Ophelia

BIO

Ophelia is a Starriing...or, at least, she used to be. Nobody knows if she really still is a Starriing anymore, or simply an empty puppet of Meteo Neo in the shape of what she used to be. Quite some time ago, on the maiden voyage of the Metamo Ark, Ophelia was sent to join the crew of the Ark by Starrii herself, believing that her most faithful pupil would be the greatest thing she could offer to send off the ship on its journey. Ophelia was an invaluable addition to the team, able to see into the future, tell far in advance what was going to happen, and helped the team to deduce how to go about their journey in the best way possible.

Before she was corrupted, Ophelia showed a great compassion for everyone around her, and along with Cedar was one of the crew's biggest team moms. Like a typical Starriing, she was somewhat distant and very snarky, but could easily be roused into cheering in joy. Her ability to see into the future was a bit of a disadvantage for her emotionally sometimes, but she believed that the relief in seeing the future repaired by her crew's actions was worth the anxiety.

But as the team approached the evil eye of Meteo, Ophelia had a horrible, horrible vision. Meteo would be destroyed, yes, but the Metamo Ark would be taken with it- losing its stability and becoming the new Meteo, and what's worse, it'd take the life of the ship's captain, transforming them into its host. Worst of all, Ophelia foresaw the captain...and it was Cedar.

Horrified by the thought of losing her beloved to the darkness, Ophelia made the ultimate sacrifice. Throwing herself into the captain's quarters, she forced Cedar out of the room and took the controls, just in time. As she begged for Cedar to get to the escape pods, the ship collapsed around her, and she felt the claws of darkness sinking into her like so many needles...

Ophelia as she once was is no more. She stares endlessly into space, watching as the planet she simultaneously commands and is enslaved by attempts to tear apart the universe she once loved. If there's any little bit of her old self left in her body, it's buried so deep that it would take great determination and, perhaps, the help of a higher power to restore the Starriing she once was.
