| Short description Saida, probably the most hated halcylian in the First Glimmers story. Crazy, powerful, chaotic and cruel woman with great abilities of using her alheer element and unique power of sneaking in other's minds. At the beginning of the story, both she and Hilissan come to Braivada and want to rule all the halcylians there, forcing them to terrorize other people. She treats people like useless toys and kills them whenever she needs to. She's obsessed about everything halcylian-related and wants to take over Ester's position, making Braivada "city only for halcylians". Though she's officially Ester's rival, she does more bad things to Taris, thinking that she killed one of halcylians (Efiel). She's able to do everything for revenge of such a horrible crime - because halcylian people are the sanctity for her. She has a few own allies and knows more halcylians in the world than Ester. Actually she's also (one of maaany) children of the Main Villain of the story - Arevalte. Even though she's so cruel for "normal people", halcylians mean everything to her and she's able to do everything to protect them. She would never hurt any of them. Her main goal is making their life better and making them aware of the fact they're the most important and precious beings on this planet - and unite all of the nothern halcylians. After Arevalte releases himself from the undergrounds, Saida completely devotes her life to helping her Father reaching his full potential. Will sacrifice everything for him. Desperately looks for the appreciation she had never got. |
| Personality Very charismatic, sassy and hot tempered lady who never cares about conventions and somehow lives in her own world. High halcylian ideology supporter. She sees all the people as small meaningless beings and plays with them without any regret - just as her Father who teached all his children to treats people like this, because only the Light is the true supremacy. She can be really violent and fierce, but she would never hurt any halcylian - in any way - because the people with Gift of the Light are everything for her and she's able to sacrifice a lot for their good. She really wants to be a leader of some group and feel very important, she just has to be admired and respected. She can ac more graceful and calm, but generally she's just like a volcano that can errupt in any moment. She is a sociopatic person. The most significant thing for her is to unite as many halcylian people as possible and showing their true power to the society, because she believes that they're the most precious beings on this planet and they must reach their full potential to show mere people who rules this world. She had spent many years travelling just to find and meet more halcylians and learn more about them, which is similar to what Ester was doing. According to her Father's ideology - the high halcylian ideology - halcylians are the most powerful beings that should rule this world, because they're rightful species that should live on Earth, while ordinary people are just substitutes, because something wrong went with the Earth's destination billions years ago. Saida believer her Father is the one who could help the world turn the right destination - and she wants to help him as much as possible. Even though she never got a chance to see Arevalte again after she turned 11, she didn't stop believe in him. Saida can get really, really mad if even single halcylian is hurt by people - and she can become the most vindictive person in the world. She seems to have huge amounts of love for EVERY halcylian, no matter if she knows them or no (the only exception is Silorind because she suspects him about "killing" her father and she wants to get revenge on him) - but this love often can get dangerous. When a halcylian does something bad, for example kills someone who is not halcylian, she seems to be completely okay with that, even approves this because she thinks that they should get rid of as many people as possible. She can't understand a halcylian who doesn't want to get revenge on people who did something bad to them and tolerate people or even cooperate with them. She criticizes Ester's ideas and doesn't consider Braivada as something 100% good, because halcylians are on a par with normal people there and they must work just like them, for the same money and in the same conditions. Saida always tries to emphasize that they're more important and they should get way more respect than others. On the other hand - she knows that the group of halcylians in Braivada is the biggest group of united halcylians she ever seen, so she decides that she will try to change their minds, make them more confident, replace Ester and start a revolution. She also tries to encourage other halcylians she knows to help the village and all the special beings living there. She's very skilled at using her powers - and even though alheer can't be used directly for killing, she is specialized in using it in such way that makes people hurt, what leads them to death. She's has more skills in using her Light than Ester and knows more techniques, but isn't as persisted as her. Her individual skill lets her listen to thoughts of others, but only if she's already in contact with them. In the fact she's quite lazy person, because instead of take the actions, she often just waits for the right opportunities. She never forgets about her main goals and ideology though. She can be extremely cunning and cruel and doing all the brutal things makes her satisfied. Sometimes she gets totally crazy and delirious and randomly talks to her Father; moreover, she claims she's watched by him and he knows all her doings. She sees him as kind of a god now. She hates following the rules that aren't made up by herself, basically has no boundaries and acts like she definitely shouldn't act in 1800s, uses way too much dirty talk and doesn't care how people perceive her. Her past wasn't easy, she was just one of many experimental children of Arevalte. He was testing how many children will born as halcylians when their mothers aren't halcylian. When a child hadn't activated its Light before it turned 5, Arevalte was killing it and use its life energy for his other experiments. He was going to kill her too because she hadn't given any sign that she may be a halcylian for long time - fortunately she did it in the last moment. She was never aware of her Father's madness, she was thinking it is just something right and supported his methods, she had always respected him and listened to his words. She became one of his best "students", strongly believing that only the halcylians are important beings on this planet. Arevalte was raising their children until they turned 10 or 11, after that they were sending to the world without any protection and they had to find theirselves in new places. She never wanted to leave Arevalte, but in that moment... he suddenly disappear, anyway. It was the 1866 accident. She had very hard life in these times, but she found some ways to get out of it and make her situation better, as she was quite strong, cunning and never afraid to use her abilities for getting what she wants. She had never forgot her Father's words and always felt that she has some mission to realise. As a very young woman she got married with a random millionaire and later killed him only for being able to inherite all his wealth. Obviously her real partners could be only halcylians, but she isn't a kind of person who could be faithful to their partner. She keeps changing them and can't stay in longer relationship; sometimes she can be with more than one person at once and completely doesn't care about hurting someone's feelings. It's said that she's not interested only in males - and she doesn't mind having a lover who is actually her half-sibling, too. Saida may be polyamorous and bisexual, but she never treats her relationships seriously. She has four children (she had twins two times), but not all of them have the same father. Of course her methods of raising them were quite similar to Arevalte's; maybe she didn't treat them cruel, but still, the most important thing for her was to learn them halcylians' rights and ideology, teach them using their powers. By the time of main action, the children are already grown up - and don't want to have anything to do with their mother. They rebelled against her and all the halcylians' stuff - and ran away from her. It really made her mad and depressed and she just can't accept that fact. Whenever she sees halcylian child, she wants to do the same things with it as she did with her own children. She even attempted to kidnap some halcylian child and pretend that it is hers. She's completely obsessed over the Light and its powers and can't live any other way. Even though she seems to be an evil crazy bitch, she's still an unhappy character, mentally unstable, completely lost in her life and looking for the appreciation she had never got in the past. |

| Relations Hilissan - her associate and helper, but also kind of a rival at the beginning, when both of them want to be the new leader of reunited halcylians. It may look quite weird, but they talk to each other in quite childish way. Saida states they aren't friends, but their relations seem to be good, since their goals are the same. In fact, Hilissan has a huge crush on her and would do everything for her, but she seems to be not interested in him. Since he's a jubilee, she gets a lot of jewellery from him and maybe that's also why she doesn't want to tell him that he is not really her type. She appreciates his sacrifice, though, and wants him to know the Master better, as she clearly sees Hilissan is quite scared of Arevalte. She encourages him to get involved in actions regarding Arevalte and sees him as someone she could trust, as she knows she can use him as she wants. He seems to be not able to rebel against her, even though he knows she has done some horrible things. Ester - she wants to get rid of Ester and take her role in new Braivada. She thinks that the rules she set in the village are bad and unfair for halcylians, since they should get more respect and be treated like special beings. Saida criticizes her everytime and suspects she only uses them to make the village more rich (because of the inventions made with their Light), generally she doesn't approve that halcylians work with people there. Obviously she would never want to kill Ester, as all the halcylians are very important for her. Of course Ester doesn't want her in Braivada, but deep inside she starts to feel pity for her for some reasons. Also, Hilissan forces her to accept Saida's presence in the village. Saida absolutely hates the fact Ester tries to prevent Arevalte from expanding himself and tries to stop her from it, believing that her Father will help the whole world. These two have some serious fights. Taris - Saida does everything to accuse Taris for horrible things, as she thinks that it will help halcylians to unite and rebel against people (it's all for the greater good of course). Saida doesn't have a personal reason to hate Taris, she treats her more like a tool, however, the further the story goes, Saida starts to clearly enjoy torturing her. She makes up the evidences of her two "crimes" (that Saida did herself!), but in fact - for long time Saida DOESN'T KNOW that the story about Taris killing a halcylian woman (Efiel) is actually a fake thing too (made by other halcylian, a fan of Saida, A. It was the main reason she decided to use Taris in her plan. When she discovers it, she is absolutely shocked, but she never feels guilty about hurting Taris multiple times. When no one accuses Taris for anything anymore, Saida knows that she did too much and everyone sees her as mad and cruel bitch now, her whole plan was a whole mess which would have NEVER happened if Agata Lommen hadn't make a first move. Despite everything, Saida states that she finds Taris very attractive. Taris avoids even simple thinking about this woman because she gave her such a huge trauma. Frielon - a halcylian that she had known since childhood, also Arevalte's child. They were friends in the past, but later they got separated and couldn't find each other for many years. When it finally happened, they decided to become a pair, but it's not like Saida really feels something to this guy - she did it only for the fact he was rich (he became a boss in some concern), moreover, she just wanted to play with his feelings a bit. Everard - also her lover and half-sibling. He's much older than her (he's in his 60s). She likes him because he's very experienced at using his Light and also still values his father's ideology - but still, same, it's not a love relationship. Kira - Hilissan's wife, very unsure about her own powers and not skilled; Saida keeps laughing at her and sometimes is mean to her, but the reason for it isn't the envy, like Hilissan would think. It's just the fact Kira underestimates herself and doesn't understand the main halcylians' ideology in 100%. Trilycen - this halcylian was her partner long time ago, but there was no love between them; he's also one of Arevalte's children. He's father of her two children (twins). Lonvius - this halcylian was her partner for quite long time and it's most likely that she really had felt something to him, he's also father of her other two children. They're not related. He was working in a factory where he worked with people, which she couldn't stand - but she forced him to use these people and forcing them to do many dangerous things to produce more money. He decided to break up with her after some years because he just couldn't live with a woman with such hard personality, even though he loved her. Arevalte - her Father. He was raising her with his other "experimental children" until she turned 10-11. He was mainly teaching her the high halcylian theories and treated her just as the other children - without any feels, he only praised her when she perfectly absorbed the whole ideology. In her adult life she still remembers about him - he became kind of god for her, he's her biggest master and she doesn't believe he could die many years ago. Sometimes she talks to him, hoping to be heard, but of course never gets an answer. After Arevalte comes back to life, she becomes completely devoted to him and helps him with everything, still wishing to get his praise. She seems to be obsessed with him. At first Arevalte doesn't really care about the fact she came back to him, but later he starts to appreciate it. He even seems to be proud of her, because she's the only one halcylian who believed that he still exists and really cared about all the things he learned her in the past - in his eyes she is the example of a perfect halcylian. Saida helps him with his "reviving", though it costs her a lot. When a horrible accident happens and Saida unconsciously kills 7 halcylians, Arevalte - which is quite surprising - is able to forgive her. Later he wants her to "repeat" all the process he came through, wishing to make her such powerful and almost immortal being like him. |
| Other info - Her eyes are supposed to be more pale purple than blue. - All her children are named by kinds of trees. - Her voice is very calm and sweet and totally doesn't fit her personality. - She never had any job while she seems to be quite rich, in the fact she uses her partners' money. - Saida's mother was one of the imprisoned women used in the big breeding experiment, she was not a halcylian. Young Saida, just like the other experimental children, had very limited contact with her mother, but she was loved by her. It's not sure what happened with her, but most likely she got killed by Arevalte or Silorind. - Silorind recognizes Saida as Arevalte's daughter even after ~30 years. - After Arevalte is released, Saida helps him to recreate his most significant artefact, Vederlilen, that he uses to transfer the alheer energy in easier way. Unfortunately, Vederlilen II doesn't work like it's supposed to. When Saida officially presents it in front of her trusted halcylian group, she accidentally... kills 7 of them. She kills halcylians, she commits the biggest sin on Earth. After this accident, Saida is not the same person as she was - but surprisingly, her Master is able to forgive her (maybe because this creature lacks of emotions in general...?) - She's actually pretty thicc |
