiences. They were close and Onyx was all she had in the world.

Hearing about the Octarian army through underground people, her father- who believed in Octarian supremacy- wanted to send her to the army. She didn’t want to actually work in an army, let alone hurt anyone so she was forcibly brainwashed. Then Vivian was sent off by her father to join the Octo army. Later she had a feeling she was forgetting something in Inkopolis, and escaped through the Metro then went back to the home in Inkopolis she vaguely remembered. She found a guy named River living there.

With her normal obliviousness to social norms she displayed after the brainwashing, she demanded River taught her how to fit in with everyone in the current day. He didn’t really have much of a choice so he complied. After some time of following him around she became really attached to him, and was happy to be around him. Whenever River was upset, she was upset with him. With him she built up a hatred for Westley for whatever he did to River.

Fun Fact: Vivian likes the color orange because of the comfort she felt whenever the sun set as a child. Occasionally you can catch her watching sunsets!
She is called Vivian because the troop she worked with called her by a different name after she was brainwashed!
