With the force of an angry puppy, Leah slams her fist on the ground in one final attempt to pull the lock open with brute force telekinesis, but it only jolts the lock ever so slightly.
“Gaisi!” Leah curses. “This stupid thing just won’t open!”
Leah gets frustrated too easily for her own good.
The shadows are gone, the shadow government has been dismantled, and just about everything’s been wrapped up. There’s really no reason for her to remain in Ocean City.
But for some reason, the thought of leaving makes her stomach churn.
Tam ponders when to make her departure from Ocean City and encounters difficulty deciding.

Summary for the whole saga: What a brilliant idea than to just one day wander around the streets of Ocean City, aimlessly, until you fall onto gang members. And what if I told you that this gang member was no other than your cousin? Shocker, isn't it? Your cousin then takes you to the Chop Shop, where you would be able to set things up between you and their gang leader, hoping to see a bright outcome out of this exchange. Also, you two catch up eventually.

austin loves to make goofy nicknames! if he likes you, he'll give you a nice and silly nickname. if he doesn't like you, he'll give you a nickname you hate! if you're older than him/of an older generation then he probably won't give you a nickname out of respect. here's a comprehensive list!
"I see," Poindexter says. "I suppose you plan to kill me on the spot, then."
"Oh, of course not!" Austin exclaims with exaggerated dramatism. "That would be way too good for a pathetic excuse of a tin-can-man like you. Nah. I've got something that'll make you really regret ever messing with me and my friends."
Austin bests Terrence Poindexter in a game of wits (and fists). He decides his nemesis' fate with a little mischief sprinkled in.
Austin twiddles his thumbs. “It's Tams and Lei. I don’t know if you’ve noticed it, but Lei likes Tams…”
“Oh, don’t worry — everyone has noticed it,” Jessica scoffs. “I see Leah making googly eyes at Tam every time they’re in a room together.”
The others have noticed Tam and Leah's feelings for each other and form a wingman operation.

“What are you doing,” Leah hisses. This is absurd. This can’t possibly be the first time Tam has met a mob.
“What does it look like I’m doing?” Tam replies, tightening the grip on her bat, eyes dead focused on the group of men in front of them. “I’m telling these mob scum to fuck off.”
The mob confronts the team, and Leah begins discovering her agency.
The walk down the hall is the longest walk of Austin’s life. His heart thumps in anticipation, practically jumping out of his chest. He can’t remember the last time he saw Betty’s face, but it feels like a lifetime. Almost as long as this walk.
The receptionist leads him to a closed door. Beatrice Dieot. The time has come.
Austin finally meets his sister again.

“Legendary adventurer?” The gears in Tam’s brain start to turn. Aunt Ivy. Last name Gaye. Why does that sound so familiar? Wait… Tam gasps loudly, exclaiming, “Your sister is Ivanabe Gaye?”
“Yes… didn’t you know that already?” Rufus asks, puzzled.
Tam and Austin meet Ivy’s brother Rufus in the S.I.T. basement. Here, Tam finds out that Austin’s beloved Aunt Ivy and the legendary Ivanabe Gaye are the same person.
