Short description

Mysterious Silorind might look like good old wise man, but in the fact he's much darker character. Has unusual abilities, much more advanced than average halcylian person has, and definitely hides many secrets. Tends to call himself the guardian of the nature. And he indeed guards something, deep in the underground, from over 30 years. When a group of curious, courageous people decided to create a village in the valley where Silorind lived, he was not optimistic about it. Neither about idea of exploring undergrounds in the mountain area. Maybe he had some actual reasons that he should've told them about?
Silorind is one of a kind being that doesn't belong anywhere, he acts very harshly and ironically and never trusts people. Likes to make them in trouble, use them and play with them. Seems to be cold and totally heartless and doesn't even want to be considered as a mere human. He has huge knowledge about halcylians, but he almost never wants to share anything - annoying people with his riddles is one of his favorite things to do. Lives all alone, basically is homeless, doesn't want to meet with people, no one knows a lot about him.
Silorind used to be an ally of Arevalte, but now they claim to be enemies - their relations were changing during the time (they know each other since they were young). They both were very mighty halcylians, the sensations of the century, with very unique individual traits.  Both of them have heavily experimented with their powers in the past - and of course they used a lot of people for this. Silorind has no idea how many people he killed in his life - but he never cared about it. In opposite to Arevalte, he was killing both average lightless people and halcylians (Arevalte would never kill a halcylian, because halcylians are sainctity for him). Silorind's past is dark and full of secrets that shouldn't have be discovered at all. Deep inside he actually has some feelings, as he once felt in love - unfortunately it ended very tragic. No one knows what are this man's true intentions - but he certainly regrets something that happened in 1866, and now has impact of whole society.
When a lot of worrisome things start to happen in Braivada, he decides to share some of his secrets with Ester- because Ester is the only one person he cares about now. He wants her to be kind of his successor, but sharing everything that she should know is still troublesome for him.

Personality

It is not easy to communicate with Silorind. Harsh, wild, mysterious, talks in a way that almost no one can understand, doesn't want to consider himself as human being. Seems like there is no person who could discover his secrets... unless he would want them to be discovered by someone. Likes to irritate some people and never tells all the things he could tell. Usually sarcastic and mean. It's very hard to get some help from him. He rarely shares some of his knowledge about halcylians, even though he claims that he appreciates Braivada village. Seems to never care about anyone. He knows many dark secrets and sometimes can act like he is mad. He is quite strong and agile for a person his age.
His past is very jumbled and messy, he has many creepy stories behind him. The person who was always accompanying him was Arevalte - they were allies, sometimes they were rivals, but for some reason they were always coming back to each other. Silorind was the only one halcylian who had 2 unique individual powers (arhi-halcylian is a halcylian with such an unique power that he has got since birth), but it got "stolen" from him by Arevalte (who had an individual skill that was making him able to manipulate the energy of all elements of the world). Silorind was able to 1) manipulate other halcylians' alheer; 2) sneak to other people's mind; Arevalte wanted that first one (he was very young and still didn't know that he has even more powerful skill), but accidentally "took" that second one. Because of that, Arevalte can now communicate with his Servant. Silorind hadn't lost his ability completely though; now he is able to sneak to people's dreams and that's why he is called a Dream Master.
His opinion about halcylians and their ideologies varies many times, but he doesn't try to influence anyone. Silorind took a part of Arevalte's several experiments and he was the second creator of the Wheel that later became given to Alfard. Silorind and Arevalte were also founders of the controversial energy-stimulating substance that can make anyone feel much better and save from death, even if they're terminally ill - producing it requires murdering people, as it's made of a part of human brain. This is the substantion that Adam secretly gives Taris to expand her lifetime. Silorind sacrificed many people's lives to produce it, even if at some point he didn't want to use it anymore - he just had to continue it, because he got heavily addicted to that - and when you got addicted, the only way to get out of it is literally death. He states that no one in this world is allowed to use this substantion, besides him and Valte, and is convinced that no one else knows about it's existence. He shared a small portion with Ester, when she was in very bad condition, but never told her what was this thing.
When the story starts, everyone knows that Silorind guards something in the undergrounds, but no one knows what is this. It turns out that it is actually a very chaotic spiritual being that he is...responsible for. Arevalte, who was "partly-halved" by Silorind over 30 years ago, is now a semi-conscious creation with no physical body that slowly tries to gain energy and release from his "prison". Despite that Silorind knew how big risk it is, he let Amaralf's team start a mine there. Silorind thought that Arevalte will always remain in this form, where he was not able to take any action at all... but he had no idea that Arevalte, using his stolen ability, "hired" a Servant who works for him in order to make him powerful enough to release himself - and become sort of a mythical Light-bearer, halcylian deity who can transfer the alheer element everywhere.
When Silorind notices the signs that something worrisome happens with Arevalte's spirit, he decides to learn Ester how to treat it in the future, while Silorind himself is going to sacrifice himself just to slow down Arevalte's "expansion". After Silorind prepares Ester for fight with this extraordinary creature and leaves her a whole "book" with all of his knowledge, memories and results of experiments, he goes to Arevalte and leds to peculiar explosion that has to stop Arevalte's growth. Later it turns out that it didn't help much - and now Silorind is considered as dead.
But is that really true? Everyone just have to... wait... and observe.

Relations

Ester - Ester is probably the first halcylian that Silorind honestly admires and has a lot of hopes about her. Ester is very curious about the secrets he's hiding and she knows that he has huge knowledge about the Light. Their relations aren't like a "master and his student" though, because Ester doesn't treat him with big respect (Silorind annoys everyone, even Ester lost her patience for him). In fact, Ester is the first person that Silorind cares about - 30 years after he lost his first and last love. There isn't any romantic relation between him and Ester, because she's younger than him about 60 years, but from some reasons he really depends on her. Sometimes he wants to use her and thinks like she's way more persistent, almost immortal.
In the end, he gives her access to his deepest secrets and has hope that she'll be his "successor". He has some silent hopes that in the future she will be fighting with Arevalte's expansion.

Arevalte - his ally, his rival, depends of the time. The second mightest halcylian of the century who thinks he is the halcylians' Messiah - and who wants the Earth to be a place only for them. He has a powers to manipulate the energy of whole world and implant the Light whenever he wants.
Their relations are very complicated and they often change during their life. In 1866 Arevalte blackmailed Elmo Bertil to kill Lucia, Silorind's only love, and that made Silorind absolutely mad - in this moment he started to hate both Arevalte and Beril family (yet he was aware that Elmo just had no other choice, since Arevalte threatened him that he will kill his whole family if he won't do this). Even though Elmo killed Lucia, Arevalte didn't wanted to keep the word and attempted to kill Elmo's wife. Silorind managed to save her and promised that he will take a revenge on Arevalte. He used some advanced alheer procedures - and literally broke him into pieces. He didn't kill him, he just halved him (thinking it will be worse than death), making his mind and alheer element separated from the body - and imprisoned this "something" deep in the mine. 30 years later he regrets what he has done, being aware that he still gave Arevalte a chance to "resurrect" himself (with the help of Servant) and turn into something even more powerful than he was. Silorind states that he didn't really know what process he put him through in that moment - and he had no idea that Arevalte will ever be able to end up so powerful like this. On the other hand, Silorind... is clearly impressed of his own creation. He literally made a person immortal. And this is NOT something halcylians are able to do. When Arevalte is awakened, Silorind wants to prevent him from growing more and get rid of him, but he seems to know that he just won't do much here.

Lucia - in 1866 Silorind found this girl in the forest and helped her from the distance. He fell in love with her, but it was more like infatuation, a platonic love; he never got closer to her, it's most likely that he even never talked to her - but she was really precious to him. She was only a human, not a halcylian, so Arevalte decided she should dissappear from their life. It's very possible that Arevalte was just jealous about her. Even after 30 years, Lucia still haunts Silorind's mind. The fun fact that Silorind seems to treat with some kind of adoration is that Lucia was killed on 30th November '66, while exactly a year later, Ester was born - Silorind probably sees Ester as her reincarnation, sort of, and it is very important for him.

Amaralf - Silorind's favorite person to annoy. Amaralf is really fascinated about this man and his knowledge about halcylians. Silorind seems to not like him for one mysterious reason, but he really tries to know him better. He let him and his team exploring the mine and starting their business, never mentioning about the huge danger that was hidden underground. Amaralf often gets irritated by his weird acting and calls him the awful old duffer, but actually he still somehow respects him - while Silorind has simply no respect for him at all. Sometimes Amaralf gets really angry at him and even wishes him death, he's think that's really unfair that Silorind doesn't want to tell them so many things that they should know. But maybe he had his reasons to keep it as secrets? It's hard to say if their relations are rather good or bad because it's really complicated. Silorind may even hate him (he hates the whole Bertil family for a thing that Elmo had done 30 years before the main action), but he is still important for him. He sends him the hints in his dreams that help him to solve his riddles. From some reason Silorind really wants him to get into Arevalte's case. The old man seems to be very jealous about the fact Amaralf and Ester are a couple, but that's just his personal thing - Silorind really, really dislikes pairs. Accorind to Silorind, Amaralf has very high chances to become mentally ill.
Their relation change with time, because Silorind is trying to give him some hints about his mission and finally admits that he sees him as a very bright and brave man.

Elmo - Amaralf's grandfather. He used to be Silorind's only human friend and he actually helped Elmo to get wealthy, but their adventures ended up very badly. Arevalte really hated this man and forced him to kill Lucia - that's why Silorind started to hate all the Bertil family. It's very possible that Arevalte was simply jealous about Silorind and Elmo's relationship and the high halcylian ideology had nothing to do with it - it was more like a personal thing. Elmo couldn't cope with this whole situation and it led him to committing a suicide a few years later; the fact was completely unknown for the whole family besides his son Albrikt and his wife Michaela, Amaralf discovered this over 20 years later.

Taris - if Silorind only knew that Adam uses his forbidden invention to save her life... what would happened?

Other info

- Due to using the substantion for many years, he is way too strong and energic as for a 90 years old grandpa.
- He is considered as dead for some years, after "sacrificing his life" in the final battle with Arevalte. Technically he's not alive nor dead for next some (?) years. He remains in some kind of a cocoon made from alheer element in the undergrounds. No one knows why he is there and how to release him from it, but he actually has his own secret aim now. He experiments on himself - and tries to recreate the same process that he did over 30 years ago. With himself. Yes, he wants to become Valte 2.0 - in order to get rid of real Arevalte.
- His name Cilearinn is a combination of two words cileas, lann-orinn from the arhilian language which mean moon, treasure. All of his ancestors and siblings had similar combinations with the cil part. It's a quite common thing for halcylians' families that come from the lost mysterious island (Halmaime).
- Young Silorind killed his whole own family. They were the "high halcylians", who wanted to kill as many normal people as possible, thinking they're just unnecessary rubbish on this world. He did it because he wanted to prevent them from murdering people. He wouldn't do it some years later, due to Valte's influence he started to support exactly the same ideology like his family... And then it got changed again.
- He's infertile. If he was not, he would have similar amounts of children like Arevalte, because he was involved in his biggest experiment as well.
- Silorind is destined to kill Saida. Well, not only Saida. [work in progress]
- Albrikt was completely unaware of Elmo's connection with Silorind until Amaralf showed him Silorind's notes left for Ester.
- He eats bugs, rarely sleeps and never wears pants.
- He is really not the type of good old Gandalf who will help you fighting Barlog.
