About
Tam grew up with just her mom taking care of her. Or, rather, her taking care of her mother. She had to deal with her drunk mother through childhood who was often drunk and abusive, and she was the one who had to pick up responsibilities around the house. She only had her uncle Murray to confide in. One day, she finally ran away from home to escape her mother's grasp. Under the care of her uncle, Tam turned over a new leaf from her checkered past.
After going to college (and dropping out), Tam moved out of her uncle's home, where he started an antique store in her absence. She was unexpectedly summoned to his shop one night, where she found that he had gone missing! Determined to help her only family, Tam accepts the mission to track down a series of cursed artifact to locate her uncle again.
Through the course of a week, Tam reacquaints herself with Ocean City, meets new friends, makes a few (well, many) enemies, and learns the secrets of shadows hiding under the country.

Combat
Tam's first resort isn't to fight, but she's not patient enough to talk an enemy out of battle. She goes in with her fists and muscles, taking out her opponents with hard hits. She prefers to use her action time to deal damage rather than heal herself, leading to her relying on the help of her party members and familiars to keep her health afloat.

DETERMINED | IMPULSIVE | DEFIANT
Tam is the undeniable "leader" of her group, mostly due to the fact that she's the one with a proper lead. Still, her determination keeps the group together and pushes through situations with an attitude of persistence. She doesn't like taking orders from rude authority, standing up to General Bruise, the Mob, and the likes.
Her resistance against authority derives from her own upbringing, and while it allows her to stand up for herself, her spite and tendency to disregard suggestions sometimes lead to her own detriment. Her impulses to do whatever's funniest or whatever annoys the narrator the most often lead to entertaining results, if not unintentional damage to herself.
Apart from that, growing up under her mom's control made Tam fear being stuck in one place for too long. She has a bad tendency of taking off after some time, not wanting to be trapped like she was before. However, she also leaves behinds friends and lovers and never contacts them again, scared that they'll hate her for leaving so suddenly.
She is also empathetic towards others who share family problems, such as Leah, the runaway kids from the Largemouth Bass & Sons, and the President of Shadows herself. She understands their situation and will go out of her way to help them when they need it.

- She absolutely obsessed with fishing after receieving the fishing rod for the first time.
- The scar on her eyebrow was from when she got into a bar fight in college.
- She has no musical talent, even after learning to whistle (it's all off-tune).
- Before coming back home, Tam worked many odd jobs, which explains her employment everywhere.

Tam had always seeked refuge from her life with her eccentric Uncle Murray. While living with him, she learned all about his interest in the supernatural. Although she didn't quite understand it, she picked up enough knowledge from osmosis. After receiving his letter for help, Tam dropped everything to visit her uncle. Naturally, she was devestated to discover his absence...
Tam met Austin at Crystaldream Lake, where he was also searching for his Aunt Ivy. Immediately, the two bonded over their similar goal and decided to continue their search together. Tam also later realizes that "Aunt Ivy" is actually her childhood hero, Ivanabe Gaye, which fuels her to help Austin even more. Austin often advises Tam against interfering with dangerous situations, but she hardly ever listens. Secretly, he also kind of wants to see what happens, even if he doesn't realize it.
Later on, after seeing the sheer amount of people Austin is friendly or acquainted with, Tam begins to reevaluate her own relationship to... well, relationships. Austin clearly has connections all around, even if he doesn't live with them. Perhaps she can learn a thing or two from him and have something of her own worth fighting for... friendship.
Leah met Tam and Austin at the Seaside Institution of Technology. She "helped" Tam with the cooking minor (she actually let Tam use her unfinished cooking) to achieve a perfect score and Austin to obtain all the extra credit in Robotechtronics. Tam doesn't notice Leah's crush on her despite her usual on-point radar, most likely due to her focus on the curses and also concern for Leah's self-destructive habits. She can sense that Leah has beef with her family, and she understands on a spiritual level. She also helps Leah finally turn against Don Toberlone by setting a great asskicking example.
Later on, as their relationship progresses with more romantic tension, Leah learns that Tam never stayed in one place for too long due to a fear of commitment. Leah and Austin help her overcome this just by being good friends, and Leah shows that she is able to keep up with Tam's pace, no matter what she chooses to do next.
Ivy was a major inspiration to Tam as a kid, and Tam is nothing but stoked to finally meet her hero. Ivy is flattered that she inspired a generation of new adventurers and is more than happy to offer advice to Tam.
Ivy's ideals also reflect a lot of Tam's, though in a more positive manner. Ivy is free, yes, but she never lets her free spirit degrade the bonds that she's forged. Tam can take a few notes from her hero when moving forward with new friends!
Tam is exceptionally annoyed at Bruise's brashness and the fact that he's from the military. However, she does hold respect for him as someone who sticks to his word. And plus, his second form is pretty dang cool.
Tam's first impressions of President Margaret are negative, having seen her rise to power from her cryptic dreams. However, after learning about Margaret's past and deceased family, she becomes much more sympathetic. She ultimately divulges her own checkered past in order to convince Margaret to step down from her ultimate plan, and it works. After the group returns to the physical realm, they convince Margaret to stop being the President of Shadows and, maybe, reopen a burger chain or something.
Oh, so this is the manipulative asshole behind it all. Tam sees her mom all too well within Bea and hates her for it. She has a burning resolve to stop Bea and free the world from shadows.
Tam learned of Betty's situation from Austin and vowed to help them take down Betty's awful ex, Henry. Betty was amazed by Tam's boldness and charisma after Henry was finally dealt with, and the two became friends.
